Chrome Truk Shoes Chrome Truk Shoes
Since it appeared on the scene, Chrome has had a reputation for durable, high-quality products. They have to be tough to stand up to the abuse that bike messengers dish out. Chrome Truk shoes are just as tough as its messenger bags. After all, they're made out of the same ultra-tough 1000-denier Cordura. Hammering through city streets on a fixie is every bit as hard on your equipment as it is on your body. Chrome built its Truk shoes to stand up to unreasonable amounts of cruelty, then come back and ask for seconds. The sole is made from tried-and-true vulcanized rubber, and it's not just tough--it's skid-resistant, as well. A board-lasted outsole stiffens up the shoe for better pedaling efficiency and blister elimination. The heel is also protected with a rubber heel cup, and the midsole has a reinforcing nylon/fiberglass shank.

Diadora Phantom II Shoes - Men's Diadora Phantom II Shoes - Men's
Stepping up to clipless pedals and cycling shoes can be intimidating, especially if you're relatively new to cycling; however, if you're thinking about investing in your first pair, we recommend models like Diadora's Phantom II Men's Shoes. With a forgiving price and trickle-down technology from Diadora's impressive lineup of pro shoes, the Phantom II's will allow you to trade-in those worn out trainers and enjoy the vastly improved power transfer and comfort that a well-fitting pair of cycling shoes can provide. We like that Diadora constructs the Phantom II on its Race Plus last. Its roomier fit dispels the assumption that all cycling shoes are tight and constricting while allowing for extra layering in the cold months. For cyclists with a slightly wider forefoot or newer riders who don't want a confining shoe, the Race Plus last keeps the Phantom II secure on your foot without the aggressive, metatarsal-squeezing cut of a race shoe. Diadora's supportive Suprell-Mesh upper wraps the tops of the feet and includes perforations and mesh paneling to allow for ample airflow. In the notoriously difficult heel area of the shoe, Diadora adds its shaped heel cup to address slippage and allow for efficient power transfer throughout your pedal stroke. Also contributing to efficient power transfer, Diadora's Sport Road CR outsoles rely on composite-reinforced nylon to provide responsive stiffness as you spin the pedals. The shoes are finished with two hook-and-loop straps to achieve a secure, not constricting, fit.

Diadora Speed-Vortex Shoes - Men's Diadora Speed-Vortex Shoes - Men's
Diadora has learned to walk a fine line between comfort, efficiency, and weight in its cycling shoes. For the Speed Vortex Cycling Shoes, the Italian manufacturer opts for a slightly heavier sole (by 10 grams per pair) that incorporates the same NET breathing technology found in the line-topping Vortex Pro. The soles are constructed of a synthetic mesh and breathable, impermeable membrane that increase the soles' transpiration capacity without letting moisture, mud, and other external elements in. The Speed Vortex Shoes also feature the Vortex Pro's Suprell-Tech Morpho AM Cage technology. The shoes stay tight against your feet without restricting circulation. Inside the upper, the EVA insert is perforated to further promote breathability and removable, so you can optimize your level of arch support to your own foot shape. The molded, abrasion-resistant Duratech heel cup is updated with a griping texture to keep your foot from slipping, but is also removable if your feet demand it. The closure system incorporates a Boa wire system -- almost mandatory for quality cycling shoes today -- and a hook-and-loop strap. The Boa wire lets you fine-tune the fit across the top of your foot, where the most pressure is applied to the upper, and the hook-and-loop strap lets you modulate the pressure over your metatarsal area. Anyone who's experienced crippling hot spots in the toe box will appreciate this variable approach, as it lets you customize the shoe's fit for firm support and spacious comfort at the same time.

Diadora Trivex Plus II Shoes - Men's Diadora Trivex Plus II Shoes - Men's
Harmoniously balancing the needs of dedicated cyclists, the Diadora Men's Trivex Plus II Shoes offer fast-drying comfort, a truly customizable fit, and efficient power transmission. Supporting the shoe's upper, the Morpho A. M. Cage stabilizes your foot during rapid pedaling. Suprell-Mesh enhances moisture transport and evaporation for a pleasantly cool feel on hot summer rides. Along the inside, the anti-stretch EVA footbed softens the feel without stretching out, meaning it'll hold its shape through long-distance use. Securing the fit when you're hammering down straightaways and climbing steep grades, the Performance 4-point buckle ratchets incrementally for a customizable fit. Its large button release ensures a quick exit when you're finished riding for the day. Hook-and-loop straps confidently close along the mid and lower sections for added support. The upper strap features Multifit adjust, which gives you the choice of using two different strap locations to accommodate varying foot widths and shapes. Stiff enough to be responsive, yet not overly rigid like race-specific soles, the Performance Road CR sole features a composite-reinforced material for efficient power transmission. It sports a removable heel pad made of Duratech rubber for slip-free grip when you're dismounting from your bike or cruising into the cafe post-ride. The heel pad is fixed by a single screw and easily removes from the inside by lifting up the footbed.

Diadora Vortex Comp Shoes - Men's Diadora Vortex Comp Shoes - Men's
If that title seems contradictory, it's only because manufacturers have, by and large, struggled to design a shoe that blends all-day comfort with race-level power, and we think that's just because they haven't tried hard enough. Diadora's figured it out, at least, with the Vortex Comp Cycling Shoe, a stiff and powerful kick that actually puts as much emphasis on serious comfort as on pedaling rage. Racing centuries, say, or competing over even longer distances will take a toll on your feet, so Diadora hooked the Vortex up with a Hi-Vent insole and perforated insert to improve breathability, and made sure the strong but supple Suprell-Tech upper was also perforated to increase airflow. You can also optimize the level of arch support to increase comfort. Diadora also built the upper with a Morpho AM soft TPU cage and Duratechheel support to lock your foot in place, especially during upstroke, and outfitted the Vortex with a ratcheting Boa closure that provides a snug but pinch-free fit over the instep. Towards the toes, two hook-and-loop straps function basically as "set it and forget it" volume adjusters, so you don't have to fiddle with them constantly (they also open from inside to out, so you can adjust them on the go if need be). Comfort is dialed, for sure, but Diadora also had to make sure power came to the party. It did, in the form of the Comp Road KR carbon-reinforced sole, which rates an 8. 5 on Diadora's 10-point stiffness scale. It transfers plenty of power into the pedals without transmitting all the road vibration into your feet, which makes it perfect for the rougher roads you're bound to encounter on longer rides.

Diadora Vortex Pro Shoes Diadora Vortex Pro Shoes
The Vortex Pro is made with Diadora's Pro Road outsole, a full 3k carbon fiber sole with NET breathing technology. The outsole combines synthetic mesh and an impermeable membrane for protection from external elements (moisture, mud, etc.) all while enhancing the shoe's overall breathability. In addition, the EVA molded insole uses a perforated construction made from waterproof materials. The result is a shoe built to keep your feet dry. Diadora designed the uppers of the Vortex Pro with its Suprell-Tech, Morpho AM Cage technology. This special "space frame" design ensures a tight and pressure-free fit, and combines with the molded heel support to keep your foot comfortably in place. The Vortex Pro also features a removable anti-slip heel pad to eliminate any heel slippage, and the Boa 2 cable system provides a quick and secure closure. The Vortex Pro's Race Fit provides a snug fit across the entire foot to guarantee that all your power is going to the pedals.

Diadora Vortex Racer II Shoes - Men's Diadora Vortex Racer II Shoes - Men's
Founded in a small Italian town in the middle of last century, Diadora has had a long, admirable history of crafting athletic shoes for soccer, running, cycling, and more. The brand's Vortex Racer II Shoes remain steadfast, mid-range members of its road cycling lineup, with trickle-down technology from pro-level siblings in a design that won't make you feel like you're sacrificing for price. Diadora uses a very similar upper construction throughout its cycling shoes, making small alterations but retaining a balance of mesh and synthetic microfiber to provide a contoured shape and maintain breathability across the top of the foot. For the Vortex Racer II, Diadora uses its lightweight Suprell-Mesh upper, built around its form-fitting race last. Inside the shoe, a perforated EVA insole adds some support along the bottom of the foot, while a shaped heel cup -- the same used in Diadora's pro-level models -- adds security around the heel. To allow for more approachable pricing while retaining stiffness, Diadora adds its Performance Road CR sole to the Vortex Racer. This composite-reinforced platform incorporates the company's NET Breathing System, which is a network of synthetic fibers molded around a breathable and waterproof membrane. This patented, ventilated design anticipates rider perspiration while preventing moisture, mud, and other external elements from getting into the shoes. The design of the sole also keeps stack height and weight to a minimum while maintaining impressive rigidity -- a 6. 0 on the stiffness index -- to deliver valuable watts straight from your feet to the pedals. Finally, Diadora pairs one Boa dial with a hook-and-loop strap to allow for a secure fit without the risk of painful pressure points or numbness across the sensitive areas on the top of your foot. The Vortex Racer II also includes a sturdy Duratech rubber heel pad, which provides excellent surface grip and high abrasion resistance and can be replaced to extend the life of the shoe.

Diadora X-Vortex Comp Shoes - Men's Diadora X-Vortex Comp Shoes - Men's
Refining the connection between your feet and pedals is the best way to get faster without spending a jillion dollars or almost as many hours, so Diadora's X-Vortex Comp Men's Mountain Bike Shoes are a relatively minor investment that'll help take your riding to the next level. The secret's in the Speed MTB KR sole, a carbon-reinforced plate that rates 8. 5 on Diadora's stiffness scale, so it won't let watts go to waste. It won't transfer road vibrations into your feet, either, so you won't feel like you've been riding on a rumble strip after a day of pedaling. Inside, a perforated Hi-Vent EVA insole helps your feet stay cool and supported, and its removable design lets you pop it out to dry or swap it for your own custom insoles.A stiff sole isn't the end-all be-all, though. A shoe has to fit like a glove, and the X-Vortex's Suprell-Tech upper and Morpho AM TPU cage work together to keep your foot locked in place with the perfect combination of stiffness and flexibility. The cage prevents the shoe from deforming under pressure, and an additional Duratech heel support makes sure your heel doesn't slip, which improves fit and reduces the likelihood of blisters. All this tech seals up around your foot via a Boa dial closure and two hook-and-loop straps, so you can fine-tune the fit without having to worry about pinching or pressure points.

Giro Alpineduro Mountain Bike Shoe - Men's Giro Alpineduro Mountain Bike Shoe - Men's
You see a mountain; you must go up it. You see rocky, inhospitable terrain; you must crush it. Somewhere up there past the tree line is a lone, scraggly shrub, and only its sparse leaves can sate your Alpine hunger. You fancy yourself a mountain goat, and the Giro Alpineduro shoes are your hooves. Like your hircine inspiration, the Alpineduro presents a cloven, two-part sole to the ground. The area under your metatarsal bones is stiffened up in order to keep power transfer efficient and diffuse pressure from your pedals. The forefoot is engineered with a bit of flex that hinges on a nylon shank. The shank adds support across the middle of your foot, taking stress off of your calves and arches while also adding an element of additional armor to protect against the debris of rough mountain paths favored by goats. Like many of Giro's other mountain shoes, the Alpineduro includes Vibram's Mont outsole. Mont comprises a pair of complementary compounds, IdroGrip and Megagrip, which respectively lean toward grip and durability for the right qualities in the right parts of the shoe. The outsole's tread pattern also provides debris clearance for two-bolt clipless pedals or accommodates flat pedal riding with optional cleat plate covers. The upper is equally protective of your delicate hooves. It's made of the same breathable microfiber found throughout Giro's shoe line, but its construction -- including the two D-rings used to reinforce the top two lace holes -- is more akin to the upper you'd expect from a mountaineering boot than a cycling shoe. While it is breathable, it leans more toward shielding you from the elements, so there aren't any perforations or vents. This protection is increased by a waterproof liner and PrimaLoft insulation. The red laces, reminiscent of 550 paracord in looks and durability, tuck under a strap on the tongue to stay out of the way.

Giro Code VR70 HV Shoes Giro Code VR70 HV Shoes
With their Easton carbon fiber sole, Vibram rubber outsole, and impeccable Giro aesthetics, the Code VR70 Shoes were a much-loved update to the original Codes. The Giro Code VR70 HV Shoes bring all that marvelous functionality to those of us with wide feet, because even the biggest of feet still deserve a lightweight, durable, and comfortable shoe that can tackle any trail in style. The Code VR70 HV's closure system consists of a middle hook-and-loop strap that goes across the mid-foot and takes pride of place over the ratcheting buckle on the top strap. The middle strap essentially turns the entire panel of inner fabric into an extension of itself, eliminating pressure on the metatarsal bones by pulling equally from a large swath of fabric on the inside of the foot. The bottom strap adjusts the fit around the toes, so the firm fit at the top of the shoe doesn't have to extend to the toe box. The upper is made of Giro's lightweight and highly breathable Evofiber with perforations for added cooling. This contributes not only to the sleek, minimalist profile, but it also reduces weight. The Evofiber is reinforced with high-frequency welded polyurethane in areas where your foot is likely to bash -- or get bashed by -- rocks. The polyurethane makes the upper feel a bit stiffer than it would if it were 100% Evofiber, but as the miles add up, the poly will soften a bit and conform to your foot. Giro incorporates an Easton EC70 sole in the Code VR70 HV for a stiff, efficient ride while a Vibram Mont outsole provides durable grip. Vibram's Mont comprises a pair of complementary compounds, IdroGrip and Megagrip, which respectively lean toward grip and durability for the right qualities in the right parts of the shoe. The outsole's tread pattern also accommodates flat pedal riding while providing debris clearance for two-bolt, clipless cleats, so they'll travel with you between disciplines.

Giro Code VR70 Shoes Giro Code VR70 Shoes
If you're anything like us, your "mountain" shoes quickly take over as your 'cross shoes, then your "gravel" shoes, and then, finally, your road shoes. Sure, there are benefits to a road-specific shoe, but as more and more of us use our road bikes on less and less well-maintained roads, a shoe with a little bit of tread on the bottom is nice to have. The Giro Code VR70s are ideal for this slow takeover of two-hole cleats. At their base is an EC70 sole with Vibram (yes, that Vibram) tread over it. You get the best of both worlds: a shoe that's stiff and transfers power very well, and a shoe that allows you to walk around a bit without destroying your cleats, or slipping on rocks. They close with a classic buckle/hook-and-loop strap combo, and are quite easy to adjust on the fly. Giro's also included the SuperNatural Fit Kit, an insole system designed to help you get the best fit possible from your shoes.

Giro Empire ACC Limited Edition Cycling Shoes Giro Empire ACC Limited Edition Cycling Shoes
We're loving the lace-up revolution, which is why we decided to partner with Giro--the instigator-in-chief--to produce the Empire ACC Limited Edition Cycling Shoes. They're essentially the same shoes as the regular Empire, just bathed in our logo's own take on the tricolor: red, grey, and lighter, reflective grey. The result is a refreshing departure from the usual white, black, or in-your-face fluo, subtly representing Competitive Cyclist with an aesthetic treatment that stands out. But enough about us, let's talk about shoes. The Empire ACC platform made such a splash and inspired so many imitators because, contrary to industry assumptions, laces aren't a useless anachronism in cycling shoe closure systems. They provide seven different points of contact for fit customization, which is one, two, three, four more than the typical three-strap shoes that have largely defined cycling footwear for the past three decades. More contact points means finer tune-ability; finer tune-ability means fewer hotspots; fewer hotspots mean less discomfort--you can see where we're going here, the Empire model's unrivaled comfort means we'll be going a lot longer without foot pain. Underneath the distinctive Competitive colorway lie the standard Giro Empire uppers, which constitute a single piece of Evofiber microfiber per shoe. This material is exceptionally lightweight and highly breathable, and it features perforations for added cooling. This contributes not only to the sleek, wind-cheating profile, but it also reduces weight. And while the shoes might not appear to be very supportive, the opposite is actually true. Because of the flexibility of the microfiber and the classic lace system, the shoes are able to be tied so that they fit your feet like a second skin. Adding to this is the ultralight and ultra-stiff Easton EC90 ACC Carbon Sole. Though it's not as light as the Empire SLX's superlative sole, the EC90 remains one of the stiffest soles in the industry. It's also one of t...

Giro Empire ACC Shoes Giro Empire ACC Shoes
One glance at Giro's Empire ACC Shoes, and you'll see they're different. Rather than the ubiquitous buckle/strap combo, Giro's outfitted them with something decidedly old-fashioned -- laces. That's about where the old-fashioned nature stops, though. The uppers are a single piece of Evofiber microfiber, which is highly breathable, but is also perforated for additional airflow. Those uppers are attached to an ultra-stiff Easton EC90 ACC Carbon Sole. This sole is among the stiffest available, and due to high grade of carbon fiber used in its construction, is also one of the slimmest, producing a stack height of just 6. 5mm. Between the uppers and the sole sits Giro's lauded SuperNatural FitKit, the long name for its user-tunable footbed. These insoles have swappable arch support so you can tune the fit of your shoes precisely to your feet.

Giro Empire SLX Shoes Giro Empire SLX Shoes
At just 175 grams, the Giro Empire SLX shoes are breathing some pretty rarefied air. Not many shoes on the market come within 100 grams of the Empire, but it's not giving up anything in terms of performance, either. The uppers are a single piece of Evofiber microfiber, which is highly breathable, but is also perforated for additional airflow. The shoe closes using just the laces you no doubt noticed, but those laces are specially designed to remain tied, and there's also a lace garage on the tongue to ensure they don't get anywhere near your drivetrain. Those uppers are attached to an ultra-stiff Easton EC90 SLX2 Carbon Sole. This sole is among the stiffest available, and due to high grade of carbon fiber used in its construction, is also one of the slimmest, producing a stack height of just 6. 5mm. A low stack height means less power lost to thick cleat plates. And, to make the Empire SLX even lighter, Giro's opted for another old-school classic --Ti hardware. Between the uppers and the sole sits Giro's lauded SuperNatural FitKit, the long name for its user-tunable footbed. These insoles have swappable arch support so you can tune the fit of your shoes precisely to your feet.

You've been eyeing Giro's VR90 shoes for a while and trying to settle on just one color option, or maybe you already have a pair or two and are looking to cap off that rad new kit design with the perfect extended #kitfit. Either way, we've collaborated with Giro to bring you the Empire VR90 Limited Edition Shoes in a colorway that you won't find anywhere else. Pairing a flash of silver bling with subtle hits of Competitive Cyclist red, these shoes will stand out as they stand up to all manner of muddy switchbacks, rocky descents, gravel rollers, and myriad epic adventuring. These shoes are packing all the features we love about the standard VR90s, including a lace-up closure system for seven points of adjustability and a comfy, near-custom fit. The shoes also include Giro's SuperNatural Fit Kit, which is a series of three arch support options that lets you further fine tune the feel. In a small yet important demonstration of Giro's attention to detail, an integrated lace keeper holds lace ends securely in place to assuage worries of an inopportune chain grab or crankset encounter. Giro uses a one-piece upper made from soft, breathable Evofiber with perforations for extra cooling ventilation when the mercury rises. This material is malleable enough to shape to your foot for an exceptionally comfortable fit while resisting stretch and loss of shape over time. In this regard, we might liken them to a favorite pair of well-worn slippers--if, that is, the slippers were high-tech, durable, and ridiculously low-weight. The polished finish accentuates the color with the added bonus of quick and easy cleaning after a muddy day in the saddle. Underfoot, Giro incorporates an ultralight and ultra-stiff Easton EC90 carbon fiber sole with a low 6. 5mm stack height for efficient power transfer regardless of terrain. To manage hike-a-bike or barrier-running situations, Giro finishes the VR90 with a Vibram Mont rubber lugged outsole and a Mid-Foot Scuff Guard. The two conspire ...

Giro Empire VR90 Shoe Giro Empire VR90 Shoe
One look at the Giro Empire VR90 and you know something's different. Giro's use of laces on a top-end XC shoe sets them apart from the rest of the laces-wearing mountain bike clan by at least a couple inches of suspension travel. At the base of the Empires is an Easton carbon fiber EC90 sole -- the stiffest and lightest in Easton's impressive lineup of carbon fiber. Vibram's sturdy and grippy Mont outsole is then layered over the carbon, both to give you a bit more walkability in the shoes, but also to protect the carbon. Bonded to the Vibram/Easton combo at the sole is a one piece microfiber upper that's incredibly breathable and comfortable, but won't stretch out over time, ensuring you get the same fit throughout the life of the shoe. Giro's lauded SuperNatural Fit Kit insoles are also included. Giro Factor Techlace Shoe - Men's Giro Factor Techlace Shoe - Men's
In an ever more contentious world, Giro proves that erstwhile foes can become valuable allies if they simply work together. The Factor Techlace Men's Shoes combine three of the most common fastening systems--Boa's IP1 dial, laces, and hook-and-loop straps--allowing them to peacefully coexist as joint headliners. The result blends the minimalist profile and customizable fit of the lace-up Empire with the user-friendly convenience of the original Factor. We think that it's also just cool as hell. The Factor Techlace is the first Giro shoe to feature a Boa dial, and Giro uses it to anchor the shoe at the top, which is where the IP1's single millimeter adjustment will come the most in handy. The rest of the shoe is secured by hook-and-loop straps that are in turn anchored by laces. Fit-wise, they feel similar to the original Factor once the straps are tightened and the dial is dialed, but replacing the full straps with laces involves a reduction in material and a corresponding loss of weight. Giro credits the Factor Techlace with a tidy 40g weight loss per shoe when compared to the plain ol' Factor. There will undoubtedly be a chorus of retro-grouches lamenting the combination as unnecessary ostentation, but we heard the same critique of laces when the Empire fist launched, and now it's impossible to imagine a group ride or race without at least one pair in the bunch. The Easton EC90SLX2 sole is an upgrade over the Factor's ACC model, and its use of lighter carbon fiber also contributes to the weight loss. Despite shedding grams, the sole remains stiffly efficient and features a full complement of steel hardware for mounting cleats and replacing the heel pad. As with all of Giro's race shoes, stack height is kept to a minimum in order to eliminate as many barriers between your watts and the pedals as possible. The sole is mated to a single-piece upper made of the same Teijin Evofiber SL Giro uses for its other top-tier race shoes, so the Factor Techlace is similar ...

Giro's Grynd Shoes will allow you to pedal efficiently during your next jaunt around the neighborhood or weekend spin class, and then walk around afterwards without wearing down your cleats, slipping on the concrete, or perforating a hardwood floor. The shoes are constructed to look and feel like sneakers as you walk around or drive to your spin class, and they have a recessed two-bolt cleat design that works with or without clipless pedals. The Grynds feature synthetic leather uppers with mesh paneling for breathability. They're secured by a lace-up closure and hook-and-loop strap to keep dangling laces safely contained. Two hook-and-loop straps provide a secure, ultra-snug fit without wasting precious time, thanks to their biaxial design. In fact, you can dial-in the fit of the forefoot strap before your race, leaving just one upper strap to adjust for speedy transitions. The shoe's Aegis antimicrobial footbed combats built-up odor, while its adjustable arch cradles your foot in customizable support. Maximizing efficiency where the pedal meets the shoe, the Easton EC70 carbon composite sole features a lowered 6. 5mm stack height for powerful response without the sole inhibiting energy transfer. Moreover, you'll find a scuff guard at the heel, as well as an easy-pull heel tab for even faster transitions when you're moving from swim to bike stages.

Giro New Road Republic Shoes Giro New Road Republic Shoes
Modeled along the same lines as the top-level competition Empire shoes, the New Road Republic Shoes democratize the casual-meets-cycling aesthetics of Giro's lace-up cycling kicks. Instead of the low weight and high price of the ambitious Empire, the Republic features a walking sole made of DuPont's Zytel nylon and armored with replaceable, sneaker-style walking pads that provide plenty of grip while you're navigating the pedestrian world between rides. Of course, the Republics are cycling shoes, so the soles are still plenty stiff and bipedal freedom doesn't come at the cost of efficiency when you're pedaling a bicycle. They also feature a breathable, durable, non-stretch microfiber upper that's similar to their imperial cousin, and the seven points of lace-up contact mean that the fit is just as customizable. A loop on the tongue locks the laces down after you've run the bunny around the tree, so the laces sit tight in their rabbit hole instead of hopping into your chainring.

Giro Privateer R Shoe - Men's Giro Privateer R Shoe - Men's
The Giro Privateer R Men's Shoe fulfills the duty of hardworking trail blazer within Giro's line, offering the rugged durability, micro-adjustable fit, and grippy traction desired by singletrack connoisseurs. Functional updates improve the shoe's traction when you're forced to dismount and hike over unruly stretches of trail. Most notably, the previous sole featured harder lugs that felt slippery across slick rocks, roots, and steep inclines. Completely overhauled, the redesigned sole uses high-traction rubber lugs that are much softer, so you'll have no trouble gripping onto a variety of terrain features in the forest, desert, and mountains. The remainder of the shoe stay's true to the original Privateer, and that's a good thing if you're seeking a well-rounded performer that eagerly accompanies you on singletrack adventures and weekend races. Plenty stiff without being unrelenting like a race-specific shoe, the co-molded nylon sole efficiently harnesses your power into forward locomotion. And for racers dismounting on mucky courses, the sole accepts toe spikes that prevent slipping on mud and wet ground. Along the shoe's upper, supple microfiber wraps your feet in cloud-nine comfort, with perforations throughout for ventilation. Two hook-and-loop straps secure tightly, with the mid-foot strap offset to relieve pressure points. The upper strap sports a micro-adjustable buckle that prevents heel lift for greater pedaling efficiency. As a fresh-wearing bonus, the shoe's interior benefits from Aegis antimicrobial, which keeps funky odors from taking residence.

For security over obstacles when you are forced to hike-a-bike, you no longer need to choose between ultra-stiff road-styled shoes or grippy skate shoes that have no support. To reduce abrasions, the toebox and sidewalls have been reinforced. Moving down, the shoe features a nylon shank that provides the stiffness necessary to put power to the pedals while still being comfortable to walk in. This comfort is further accentuated by an EVA footbed with a medium height arch support. At the bottom of the Terraduro, but on the top of the list of cool features, is the Vibram lugged outsole. Giro Trans E70 Shoes Giro Trans E70 Shoes
Collaboration is the spice of life, or something, so when Giro teamed up with Easton to make the Trans E70 Shoe, your footwear possibilities got a little more flavorful. Easton's renowned for its carbon-fiber expertise, which it brought to bear on the EC70 sole, a carbon-composite offering that's at once lightweight, powerful, and comfortable. It'll help you put plenty of power into the pedals without killing your feet, and is even decked out with a replaceable walking pad, so your shoes don't meet an unnecessarily early end. The upper's killer, too. It's made with Evofiber, a microfiber polyester that was designed by Japanese wizards Teijin to have a top-shelf durability-to-weight ratio, and has perforations that help your feet stay cool and dry on the road. The toe is reinforced, the design is ergonomic, and the hook-and-loop straps team up with the ratcheting instep closure to lock your foot down snugly and comfortably. To finish things off, Giro included its SuperNatural Fit Kit, which lets you customize the footbed to your exact specs, and treated the lining with Aegis, an antimicrobial agent that prevents funk from taking over your shoes.

The Lake Men's MX331 Shoes deliver efficient power transfer and sure grip with comfortable durability. The uppers are made from Pittards leather, and the sole is a Vibram, with deep, snow-clearing lugs. Lake MXZ303 Winter Cycling Boot - Wide - Men's Lake MXZ303 Winter Cycling Boot - Wide - Men's
While the Lake men's Wide MKZ303 Winter Boots are built with tech-heavy features that line them up more with weather-resistant mountaineering boots than your typical cycling shoes, one of the design choices that we like the most is surprisingly low-tech. The Wide version of Lake's Winter Last that the shoe is built around is an even more cavernous version of the already generous standard model, so the metatarsal area is just about the size of the sprawling winter landscapes of epic Russian novels. This added space allows for unrivaled layering potential that also recommends the boots for use while traversing those landscapes' frigid, unforgiving conditions by fat bike. Sometimes size matters. As the boots' impressive exteriors indicate, though, layering ability isn't the only feature protecting your feet from the elements. The upper is Pittards full-grain leather, which is not only incredibly durable and protective, but it will break in for a perfect fit as well. The outsole comes courtesy of Vibram, with a high-grip rubber compound for walking through Zhivago-grade snow drifts. Lake also employs Outlast heat reflective technology in the heel and tongue liner. The Outlast inserts retain heat from your feet, releasing it back into the boot when the temperature drops. In other words, they'll keep you warmer for longer. Granted, it shouldn't be an issue, thanks to the 3M Thinsulate insert in the toe box, which blocks wind and helps the insole's Thermosol composite insulation keep your digits warm. Getting snow in your shoes can quickly get the better of even the warmest boots, but with an over-ankle neoprene cuff, that won't be a concern. The boots' wind- and moisture-blocking foot and ankle flaps are held tightly by a BOA ratchet and a buckle, respectively, which enable easy fine tuning of your fit without the risk of coming loose mid-ride. As you'd expect, the MKZ303 boots are compatible with standard two-bolt mountain cleats. If you refuse to hang up the bike ...

Louis Garneau Granite Shoe - Men's Louis Garneau Granite Shoe - Men's
While all of us would prefer to spend all day on the trails, that's not an option most of the time. For the rare, glorious weekend days when you have nowhere else to be but on your mountain bike, the last thing you want sending you home early is cranky feet. Louis Garneau designed its Granite shoes for the long days -- whether you're hammering through rock gardens and over cruxes or keeping it relaxed along ribbons of singletrack, the Granite was created with comfort in mind. The Granite's seamless, thermos-bonded uppers go a long way towards keeping your feet comfortable. With the absence of stitching and seaming, the shoes have a more open fit, giving your feet more room to breathe on hot days and lessening the chance of pressure points. Garneau also adds ample ventilation in the form of mesh panels along the synthetic leather uppers, so you'll get plenty of moisture-wicking airflow as you ride, and the included Hot Stuff insoles are also heavily ventilated for as much airflow as possible. While the shoes' uppers feel open and forgiving, the Boa dial and hook-and-loop strap work with a heel retention system to ensure the Granite fits securely around your foot, reducing power lost to slippage during your pedal stroke. Underfoot, Garneau's Ergo Grip 2 outsole will dutifully transfer power from your legs to the pedals as you tackle long climbs, and the aggressive lugs won't leave you sliding around on technical spots when you need to hop off your bike. While you won't be able to get away with never clearing them of mud, Garneau did design the outsoles with mud clearing in mind, and they're compatible with removable studs for the days when you need extra traction.

Louis Garneau Graphite Cycling Shoe - Men's Louis Garneau Graphite Cycling Shoe - Men's
Whether you're finalizing dates for your full 'cross race calendar or prefer to spend your rides roosting berms and charging through white-knuckle descents, Louis Garneau's Graphite Men's Cycling Shoe is equipped to let you get the most out of the power you're driving through your feet while keeping you comfortable throughout an aggressive riding and racing schedule. The Graphite occupies the upper tier of Garneau's mountain offerings, sitting just below its top-of-the-line T-Flex 2LS. It features the same carbon sole and many of the same fit details, but trades wire dials for three lightweight hook-and-loop straps. Along the upper of the Graphite, Garneau forgoes all traditional seaming, choosing to thermobond the necessary seams for a more flexible, breathable upper that's less likely to chafe. Perforations throughout the upper promote air flow and ventilation, while the HRS-100 nylon heel piece maintains rigidity along the Achilles tendon to prevent heel slippage and lost power on climbs. Within the shoe, a Coolmax Hot Stuff insole comes with three separate arch pieces that allow you to customize the amount of support the shoes provide along the arch, depending on the shape of your foot. The somewhat-contradictory Carbon T-FLEX moniker Garneau gives to the outsole of the Graphite refers to the toe piece's ability to flex under pressure, while the rest of the sole remains completely rigid. Garneau does this with its high-end models to make navigating tough sections of trail on foot easier and to prevent excessive heel pressure, so you get responsive power transfer, adapted to the demands of the trails.

Louis Garneau Platinum Shoe - Men's Louis Garneau Platinum Shoe - Men's
If your first pair of cycling shoes have seen their share of miles and are starting to beg for retirement, Louis Garneau's all-new men's Platinum Shoes would be a good place to start your search for a replacement. With a slim silhouette and trickle-down technology from Garneau's pro-level models, the Platinum is a solid step up from an entry-level or mid-range model. Garneau uses synthetic leather to shape the Platinum's contoured uppers, and instead of large mesh panels for breathability, it adds subtle slits in the synthetic leather backed by mesh to encourage airflow, maintaining the shoe's clean, sleek design. As on many of its top-tier shoes, the uppers on the Platinum are seamless, lessening the likelihood of hot spots and pressure points during long rides. Another common complaint Garneau hopes to eliminate during your rides is heel slippage, so it adds a reinforced heel cup to the Platinum to make sure you don't lose valuable watts due to a wobbling foot. The top Boa dial paired with the lower hook-and-loop strap also contribute to the cause, allowing you to fine-tune the fit along the top of your foot for the right balance of security and comfort. Anticipating that you'll be riding in a variety of temperatures, Garneau includes its Ergo Air Cool Stuff and Hot Stuff insoles with the Platinum shoes -- both are ventilated and easily interchangeable. Underneath your foot, the Ergo Air II reinforced nylon outsole will work to dutifully transfer energy from your legs to the pedals throughout your pedal stroke.

Louis Garneau Signature 84 Shoe - Men's Louis Garneau Signature 84 Shoe - Men's
The laces, fluo color scheme, and high-gloss uppers on Louis Garneau's Signature 84 men's Shoes combine the contemporary aesthetics of modern cycling shoes with an apparently old-school closure system. We write "apparently" because the six points of contact provide twice the fit adjustment options as the traditional ratcheting or wire buckle with two hook-and-loop straps. If that level of customization is old school, then we suggest that the new school has some learning to do. The Signature 84's Ergo Air Carbon Composite outsole is equally advanced, consisting of a carbon platform that places a scant 4. 3mm of stiff, efficient material between your feet and the pedals, further reducing the already low number of watts lost to material deflection. The outsoles also feed air into the shoe via LG's multi-vent system, and interchangeable Cool Stuff and Hot Stuff insoles let you control the internal temperature based on external conditions. At the heel, the shoes are finished with an internal system to anchor your foot and an external hit of reflectivity.

Mavic Crossmax SL Ultimate Shoe - Men's Mavic Crossmax SL Ultimate Shoe - Men's
We've always associated Mavic with speed on the tarmac, but the Crossmax SL Ultimate Men's Shoe applies the yellow and black philosophy of low weight and high efficiency to the world of knobby tire footwear. The Crossmax SL Ultimate earns its Super Light designation by shaving a claimed 30g of weight per shoe compared to the closest competitor in Mavic's XC/cyclocross line. The weight loss is achieved through a combination of reducing the number of lugs and adding Mavic's Ergo Dial lacing system, and those changes bring the shoe down to a claimed weight that would be comfortable in the middle of the brand's road shoe line. Low weight doesn't mean low functionality or durability, though -- and that's to be expected. After all, Mavic earned its reputation for a circumspect approach to R&D and adopting new technologies because it refuses to compromise on either quality, so we're happy to trust our ambitions and well-being to any product bearing the brand's imprimatur. This blend of reliability, efficiency, and low-weight starts with the Energy Grip Terra Carbon SL Outsole. Thought it ranks near the top of Mavic's stiffness index, it isn't as stiff as Mavic's top-tier road shoe. And that's a good thing for 'cross run-ups and the general abuse of the trail. Other than the different sole and lugs, the Crossmax SL Ultimate features a lot of the same elements as the road-specific Cosmic Ultimate. These include Mavic's Energy Frame Carbon weave and Energy Lock Carbon heel counter, both of which maximize power transfer by eliminating fit slop when you're mashing through trail slop or peanut butter sand pits. A pair of Ergo Fit 3D+ Ortholite inserts help maintain comfort under foot while supporting your arches, and the Ergo Bonded upper and Ergo 3D tongue combine forces to wrap your feet in a non-abrasive, gently compressive fit.

Plus, they're available in a wide width too, so you can wear a shoe that's sized correctly for your foot shape. Northwave Extreme Triathlon Shoes - Men's Northwave Extreme Triathlon Shoes - Men's
Northwave approached the design of its Extreme Triathlon Shoes with a threefold ideology. First, the shoes must be comfortable. Secondly, its closure system needs to support a speedy T1. And lastly, the shoes need to perform under pressure. And although these requirements seem rudimentary, we ask, when was the last time that you wore a shoe that succeeded in all of the above' The Extreme Triathlon shoes adopted the same top-tier technology found in Northwave's road line, its Ultralight Carbon design. This features Northwave's finest carbon fiber in order to provide maximum rigidity. And when coupled with its feathery 60 grams of overall weight and extremely low stack height, your power transfer experiences a minimal loss of energy. Additionally, the outsole features Northwave's Airflow System, where there are three ventilation ports fore and aft on the sole. So, cool air will flow over the foot, keeping you cool and controlled on race day. Further along the lines of comfort, the Extreme Triathlon shoes features Northwave's new Biomap technology. Basically, this design extends to all aspects of the shoe, making its every feature an anatomically designed masterpiece. For the uppers, Biomap entails a seamless design that eliminates abrasion against the skin -- Northwave understands that the shoes will be raced without socks. The principle effect of which leads to a level of comfort that almost feels custom, and by maintaining a proper foot position, a direct transmission of power. Additionally, you'll find that the Extreme Triathlon shoes make use of Northwave's Extreme Air Footbed. This footbed has been specifically designed to be worn with the Ultralight Carbon outsole. Why' Because it has numerous vents that directly correspond to the aforementioned ventilation ports in the outsole. So, airflow doesn't simply stop at the footbed, it continues over the entire foot. Also, Northwave designed the footbed to be anallergic and antibacterial. This way, germs and stink...

Step up your game in the Pearl Izumi Men's Elite RD IV Shoes. Weighing in at a claimed 265g, these shoes are a few grams heavier than Pearl's top-end P. R. O. Leader III but come with a significantly reduced price tag. With a stiff carbon sole and comfortable upper, they strike an ideal balance for races and long training rides alike. Pearl fashions the Elite RD IV with a fully bonded upper featuring a seamless interior that conforms to your foot while reducing pressure points and hot spots. Shimano SH-CT71 Cycling Shoe - Men's Shimano SH-CT71 Cycling Shoe - Men's
Pulling on a pair of $400, 170g carbon-soled slippers for a commute or spin class is excessive, so Shimano designed the SH-CT71 Men's Cycling Shoes to offer a more practical alternative for errands and utilitarian use. The shoes rate a three out of 12 on Shimano's stiffness scale, so they're not exactly suited to winding up in the final meters of a crit, but they do facilitate a pedestrian life when your day on the bike is punctuating by social stops and errands that don't necessarily benefit from the Euro minimalism of top-end race shoes. The shoes are built with a synthetic upper with a speed lace enclosure. The combination secures your foot to the sole without the fuss of a typical racing shoe and blends into the crowd when you're off the bike. They're also built for abuse, so you can spare the added mileage on your race shoes without drawing sidelong looks because you have to skate across the bank's tile floor. The soles are compatible with the simplified interface of Shimano's Click'r pedal system, which combines the sneaker-like functionality of the SH-CT71 with an easier, more intuitive clipless design. At the center of the soles, a shank with engineered flex allows for easy walking but reinforces the forefoot for efficient pedaling. It's housed in an EVA midsole which is then covered by a grippy rubber outsole. The latter two layers expose a recessed cleat mount plate with a standard two-bolt attachment.

Shimano SH-M089 Cycling Shoe - Wide - Men's Shimano SH-M089 Cycling Shoe - Wide - Men's
Unless you're a Lycra-clad XC pro or touring the enduro circuit, chances are a day in the saddle spans all manner of terrain and conditions. Shimano's SH-M089 Wide Men's Cycling Shoe may seem out of place to the first two types of riders, but it's right at home as the hooves for the everyday/every trail mountain goat. Since not all goats are created equal, the Shimano offers these versatile hoof sheaths in a wide version, adding a bit more internal real estate for saddle-borne mega fauna. Except for the larger last, these M089 shoes are the same as their narrower stablemates. The synthetic leather and mesh upper is tough, flexible, and breathable, but it resists permanent deformation so you don't wake up one morning to find that your shoes don't fit anymore. By combining a ratcheting top strap with two smaller hook-and-loop straps, Shimano endows the SH-M089 with a highly adjustable fit, relieving the pinch that can be caused by strong push-offs or while mashing out of the saddle. The toe box has a little extra room than typical wide sizes, and the extra-cushioned midsole helps take the sting out of hard technical riding and rugged descents. Not content to settle for comfort alone, Shimano designed the SH-M089 with its TORBAL torsional midsole, which allows for a more natural side-to-side "flowing" motion, particularly during descents. This makes for smoother, more predictable cornering without sacrificing power during climbs. The sole, a composite of nylon and fiberglass, puts plenty of power down into the pedals. A wide range of cleat adjustability adds to the M089's versatility, as does the outsole's high-traction rubber, which makes for easier hike-a-bikes and parking-lot traversals.

Shimano SH-M200 Shoes Shimano SH-M200 Shoes
The Shimano Men's SH-M200 Mountain Bike Shoes combine the low weight and efficiency of XC shoes with the sturdy construction of AM shoes to protect your feet while you charge whatever trail you please. Focused on the needs of all-mountain riders, the M200s use a blend of tough synthetic leather and multi-layered, breathable polyester mesh for a durable and breathable outer skin. Speed-lacing closures cover up with hook-and-loop panels for extra shielding on the top of your feet, helping to keep the dirt out. Each shoe's collar has an ankle guard that protects from accidental crank arm contact and collisions from unseen obstacles. The Torbal carbon-reinforced midsoles allow for natural foot motion on the downhill and still provide enough sole stiffness (eight on Shimano's 1-10 scale) for XC pedaling efficiency. Relatively high-volume toe boxes provide forefoot comfort, and variable-density rubber outsoles are lugged for aggressive traction.

Your feet will feel appreciated in the saddle with the R321's heat-moldable uppers and insoles, and your legs will thank you on endurance days when the shoe's Dynalast fit earns you a claimed . 56% gain in efficiency on every turn of the pedals by orienting your foot in an ideal pedaling position. Slim and contoured, the R321 is Shimano's top-of-the-line, pro-level model, so it comes ready to work with Shimano's stiffest carbon composite outsole loyally transferring watts from your legs to the pedals with every turn of the crank arms. If you've ever pulled over and clipped out of your pedals to furiously loosen a buckle or strap on your shoe, you'll understand the value of the R321's ratcheting buckle closure. It allows you to micro-adjust tightness as well as change the angle of the strap itself--no more throbbing insteps and tingling toes. Around the top of your feet, Shimano wraps a Teijin synthetic leather upper that, together with Shimano's contoured Custom Fit heel cup, hugs your instep and holds your heels in-place when you're mashing while allowing for plenty of airflow during a ride and refusing to stretch after hours--or years--of use.

If you're tired of being the one guy on your group ride who's constantly adjusting dials and straps in the hopes of making your shoes feel bearable for a few miles, we have good news. While cycling shoes are rarely associated with being accommodating or wide, some, like the Shimano SH-RP9 Wide Cycling Shoes, are available in wide widths. Shimano SH-XC31 Cycling Shoe - Men's Shimano SH-XC31 Cycling Shoe - Men's
When looking for mountain biking shoes, comfort and efficiency are the two most important criteria to consider. With their solid uppers, fiberglass-reinforced soles, and inimitable Dynalast design, the Shimano SH-XC31 Mountain Bike Shoes meet them both. The XC31s' knack for smoothing the trail is appreciated, but the shoes' real star is their inclusion of Shimano's Dynalast technology at such a forgiving price point. Dynalast increases your pedal efficiency by a claimed . 56%. While that doesn't seem like much at first blush, any cyclist who's ridden for longer than two hours understands the importance of marginal gains like this. They can be the difference between finishing a group ride or race at the front or struggling to hang on. Dynalast involves lowering the toe-spring and heel section of the last while keeping the arch and metatarsal areas at the same height. This creates an optimal pedaling angle for leading into and exiting the up-swing of your pedal stroke, so the dead spot is shortened and your efficiency is increased with each turn of the crank. The polyamide outsole is reinforced with fiberglass threads to strike a balance between stiffness and the amount of vibration that it transfers to your feet. After all, energy transference is a two-way street, so while the XC31s aren't ideal for a one-hour hammerfest race, they will keep you comfortable in the saddle for half-day adventures. It's mated to a synthetic leather upper that beats its natural counterpart in every aspect where it counts. The synthetic is less-stretchy, more durable, and lighter, so the XC31s' ability to resist deformation and shrug off grasping twigs and the occasional chance encounter with a rock or trunk doesn't come at the expense of weight.

Sidi Drako Push Limited Edition Shoe - Men's Sidi Drako Push Limited Edition Shoe - Men's
We can't all ride with the flair of Absalon, himself a long-time Sidi fan, but the special fluo green colorway of the Drako Push Limited Edition Men's Shoes do mean we can light the trail up in another way. As with the standard model, this limited edition features Sidi's newly improved Tecno 3 Push fastener. Like its predecessor, the Tecno-3 Push system involves two ratcheting dials, Sidi's proprietary, non-stretch wire, and a customizable fit at the instep and forefoot. The Push in the shoes' title refers to the incorporation of a red button on the buckles' faces that releases the ratchet's lever for quick adjustment, saving you the onerous task of flipping the lever up yourself. At ride's end, pinching two release buttons on either side of the dial loosens the wire. As with all of Sidi's fastening hardware, you can easily fiddle with the Tecno 3 Push buckles in the saddle. The Drako's SRS Carbon Ground Sole and replaceable cleat wear plate return unchanged. This sole shaves 100 grams off its predecessor's weight without sacrificing comfort, efficiency, or durability. The sole comprises a medium-modulus carbon body supplemented with SRS tread blocks and a cleat wear plate, the latter two of which are replaceable. Using a medium-modulus carbon as the base provides a slight flex along the length of the foot with no compromise to the overall rigidity of the sole, a delicate but necessary balance for top-level off-road shoes. Sidi's Heel Security System (HSS) also makes an encore appearance, using an adjustable, rigid composite band that closes the shoe more securely over your heel to anchor it in place around your Achilles. No matter how much power you're pouring into the pedals, your heel will stay in place inside the shoe, even if you leave a bit of slack in the Tecno-3 lines in order to alleviate pressure across your metatarsals. The shoes are finished with Sidi's synthetic Lorica uppers inset with ballistic mesh panels and capped with a rubberized toe shield.

Built around a Gore-Tex bootie, their Norica and Nylon uppers keep cold air out while neoprene cuffs seal out moisture. The Hydro GTX Cold-Weather shoes use light insulation to keep you warm, and because Gore-Tex has come a long way since the '70s, these shoes won't suffocate your feet and drown them in sweat. Sidi built the Hydro GTX shoes to fit slightly larger than its other shoes so that you can wear thicker socks on your cold-weather rides. Hook-and-loop closures make it easy to adjust your fit, and replaceable heel pads deliver traction at icy stops.

Sidi Insider Shoes - Men's Sidi Insider Shoes - Men's
Sidi's known for making top-quality cycling shoes, but the Insider Men's Shoes take things in a more casual direction -- after all, you spend a good bit of your life off the bike. Drawing inspiration from athletic shoes of the '60s, Sidi crafts the insider from vintage suede to give it a worn look from the moment it comes out of the box. The classic rubber sole provides flexible grip worthy of sandlot baseball and baseball-card-in-the-spokes neighborhood cruising, and the removable insole keeps your feet feeling sweet whether you're hitting the bar or the basepaths. As a bonus, Sidi reinforces the toe and ankle for some extra durability and protection, and provides dual-color laces for some added pop.

Sidi SRS Dragon Pred-Carbon Soles Sidi SRS Dragon Pred-Carbon Soles
Surfing rock gardens sans bike is exhilarating. It's also pretty rough on shoe soles. If you're lucky enough to ride Sidi Dragons, you can replace the tread parts with a few clicks of the mouse and a Phillips screwdriver. Each shoe has four replaceable sections, and the Sidi Dragon SRS Sole Replacement System comes with these eight tread parts (four per shoe) and enough screws to replace everything. You can swap out everything at once, or do it as necessary. Please note: these are not compatible with the Dragon II Carbon sole.

Sidi Tarus Shoes Sidi Tarus Shoes
While clothes make the man, shoes make the cyclist. And if you're riding in flimsy, uncomfortable shoes, scoot a little closer to the screen and read what we have to say. It's time for a change. A proper shoe increases your delivery of power and will keep you comfortable over a long day in the saddle. Also, contrary to popular belief, you don't need to spend a month's rent to get into a pair of beautiful Italian shoes. Basically, all that you need to step your shoe game up are the Sidi Tarus Shoes. Don't forget that your shoes serve a specific purpose when you're on the bike -- the transmission of power from your legs to the drivetrain. And in this event, rigidity is key. That's why Sidi uses a multi-step system to ensure that your power output receives a minimal amount of dissipation through the interaction of the shoe and the pedal. So, to start, the sole of the Tarus shoes were made to be both stiff and durable. Using the newest iteration of the Millennium series, the Millennium 3 sole differs from its predecessors in its carbon infused construction. Whereas prior generations relied on a reinforced nylon matrix, the Millennium 3 infuses this matrix with carbon fiber. This process dramatically improves the overall stiffness of the shoe, while adding an enhanced level of durability. In fact, Sidi estimates that the new material is less susceptible to temperature extremes and wear, and accordingly, the soles are predicted to retain their rigidity levels over multiple seasons of use. Sidi also included a replaceable heel pad for the inevitable walks from the street to the espresso counter (additional heel pads sold separate). For a secure fit, Sidi used a three strap, hook-and-loop closure system. This allows full adjustability that will stand the test of time. Sidi also added its signature heel cup to keep the foot in the perfect position on hard up strokes and while climbing out of the saddle. For comfort, the body of the shoe has been made from a synthetic le...

Sidi Wire Push Team Katusha Limited Edition Shoe - Men's Sidi Wire Push Team Katusha Limited Edition Shoe - Men's
Team Katusha's partnership with Sidi has had the riders rocking some custom-colored kicks that are now available to the every-cyclist as the Sidi Wire Push Team Katusha Limited Edition Men's Shoes. Channel the power of the red train in sprint leadouts and up sweeping mountain passes as you pedal with efficient power transfer and exceptional comfort. The Wire Push cuts a clean, low-profile figure and boasts race-proven design for any road race or training ride. The Wire Push Shoes ride securely with Sidi's Tecno 3 Push fastener. Like its predecessor, the Tecno-3 Push system involves two ratcheting dials, Sidi's proprietary, non-stretch wire, and a customizable fit at the instep and forefoot. The Push in the shoes' title refers to the incorporation of a tempting little red button on the buckles' faces that, when temptation overcomes restraint, releases the ratchet's lever for quick adjustment, saving you the onerous task of flipping the lever up yourself. At ride's end, pinching two release buttons on either side of the dial loosens the wire. As with all of Sidi's fastening hardware, you can easily fiddle with the Tecno 3 Push buckles in the saddle. The Wire also sees a return of Sidi's superlative vented carbon fiber sole. It shares the same construction method that Sidi developed with its Carbon Lite sole, yet relegates the "Lite" model to the heavy bin by losing an additional 38g. The weight loss may be due to the negative space of the vents, which shuttle cooling air into interior channels. The vents can be opened or closed depending on the temperature and your preference--even in the middle of a ride. Despite the weight savings and ventilation, the Wire Push soles have the same stiffness and confident power transfer you've grown to expect from Sidi, and they've also got a bit of engineered flex for your toes while you're awkwardly clop-clopping around on a coffee shop's stained concrete floor during a mid-ride espresso break. Also returning from previous to...
