Dana Miller transitions to consultant role at Ultimate Direction

Rexburg, Idaho, September 10, 1999 -- Ultimate Direction has announced the resignation of executive vice president and chief operating officer Dana Miller. Miller will continue as a key consultant and product tester for Ultimate Direction from his new home in Parowan, Utah.

Miller began his relationship with Ultimate Direction as a sponsored athlete in the late 80ís and has been in management at the company since October of 1992. Miller decided to leave the company prior to the acquisition of Ultimate Direction by Sierra Designs. In his new role with Ultimate Direction, Miller will consult on marketing and product development projects. He will also continue to write copy and test product for the company.

As a top ranked mountain ultramarathoner and pioneer of adventure running, Miller looks forward to continuing his work with Ultimate Direction. "In the next few years I am hoping to develop new avenues of running that will require even more cutting edge innovation from Ultimate Direction," said Miller. "I am glad to have the opportunity to continue working with Bryce (Ultimate Direction founder) to develop new products. There isnít another company out there that takes the needs of endurance athletes as seriously."

Tapping into his academic background in counseling psychology, Miller is now a counselor at an adult and alternate high school in Cedar City. He is very happy to be living next to miles of mountain trails and minutes from skiing.

Ultimate Direction is the premier brand in high performance hydration systems for trail runners, adventure racers, fastpackers and hikers. Ultimate Direction was acquired by leading outdoor manufacturer Sierra Designs in June.
