LiveToPlay.com Launches Series of Charity Auctions

Sausalito, California, November 4, 1999 - LiveToPlay.com, the first website to auction outdoor sports equipment, is launching a special auction series that will benefit non-profit organizations. On November 4, 1999, LiveToPlay will go live with their first charity auction to benefit the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA).

The first items on the block are a Tomac Buckshot Frame and a bike jersey signed by John Tomac. Johnny T (as he is referred to) is a legend in the cycling industry and winner of multiple championships in BMX, road and mountain bike racing. IMBA works to keep trails open for mountain bikers by promoting responsible riding and volunteer trail work.

LiveToPlay will introduce a new benefit auction every few weeks. Products to look forward to are K2 limited edition skis, Marmot jackets, Arbor snowboards, Timbuk 2 bags and much more. Future auctions will benefit various organizations including the Surfrider Foundation that is dedicated to protecting the nationís oceans, waves and beaches.

"It is important to LiveToPlay that we use our technology and connections within the outdoor industry to help advance the mission of non-profit organizations working to protect open space," said Susan Lange of LiveToPlay.com. "We look forward to giving back to the outdoor community through our new auction program and are actively seeking non-profit organizations with common charitable objectives."

The company is owned and operated by outdoor enthusiasts that value both superior products and the time to LiveToPlay. The mission of LiveToPlay is to provide the best outdoor products at great prices in a cool and easy-to-use auction format.
