3T Aeronova LTD Stealth Handlebar 3T Aeronova LTD Stealth Handlebar
3T's Aeronova LTD Stealth Handlebar flies under the radar in all the important categories: drag, weight, and looks. While the first two are important in a save-every-watt kind of way, we aren't ashamed to admit that we're equally as excited about the LTD Stealth's muted aesthetics. The silver accents on the normal Aeronova LTD may not be as flashy as the red Team issue kit ridden by the BMC Racing Team, but the Stealth model takes the murdered-out matte look to extreme levels. Looks aside for now, the Aeronova LTD Stealth's low weight and aerodynamic considerations are also pretty damn extreme. The aerodynamic, NACA airfoil shape of the bar's tops are the same as those on the Team version ridden by BMC, but the LTD's higher modulus, unidirectional carbon fiber means it comes in even lighter, weighing a full 15 claimed grams less than the kit used by the likes of Gilbert and van Garderen. If you're looking to save even more grams by leaving the tops un-taped, channels for internal cable routing keep your cockpit tidy. The drops describe the "ergo" shape of 3T's Compact design. Compared to the drops of 3T's more traditional Round curve, the Compact shape features a tighter reach and drop. This shape allows for the hoods to be positioned low and fast in order to accommodate the tendency for today's cyclists to spend most of their time there rather than in the drops. The Compact bars mean aggressive hoods don't come at the cost of the drops being out of reach, so you can still comfortably tuck on descents or long solo moves.

3T Aeronova Team Carbon Handlebar 3T Aeronova Team Carbon Handlebar
Aluminum is wonderful. It's given us cans, airplanes, foil, and so much more, but the fact is that you wouldn't want to enter into the race of your life with handlebars made from soda cans. Better to have something made from carbon like the 3T Aeronova Team Carbon Handlebar. No need to waste breath telling you that the Aeronova is ultralight, so let's focus on shape. Carbon can be sculpted more easily than aluminum, which allows the engineers at 3T to build the Aeronova with a full aerofoil teardrop cross section that cuts through the wind with less resistance, a marginal gain that seriously adds up over long distances. All the aerodynamics in the world are no good if your bars don't feel right when you use them, though. 3T builds the Aeronova with an accessible 127mm drop, so you don't need to be a all limbs to get comfortable and efficient, and a 104mm reach that lets you get out of the saddle while climbing or get low and aero when you're practicing your solo skills. Six degrees of flare help take stress off your wrists during long days off the front by yourself, and internal cable routing lets you cut down on weight by skipping bar tape on the flats.

Brooks England C15 Cambium Brooks England C15 Cambium
The Brooks C15 Cambium saddle shares the same timeless design of natural rubber and woven material that sets Brooks apart from the crowd of jet black saddles with no personality. Compared to the original Brooks C17, the C15 saddle is 10 grams lighter and 22 millimeters narrower. This makes it more suited to the fast, tight pedaling styles of cyclists who skew toward the competitive side of the spectrum. Like other Cambiums, the C15 shares the same three-layer construction that begins with a section of natural rubber. After being vulcanized, the rubber's upper face is covered with organic cotton and a firm textile layer for a durable and comfortable face. The saddle body flexes at the wings and between the rails' contact points to support your sit bones and cushion your perineum.

Campagnolo Alloy TT Brake Levers Campagnolo Alloy TT Brake Levers
Campagnolo's arsenal of time trial equipment includes these Alloy TT Brake Levers. They're designed to be installed in the ends of any modern time trial or bullhorn base bar. They offer a sleek aerodynamic profile along with a functional detail that Campagnolo brake users will appreciate. Like their Ergopower levers, they have a tension release on the lever to open the caliper and facilitate quick and easy wheel changes. Another detail that we really like is that the levers have torsion springs that keep them snug and rattle-free rather than relying on the tension in the cable system to do the job (in our experience, it never does). This way, all you'll hear as you enter your personal world of pain is the wind whistling over your helmet and the whoosh whoosh of your disc wheel on the pavement. The Campagnolo Alloy TT Brake Levers are right and left specific. They're marked on the brake tension release button. They come with Campagnolo stainless steel inner wires, housing, and ferrules.

Campagnolo Chorus 11 EPS Rear Derailleur Campagnolo Chorus 11 EPS Rear Derailleur
Campagnolo's electronic EPS drivetrains have been highly coveted since their introduction to the market only a few years ago, and thankfully, the trickling down of technology has finally made it more affordable. The Chorus 11 groupset is the latest to be electrified. The Campagnolo Chorus 11 EPS Rear Derailleur you see here is slightly heavier than its Record 11 or Super Record 11 brothers due to the use of alloy structural elements in place of carbon fiber and titanium, but the motors employed are identical, and so thus is shifting performance.

Campagnolo Chorus 11 Ergopower Shifters Campagnolo Chorus 11 Ergopower Shifters
Despite living in the shadow of their legendary Record and Super Record counterparts, the Campagnolo Chorus 11 Ergopower Shifters have developed their own devoted following. This may be because they incorporate the same shifting mechanism without the more exotic materials. It may be because a pro of Ms. Compton's caliber actually chose to use Chorus shifters on the way to four national titles and while dominating in Europe because her component choices weren't limited by sponsorship. Whatever the reason, Chorus brings all that Campagnolo has to offer into a slightly heavier, more affordable range. For 2015, the Chorus Shifters enjoy the same redesigned cable pull ratio as Super Record and Record. It's been updated for faster, more precise shifting, which means the 2015 Chorus Shifters are incompatible with groups from 2014 and earlier. You can still effect a shift of up to three cogs on the downshift and five cogs on the upshift with one lever throw, though, a feature that remains a Campy exclusive. The big winner with the new shifting ratio comes up front. Each throw of the front shifter has three clicks. Shifting to the large ring requires all three clicks (via one swipe); shifting to the small ring requires two clicks with a third reserved for trim adjustment to avoid cross gearing. This means you get to ride all 22 gear combinations with no chain rubbing. The new Vari-Cushion silicone rubber hoods incorporate varying densities of hypoallergenic silicone and are textured with a waffle pattern on the inside for additional cushion. The external pattern is a return to the pebbly texture of Campy's old ten-speed models, but with a more structured, modern design than the old faux-leather look. The tiny bumps provide traction while their surrounding grooves channel away water for an easy grip. The levers also contribute to a confident ride courtesy of their overall shape, which feels as though it was molded inside a pair of hands. Unlike the pricier Super Record...

Campagnolo Chorus 11 Front Derailleur Campagnolo Chorus 11 Front Derailleur
The Campagnolo Chorus 11 Front Derailleur may be the biggest beneficiary of the group's redesign for 2015. The new cable pull ratio in the Chorus shifters means that it enjoys an extra position of trim while in the small ring, so you can actually use all 22 gear combinations in your drivetrain with no chain rubbing. That fact alone is enough to inspire us to break out in joyful song, but the new derailleur has a few other improvements that make the deal even sweeter. For 2015, the derailleur gets a longer cage for greater leverage, so less force is required to effect an upshift. The cage is also narrower, so you can exert more precise control over shifts. The metal cage is built to stress silent shifting without sacrificing Campagnolo's legendary snappiness. The derailleur also includes an optional cable deviator insert. With some internally routed frames, the front shifting cable comes out so close to the derailleur that it can rub against it. The deviator insert prevents this. The Campagnolo Chorus 11 Front Derailleur is only compatible with 2015 Campagnolo Super Record, Record, and Chorus drivetrains. Compatibility can be determined by matching the letter on the bike side of the inside arm with the corresponding markings on your other drivetrain components.

Campagnolo Chorus 11 Rear Derailleur Campagnolo Chorus 11 Rear Derailleur
When it comes to effectively conducting the chorus of your cassette, few options can rival Campagnolo's Chorus 11 Rear Derailleur. The Chorus model does make some concessions to its more expensive Record and Super Record counterparts. Namely, it makes 13 and 17 concessions, respectively, which are the number of grams of extra weight it carries in comparison. As far as function goes, the Chorus has the same internals and receives the same updated operation, but at a price point that appeals to the self-sponsored cyclist. The brains of the derailleur are the cross section springs, which have rectangular cross sections for an increased return load. In conjunction with the new Chorus shifters' cable pull ratio, this translates to faster, more precise shifting -- in both directions. The parallelogram's motion as you shift across the cassette has also been revamped for 2015. It corresponds to the size of each cog, so the top pulley stays the same distance away from the cassette whether you're using the crit-spec'd 11-23 or the all-terrain 11-29 cassette. This keeps the chain seated securely on the cassette at an angle of engagement that transfers maximum power into propelling the bike forward. It also reduces wear on your chain and cassette. The parallelogram and cage are made with carbon, while the upper and lower bodies are made from a technopolymer that's lighter than metal but can still stand up to any abuse from the elements or the occasional user error (read: crash). The Chorus model's pulleys don't get the same lightweight polymer of the Record and Super Record derailleurs, and its parallelogram doesn't have the weight-reducing cutouts. It also uses steel bearings and small parts instead of the ceramic bearings and titanium of its more expensive counterparts. The Campagnolo Chorus 11 Rear Derailleur is only compatible with 2015 Campagnolo Super Record, Record, and Chorus drivetrain components. Compatibility can be confirmed by matching the letter on the body'...

Campagnolo EPS V2 Power Unit Campagnolo EPS V2 Power Unit
The engineering team at Campagnolo knew their original electronic drivetrain power unit was exceptionally efficient, but they felt that the design could be improved in terms of both aerodynamics and versatility. Their research resulted in the new EPS V2 Power Unit, which features a slimmed down, cylindrical design that provides several advantages over the first generation model. The biggest news is that the new power unit enables internal mounting -- in the seat tube, down tube, or top tube -- providing the obvious aerodynamic benefits but also even greater protection from the elements and impact. Those who choose to mount the unit externally will encounter less wind resistance due to the new profile. Other than the new shape and lower weight (a claimed 130g compared to the original's 170g), the Power Unit is relatively unchanged. Digital Tech Intelligence (DTI) remains the brains of the entire Electronic Power Shift (EPS) system, and performs the most important operations in blisteringly fast time. For movement operations, DTI is in constant communication with the EPS V2 Interface Unit, receiving digital signals from the EPS Shift Levers, processing them through unique algorithms, and translating that information into the movements for the front and rear derailleurs. Concurrently, DTI is checking and maintaining onboard diagnostics, managing and checking the charge status of the battery pack, and controlling all derailleur automatic correction functions. DTI is the fail-safe against all system anomalies in EPS, signaling warnings through an acoustical buzzer on the undercarriage of the Power Unit and transmitting a signal to the EPS Interface, which communicates the information to you through a detailed RGB-variant color coding system. It also relays a message upon resolution of any system anomaly. As mentioned, the EPS Power Unit also houses the Battery Pack that powers the Digital Tech Intelligence. The 3-cell (12-volt) lithium ion Battery Pack holds a char...

Campagnolo EPS V3 Interface Campagnolo EPS V3 Interface
Campy's EPS drivetrain delivers the infallible consistency of electronic shifting without straying from the brand's defining style and aesthetics. As capable as the drivetrain is, it would be nothing without a brain to control it. As such, the Campagnolo EPS V3 Interface plays its role of loyal guardian to the system with finesse and skill. Overseeing the functionality of the system throughout your ride, the V3 comes equipped to zero out the derailleurs for resetting and make on-the-go diagnoses if the system begins to malfunction. It also works with Campy's MyCampy app to give you full control over shifting and ride quality. One of the biggest advantages to come out of electronic drivetrains as a whole has been the ability for riders to minutely tune the feel and responsiveness of shifts to their preferences. Unsurprisingly, Campy took its own approach in giving riders control of the drivetrain, developing MyCampy to allow you to adjust derailleur settings, change from single to double shifts, alter the speed of your shifts, and then communicate those changes to the V3 to set your drivetrain in seconds. If you depend on a dazzling head unit to deliver ride metrics while you train, the EPS V3 Interface will integrate seamlessly with it, communicating via ANT+ and Bluetooth with any computers that use the technology. You can also choose to run the MyCampy app on your smartphone while you're training, as it will keep track of your equipment and ride details in addition to making drivetrain adjustments. In terms of design, the V3 represents an upgrade from its predecessor, the V2, using a sleeker, more streamlined shape and conveniently including a built-in charging port, which the V2 did not.

Campagnolo EPS V3 Power Unit Campagnolo EPS V3 Power Unit
Though it's a bastion of tradition, Campagnolo has always proven itself by consistently accommodating the ever-evolving world of cycling. The latest proof of this thesis is the EPS V3 Power Unit, which is the venerable Italian brand's response to the rising popularity of extra narrow, super aerodynamic tube shapes. Designed to pair specifically with Campy's Record EPS and Super Record EPS groupsets (sorry, Chorus fans), this internally mounted power unit boasts an even narrower tube than its predecessor to ensure compatibility with more tube shapes. On-board diagnostics and an IP 67 waterproof rating confirm that the V3 is a smart, durable piece that will keep close tabs on your drivetrain's functionality and resist the elements. While its body is formidable, the V3's real draw is its brain, which houses Campy's DTI technology to drive accurate shifts during everything from Nibali's Giro-winning, high-mountain heroics to your own weekend suffer sessions.

Campagnolo Record 11 4-Arm Crankset Campagnolo Record 11 4-Arm Crankset
If you're looking to win Grand Tours, you might want Campagnolo's Super Record Crankset, but if you're not making a career out of cycling, the Record 11 4-Arm Crankset delivers everything you'll ever need--and then some. The crankset is built around the legendary USB (Ultra Smooth Bearings) technology for near-frictionless rotation, which provides huge gains over the Chorus, but the spider's arms have decreased from five to four, which saves weight and makes the Record stiffer than ever before. Metal has been replaced with carbon in key zones, and the crank arms are hollowed out wherever possible to keep things light and fast. Aerodynamics only really matter if they're incorporated across every part of your setup, which is why Campy designed the Record 11 to slice smoothly through the air, using the same philosophy it applied to the Shamal wheelset, which itself revolutionized wheel aerodynamics in the '90s. Parts of the Record 11, like the steel Ultra-Torque axle, haven't changed (although it's not quite as light as the titanium of the Super Record), so you'll still enjoy the feel and performance that made you fall in love with Campy in the first place.

Campagnolo Record 11 Front Derailleur Campagnolo Record 11 Front Derailleur
The Campagnolo Record 11 Front Derailleur is virtually the same as its Super Record counterpart, with the one difference being the substitution of alloy hardware for titanium. This results in a claimed weight gain of seven grams for Record, but it still enjoys the new cable pull ratio in the Record shifters that grant an extra position of trim while in the small ring. This extra trim allows you limitless access to all 22 gear combinations in your drivetrain with no chain rubbing, which proves that even the benchmark of front derailleurs can benefit from the occasional improvement. For 2015, the derailleur gets a longer cage for greater leverage, so less force is required to effect an upshift. The cage is also narrower, so you can exert more precise control over shifts. Campagnolo Record 11 Rear Derailleur Campagnolo Record 11 Rear Derailleur
Seeing that Campagnolo introduced their Ergopower H11 Disc Brakes after years of extensive research and design, it makes perfect sense that the storied Italian company would tailor their rear derailleurs for the unique demands of using disc brakes. Made for just this purpose, the Campagnolo Record 11 Rear Derailleur accommodates the longer throws required while you're running disc-equipped wheels with wider hub spacing. Good news for the Campy faithful, this disc-friendly version of the Record 11 Rear Derailleur retains the swift-shifting prowess and lightweight, yet durable construction of the previous Record 11 Rear Derailleur. You'll find it's lighter than the Chorus model, achieved through a Technopolymer body that shaves precious grams without sacrificing strength. The Record 11's carbon fiber parallelogram and cage plate maintain shifting rigidity and lessen overall weight, with Campy's Ultra-Shift geometry offering a reduction in friction for buttery shifts across the gears. Best of all, you'll find it comes in at a more reasonable price than the Super Record while maintaining a similar level of shifting feel, as it forgoes a few titanium bits to keep overall cost down, albeit at the expense of a few grams.

Campagnolo Super Record 11 4-Arm Crankset Campagnolo Super Record 11 4-Arm Crankset
Life is short, and you only get one shot at it, so you shouldn't waste time riding outdated, sticky, or heavy cranksets. Enter the Campagnolo Super Record 11 4-Arm Crankset, a redesigned legend that's coming back even lighter, stronger, and sleeker than past iterations. A few major changes set the new Super Record apart from its predecessor. Most obviously, the number of arms was reduced from five to four, which Campagnolo claims reduces weight while increasing torsional stiffness up to 12%. Certain areas of the arms have also seen metal swapped out in favor of carbon, and Campy also hollowed out the new arms as much as possible to reduce weight. The Super Record isn't totally redesigned, though--why would it be' The light, powerful, and super-simple Ultra Torque spindle is just as good as ever, and the titanium spindle and bolt save 40g over the steel used in the regular Record. Even better, Campagnolo's legendary CULT ceramic bearings and Cronitect races are so smooth that Campy claims a 3. 5 watt gain per pedal stroke.

Campagnolo Super Record 11 EPS Front Derailleur Campagnolo Super Record 11 EPS Front Derailleur
Maybe you love the classic feel and sound of Campagnolo mechanical shifting and think that newfangled electronic groupsets are gimmicky and destined for failure. What would you say, then, to Campagnolo's Super Record 11 EPS Front Derailleur' You should say "Hmm, tell me more," because the Super Record 11's electronic actuator--the bit that actually moves the chain--was developed with a Swiss company that actually builds components for missions to Mars, so it's literally space-worthy. Campy's Magnetic Hall Sensor Resolver sounds like a ray gun, but it actually automatically centers the derailleur on the chain for precise shifting, and communicates with the rear derailleur to auto-trim the chain for silent and rub-free riding. You can also manually and minutely tweak your drivetrain while you're in the saddle, with seven . 01 millimeter adjustments available via controls on the shifter body. As Campy's top-of-the-line derailleur, the Super Record 11 EPS' has all the top-shelf bits and pieces: carbon chain guide plates, alloy motor mounts, a vibration-killing technopolymer-carbon body, and an underwater rating suitable for scuba gear. Not to put too fine a point on it, but if you can find a smoother, snappier, more precise shifting mechanism, you're probably hallucinating.

Campagnolo Super Record 11 EPS Shifters Campagnolo Super Record 11 EPS Shifters
For more than 75 years, Campagnolo has been at the forefront of cycling innovation. From the invention of the quick-release hub to the Gran Sport derailleur, Campagnolo has always tackled difficult challenges with a sense of bravado that's won them a fiercely loyal fan base. So, it's not surprising that Campagnolo spent twenty years and went through six research models to develop the ultimate in electronic shifter design, the Super Record 11 EPS Ergopower Shifters. To make sure they got it right, Campagnolo subjected this electronic breakthrough to over a season under the legs of the MoviStar Team. While long out of reach for non-professionals, Campagnolo' s electronic prototypes are in production, and preferential accessibility is a thing of the past. EPS shift levers are coming to take the cycling world by storm. Campagnolo rethought the mold, quite literally, of lever design when it developed the EPS, or Electronic Power Shift, to surpass its mechanical shifters. While competitors integrated an adjustable lever position into their existing shifters' designs, Campagnolo engineers conducted studies on the ergonomic functionality of shifters to develop the e-Ergonomy Evolution, a re-design of the esteemed Ergopower Levers. Along with new dedicated hoods, the new levers follow the contours of the hand to create more contact and control, direct powerful braking, and full lever usage from any forward position on the bars, and for any hand size. The position of Lever Three, for downshifting, has also changed from the mechanical Super Record; it's now swept down into a smooth, longer contour that requires less compression, and nearly eliminates the long reach of its predecessor. The new Lever 3 makes the downshift more accessible from deep in the drops and more comfortable from the hoods. As expected, Campagnolo engineers have gone above and beyond to accommodate Campy purists wary of electronic shifting by retaining their 'one lever, one shift' motto, and by develop...

Campagnolo Super Record 11 Ergopower Shifters Campagnolo Super Record 11 Ergopower Shifters
How do you improve on a legend' The simple answer is to make it work better, and that's exactly what Campagnolo did with its Super Record Road Bike Brake Levers with Integrated Shifters. As with all the Ultra-Shift levers, the Super Records allow you to upshift up to 3 gears or downshift 5 gears with a single motion. The improvement lies in the amount of cable that's pulled. The new shifters provide faster, more precise shifting. Unfortunately, this also means that the new shifters are not compatible with the 2014 drivetrain. The new Vari-Cushion silicone rubber hoods employ varying densities of hypoallergenic silicone and an internal waffle pattern for added padding. The shape is upgraded, as well, with a more ergonomic feel. The new levers are made with titanium internals. They also incorporate an improved pivot point that gives you as much braking power on the hood as you have in the drops.

Harnessing this attention to detail for the disc-equipped crowd of professional cyclists, the Super Record 11 Rear Derailleur accommodates the slightly longer throws of your rear derailleur paired with a disc-specific wheelset. This disc-friendly redesign comes by no accident, accompanying the launch of Campagnolo's Ergopower H11 Disc Brakes. Besides its disc-friendly redesign, this Super Record 11 Rear Derailleur retains the same design as the previous Super Record, meaning you'll reap the benefits of a carbon fiber parallelogram and cage, alongside titanium hardware for maximum weight savings without sacrificing one bit of strength. The polymer body is highly resistant to damage in the event of a crash while remaining impressively lightweight. Campagnolo Ultra Link Chain Pin - 11-Speed Campagnolo Ultra Link Chain Pin - 11-Speed
If you're running a Campagnolo 11-Speed chain, you'll likely never remove it from your bike, that is, unless you're a fastidious bike cleaner or it's at the end point of its service life. Either way, 11-Speed Campagnolo chain removal is rote and any old chain tool can be used to perform this mundane task. On the other hand, installation of the 11-Speed chain is where you must take care to follow Campagnolo's specific instructions to ensure proper function and durability. This 11-Speed Ultra Link Chain Pin is required as is a chain tool to press the rivet and a peening tool to deform the leading end of the rivet once the pilot has been snapped off. Ergon SRX3 Saddle Ergon SRX3 Saddle
Ergon sets its SRX3 line of saddles apart from traditional road saddle designs with a pronounced V-shape, giving road cyclists and cyclocross racers more opportunity to shift on the saddle as they move through different pedaling postures. The SRX3 Saddle occupies the entry-level space in that line, featuring the same shape as its pricier siblings paired with a mix of more affordable materials. If you're looking to branch into a different saddle shape for your road bike or are trying to outfit a 'cross bike with a saddle designed to accommodate the variety of positions you'll occupy throughout a race, the SRX3 is a practical investment. The SRX3 is constructed with a blend of common materials that include CroMo steel rails and a fiberglass composite shell, but the AirCell padding atop the saddle is less common. Proprietary to Ergon, AirCell features layers of tiny air pockets that absorb harsh road vibrations and provide support whether you're mashing on grass or spinning along your favorite road loop. Additional support comes in the form of the slight upturn at the rear of the SRX3, included to make it easier for riders to push back into the saddle and send an added burst of power to the pedals while climbing or grinding through a sandpit. The saddle anticipates quick dismounts at barriers and ahead of run-ups, and its overall flat topography was designed to make the process as smooth as possible.

Fabric Alm Ultimate Saddle Fabric Alm Ultimate Saddle
One look at the Fabric ALM Ultimate Saddle and you'll know it's unlike any saddle you've ever tried. ALM stands for Additive Layer Manufacturing -- the prototype was developed using 3D printing. This technique allowed Fabric to create a saddle that would have previously been impossible to manufacture. The rail and base of the ALM saddle are carbon fiber. This provides a lightweight chassis. The organic shape of the saddle lends much more than aesthetics. Because of their unique shape and placement, the rails work like leaf springs to suspend the rider and absorb vibration and road shock. Fabric uses a high-density polyurethane foam for padding and vibration-absorption. A waterproof microfiber shell is vacuum-bonded in place to finish the ALM. Please note: rider weight is limited to 100kg (220lbs).

Fabric Scoop Pro Saddle Fabric Scoop Pro Saddle
The Fabric Scoop Pro saddle is simple. It's lightweight and it's tough. The Scoop comes in four varieties: Elite, Race, Pro, and Ultimate. The Scoop Pro starts with carbon fiber rails and a nylon base. Fabric says its Scoop Saddle is "designed for everyone," and that's exactly what it is. Like many of today's bicycle saddles, the Scoop is designed to work with road, mountain, or cyclocross bikes. Unlike many of today's saddles, however, the Scoop gives you options for fit, feel, and style. You can choose between two different base materials for the Scoop saddle: nylon or carbon fiber. The Scoop Pro comes with a flexible nylon base. This base is both lightweight and comfortable. The Scoop also offers three different rail material options. The Pro model comes with Fabric's 9mm oval carbon fiber rails, which are both the lightest and stiffest in the line. The Scoop saddle comes in three different shapes, which vary in curvature from tip to tail. The three shapes are Flat, Shallow, and Radius. Which saddle you choose depends on which saddle is most comfortable for your body type. All of Fabric's Scoop saddles feature dense polyurethane foam for cushioning and a waterproof microfiber shell fabric, which is available in either white or black.

Fabric Scoop Race Saddle Fabric Scoop Race Saddle
Replacing your stock saddle certainly can mean investing a significant amount of money, but it doesn't have to. We commend brands like UK-based Fabric for crafting saddles out of affordable materials that are accessible to a range of self-sponsored cyclists. The brand's Scoop line fits this description aptly, and Fabric fittingly makes it in three different shapes to accommodate different riding styles. If you're racing, the Scoop Flat has the aggressive profile you're looking for to pair with your slammed frame geometry. If being in an "aero" position no longer holds much appeal for you, the Scoop Shallow encourages a more natural body position in the saddle as you duck into your drops and onto your hoods over the course of a ride. And if you're commuting and favor comfort and practicality over speed, the Scoop Radius' upright orientation is ideal. While each saddle's shaping varies significantly, Fabric keeps construction the same throughout, using a nylon base engineered to flex so that you don't feel every pebble or piece of road grit you ride over. The forgiving nylon sits atop hollow titanium-alloy rails, which manage to be both durable and light without nudging the saddle's price to extreme heights. Though Fabric favors minimal designs for the Flat and the Shallow models, both come with the same foam cushioning as their more forgiving sibling, the Radius. The padding adds some long-ride comfort and helps to absorb road noise, but Fabric demonstrates restraint when using it to make sure you won't feel as though you're perched atop a pillow. Finally, a loyal waterproof microfiber cover protects the internals from the often cruel elements, equipping the Scoop to become a fixture on your frame for the rides, races, and commutes to come.

FSA Gossamer Wing Compact FSA Gossamer Wing Compact
FSA's Gossamer Wing Compact handlebar may be the most versatile offering in the manufacturer's extensive catalog of drop bars, combining lightweight with efficiency and a relatively low price point. It's made of double-butted 6066 alloy that's been shot-peened, which is a process that shows up most often in the aerospace industry. Shot-peening involves firing ceramic pellets at the metal in order to increase corrosion and fatigue resistance by up to 1,000 times. This means that it's strong enough to safeguard your life on a transatlantic flight or your aspirations on a course as punishing as the stones of Roubaix, where the alloy Gossamer line has enjoyed the top step of the podium. The moderate 125 millimeter drop and 80 millimeter reach put these handlebars in the realm of short and shallow. The drops are also angled by four degrees in order to mimic the natural position of your wrists when you're in them. It's a subtle difference from parallel drops, but one that becomes apparent the longer that your ride goes on. The clamping point balloons up to 31. 8 millimeters to maximize stiffness at the point of power transfer while keeping the overall weight down.

The FSA K-Wing Compact Handlebar is designed to let your wrists adopt a more natural position on the bar, so you stay comfortable while you're racking up the miles. The top of the K-Wing features a flattened Aero-Ergo profile that helps relieve pressure on your wrists by spreading your weight evenly across your hands. In addition to this, the tops are slightly angled down to imitate the natural position your wrists take when you grab the tops of the handlebar. The K-Wing offers a 125mm drop and 80mm reach. FSA has angled the drops by two degrees, letting your wrists take a more natural position than they would adopt in parallel drops. The K-Wing features a carbon fiber/Kevlar construction, offering you a good-looking and durable handlebar with a stable feel. FSA uses a high-friction coating at the stem clamp area to provide you with plenty of grip, and with slightly larger cable channels, cable routing on the K-Wing becomes a hassle-free job. The FSA K-Wing Compact Handlebar is only compatible with 31. 8mm-clamp-diameter stems.

HED Jet 4 Plus Black Disc Brake Wheelset - Clincher HED Jet 4 Plus Black Disc Brake Wheelset - Clincher
With its combination of HED's stable, bullet-shaped rim cross section and the sweet-spot aerodynamics of a 46mm depth, HED's Jet 4 Plus Black Carbon Disc Brake Wheelset may be the ideal racing wheels for any course. The durability of the aluminum spine/carbon fiber fairing construction and the convenience of clinchers expand the Jet 4's capabilities to include everyday use as a training wheelset, too. Whether racing, training, or sportiving, though, the undeniable quality of disc braking takes the original Jet 4's focus on safe, reliable stopping to whole new levels. While the aluminum rim on Jet wheels originally addressed carbon's poor braking by providing an alloy track, the Jet 4s with disc brakes do away with rim braking altogether. Compared to even the braking surface on HED's Black models, the disc-equipped Black Disc wheels enjoy stopping power that modulates better, grabs with more consistency, and virtually ensures that the Jet 6s will never violently deform because they hit the glass transition temperature as a result of a long, hot descent. While the new road disc technology may be responsible for stopping a cyclist on these wheels, their strongest selling point is definitely the boost they provide while they're going. As you'd expect from rims of this depth, the wheels love to hold speed after they're spun up. HED also knows that faster speeds require a heightened sense of control that's often at odds with aerodynamic rims, so it developed Stability Control Technology (SCT), which reduces lateral forces applied to the rims at 0-15 degrees of yaw. Combined with the relative stability of a sub-50mm fairing, the addition of SCT nets stability that doesn't quite rival a traditional aluminum box section but won't through you around like a true NACA air foil shape. The rims' aerodynamic savings are compounded by a reduction in the rolling resistance because of the Jet 4's 25mm wide C2 rims. C2 rims increase the tire's volume and contact patch for lower ...

HED Jet 6 Plus Black Disc Brake Wheelset - Clincher HED Jet 6 Plus Black Disc Brake Wheelset - Clincher
At this point in the development of wheel technology, the aerodynamic benefits of HED's Jet 6 Plus Black Carbon Disc Brake Wheelset are collectively taken as an industry truism. Ditto the cross-wind stability granted by the bullet-shaped inner face of the carbon fairing. The disc brake capabilities of these wheels are still something of a novelty on road racing kit, with proponents and detractors pitching their cases on the world's largest cycling stage in Europe. By combining its proven aerodynamic technology with the nascent trend of discs on tarmac, HED helps advance the pro-disc contingent's case that superiority of disc brakes will be the industry's next assumed truth. We've had the opportunity to ride several models of road disc brakes, and we can understand why HED is keen to make this transition. Discs do away with one of our greatest critiques of carbon rims -- the questionable braking -- for stopping power that modulates better, grabs with more consistency, and virtually ensures that the Jet 6s will never violently deform because they hit the glass transition temperature as a result of a long, hot descent. While the new road disc technology may be responsible for stopping a cyclist on these wheels, their strongest selling point is definitely the boost they provide while they're going. Again, the 60mm profile is an aerodynamic truism, but HED also knows that faster speeds require a heightened sense of control that's often at odds with wheels of this depth. HED's Stability Control Technology (SCT), which reduces lateral forces at 0-15 degree yaw angles. This makes the Jet 6's 60mm depth handle unruly wind with the intuitive predictability of a 30 or 40mm deep wheel that has a traditional NACA airfoil cross section. The rims' aerodynamic savings are compounded by a reduction in the rolling resistance because of the Jet 6's 25mm wide C2 rims. C2 rims increase the tire's volume and contact patch for lower rolling resistance, more grip in corners, and a more...

HED Jet 6 Plus Carbon Road Wheelset - Clincher HED Jet 6 Plus Carbon Road Wheelset - Clincher
Wheels of the deep-dish -- greater than 50mm -- variety excel on flat courses, but very often we find ourselves on courses riddled with hills. Now, if they were just long drawn out grades, then any deep-dish would do. But all too often, they are of the brutal switchback variety where drafting is quickly negated. The HED Jet 6 Plus Clincher is a wheelset for the switchbacks. It's a dangerous cliche to say that the Jet 6 is a 'one-quiver' wheel, but that's exactly how HED designed it. It's heavier than a traditional climbing wheelset, but for most moderate hills, it's still more efficient and inherently faster. Over the past 26 years of engineering wheels, Steve Hed's end goal remains the same: simply make them as fast as possible. So, it's almost a given that HED aerodynamics are superb. However, what you might not know is that these wheels' aerodynamics are equally matched by their low rolling resistance. We have HED's C2 rim concept concept to thank for this. Essentially, C2 is about reduction of the two C's -- less Cda (aerodynamic drag) and less Crr (rolling resistance). Accordingly, a 25mm rim width makes this possible, and is mainly responsible for the wider-is-better campaign that's been replicated throughout the market. But, you're certainly wondering, why wider' Well, the width provides what can be described as an 'aero shroud' for the rest of the wheel. This also changes the nature of the tire's contact patch with the road. However, HED also knows that faster speeds require a heightened sense of control. This becomes evident through HED testing, as it found that rim depths which cross the forty or fifty-millimeter threshold grow increasingly more difficult to handle in crosswinds. So, HED engineered a solution that it calls Stability Control Technology, or SCT. In regards to the wheel shape, at 0-15 degree yaw angles, SCT reduces the force put on the wheels by side winds. This makes the Jet 6's 60mm depth handle more like a 30 or 40mm deep wheel in cross...

Mercury Wheels G1 Carbon Disc Wheelset - Tubeless Mercury Wheels G1 Carbon Disc Wheelset - Tubeless
Bumpy gravel roads, light-duty singletrack, and tours across state lines call for a stout and supportive wheelset that's wide enough for running larger rubber, yet light and snappy when you're hammering up climbs and pedaling across miles of countryside. Designed for this very purpose, the Mercury G1 Carbon Disc Wheelset offers a superb balance of rolling efficiency, proven strength, and high-volume support for gravel exploration, bikepacking adventures, and long-distance tours. Sitting at a whopping 30-millimeters across (external width), the G1 Carbon Disc Wheelset supports higher volume tires in the neighborhood of 35 to 40-millimeters across, give or take a few millimeters for your riding preferences. Tubeless-ready rims allow you to drop the pressure of wider tires, in turn lending a smooth and supple sensation across rough roads and gravel surfaces. Ultimately, this means you'll conserve energy without the fatiguing feel of jarring bumps and excess vibration you've become accustomed to with gravel road exploration. Carbon construction maximizes stiffness, meaning you'll feel its snappy acceleration the instant you step on the gas. It's also stronger than its aluminum counterparts, ensuring longevity when you inevitably thrash 'em over jarring roads and unpaved surfaces. The G1 Carbon Disc Wheelset is designed for disc brakes and thru-axles, but is also adaptable to a front quick-release skewer, making it a great choice for a modern gravel world where no "standard" is ever really standard. Plus, its disc brake-compatibility means you won't have to worry about the loss in braking composure normally associated with a carbon road wheelset.

Case in point, the 38/TwentyFour Carbon Clincher Disc Wheel by Profile Design is a speedy workhorse that sets PRs on your favorite segments with its impressive balance of streamlined aerodynamics, unbelievable power transfer, and relatively lightweight construction. 6-bolt disc hubs deliver reliable stopping power during sustained descents and soaking-wet conditions, which is something that traditional carbon wheels have struggled with in the past. Profile's engineers settled upon the 38/TwentyFour's rim depth and width profile from extensive wind tunnel testing in conjunction with Computational Fluid Dynamics. Because wind tunnel testing alone isn't necessarily transferable to real-world situations where wind speed and direction are constantly in flux, Profile Design worked with Speed Theory to simulate the historical wind patterns and angles of popular race courses while riding the 38/TwentyFour. After simulating the predominant wind speeds and patterns of popular race venues, Profile then tried out different width and depth profiles with Computational Fluid Dynamics to achieve an optimal balance between slippery aerodynamics and stable handling in tricky crosswinds. The result is a wheel that's 38-millimeters deep and 24-millimeters wide externally, giving you just enough aerodynamics to shave precious seconds on the flats while maintaining a relatively low weight on the climbs and handling crosswinds without the dreaded "sail effect."Looking to the hubs, you'll find the use forged and machined 6061-T6 aluminum with a shot peened anodized finish that's 18 percent stronger than standard aluminum freehubs. The shot peened anodized finish prevents cassette damage from digging into the hub body or moving unnecessarily, which translate...

Profile Design 58/TwentyFour Carbon Clincher Disc Wheel Profile Design 58/TwentyFour Carbon Clincher Disc Wheel
Given Profile Design's notoriety for producing aerodynamic triathlon components, it makes perfect sense they'd create the 58/TwentyFour Carbon Clincher Disc Wheel for riders seeking to shave every second from spirited training rides and competitive racing scenarios with their medium-dish profile that balances aerodynamics with crosswind stability. Carbon construction ups the ante in stiffness, ensuring every watt of available power is transferred into forward motion. And since disc brakes have become increasingly popular with road cyclists and triathletes alike, this particular wheel accommodates the powerful stopping force of 6-bolt disc rotors. Extensive research and design went into the 58/TwentyFour's rim depth and width profile, with Profile engineers using a mixture of wind tunnel testing and Computational Fluid Dynamics in testing the wheel's aerodynamic prowess. And because wind tunnel testing alone isn't necessarily transferable to real-world situations where wind speed and direction are constantly in flux, Profile Design worked with Speed Theory to simulate the historical wind patterns and angles of popular race courses in relation to the 58/TwentyFour's wheel depth and width profile. After simulating the predominant wind speeds and patterns of popular race venues, Profile then tried a number of different rim widths and depths for their particular wheel applications. In this case, they settled upon a 58-millimeter deep carbon wheel for an obvious aero advantage with a slightly curved side and rounded spoke-facing edge that manages lateral crosswinds better than a traditional airfoil rim. As for the 24. 5-millimeter rim width, Profile found this width straightens the tire's sidewalls, subsequently creating a plusher ride with less rolling resistance. Looking at the hub, Profile uses a forged and machined 6061-T6 aluminum hub with a shot peened anodized finish that's 18 percent stronger than standard aluminum freehubs. The shot peened anodized finish p...

Profile Design T2+ DL Aluminum Clip-on Aerobars Profile Design T2+ DL Aluminum Clip-on Aerobars
If you're a draft-legal triathlete who's confident enough in your swim skills that you foresee the need for aerobars during long spells off the front alone, then Profile Design's T2+ DL Aluminum Clip-on Aerobars are your ticket to ITU-approved aerodynamics. Since the extension is adjustable independently of the basebar bracket, you can dial the length to keep the bar ends from extending beyond your brake levers and maintain draft legality. That adjustability also makes the T2+ DL bars a graceful solution for any roadie dabbling in the triathlon scene or looking for an aerodynamic edge in the time trial of a weekend stage race. The short, adjustable extension isn't the ideal solution for The Race of Truth, but it does mean you won't have to dramatically overhaul the rest of your cockpit's geometry.

Selle Italia Novus L Team Edition Flow Saddle Selle Italia Novus L Team Edition Flow Saddle
Selle Italia recently took a trip to the nineties, bringing back its Novus line and reworking it to exceed 21st century cycling standards. The Novus L team Edition Flow Saddle Shows why the brand is still successful after over a century. It's built on a frame of strong, light titanium rails and a composite body that combine to provide a firm ride without sacrificing comfort. The saddle's shape, extra wide at the back with a gradual taper into the nose, maintains comfort for wide-hipped riders while perched on the saddle's nose to maximize efficiency while pedaling. Selle Italia's signature cutout encourages circulation and airflow throughout your ride, and a Fibra-Tek cover stretched over the entire saddle provides unfussy protection from the elements. This is the wider version of the Novus Flow, so if you've used Selle Italia's idmatch fit guide and have found you need saddles from the L2 group, the Novus L is among the recommended options. Selle Italia leaves out additional padding in the Novus L Flow, so expect it to feel firm and responsive rather than soft and bouncy. Less padding also comes with the added benefit of keeping the saddle's weight low at a claimed 230g. Firm doesn't have to mean uncomfortable, though, and the saddle has a touch of engineered flex to ensure you won't have to worry about cutting your long rides short because of discomfort.

Selle SMP Composit Selle SMP Composit
You--and everyone else--can recognize Selle SMP saddles at a glance, but can you explain why they look so distinctive' Selle didn't design the beaked nose, high back, and large central channel for no reason, after all, and while all the above are common features on Selle saddles, each has been tailored to fit specific riding styles, anatomies, and disciplines. The Composit Road Saddle, for example, employs the same shape and materials as the SMP4BIKE series, but it ditches the foam to better suit aggressive road riders with narrow to average pelvises. The lack of foam makes the Composit slightly less cushy, but that's not a racer's primary concern. More important are support and stiffness, which the Composit delivers via an elastomer nylon and carbon composite shell. The beaked nose provides more space for your twig 'n' berries, and the pronounced center channel relieves pressure on other soft tissue areas so you can sit comfortably without loading up on padding. The raised "whale tail" back gives you something to push against, and the durable steel rails handle years of hard riding without getting loose or losing strength.

Shimano 105 RD-5800 11-Speed Rear Derailleur Shimano 105 RD-5800 11-Speed Rear Derailleur
While Dura-Ace is known as the top-tier in the Shimano component line, Ultegra has been known as the workhorse and in some cases the more durable of the two -- it reaps the benefits of technological developments of Dura-Ace without the extra carbon bling. Now, the trickle-down is trickling even further. Shimano's new 105 RD-5800 11-Speed Rear Derailleur now benefits from much of the same top-tier engineering. The new 105 rear derailleur features the same wider pivots as last year's iteration. They are more resistant to flex and twist, which ensures faster, smoother shifting. These were borrowed from the DA group. The new 5800 was updated with a new spring mechanism and cable pitch, which increases adjustability for perfect alignment. The body of the derailleur features more metal and less carbon, which makes it slightly heavier, but the mechanics now eclipse DA from just a few years ago. The biggest difference in the new 5800 is the addition of another cog. Yes, 11-speed componentry has become affordable for the masses. The Shimano 105 RD-5800 11-Speed Rear Derailleur is available in Black in either a Long or Short cage version. The Long cage will accommodate a 32tooth rear cog, ideal for climbing and touring.

Shimano 105 ST-5800 11-Speed STI Shifters Shimano 105 ST-5800 11-Speed STI Shifters
If you've been jealous of your 11-speed-convert friends, but just haven't wanted to smash the piggy bank open to buy a new groupset, the new Shimano 105 5800 group is what you've been waiting for. The 105 ST-5800 11-Speed STI Shifters feature technology that has trickled all the way down from Shimano's Dura-Ace line, but in a more affordable package. The first thing you'll notice about the 5800 group is that, yes, it does have 11-speeds. Drawing from the popularity of the Dura-Ace and Ultegra groups, the 5800 is now compatible with the new and improved CS-5800 for a full range of 22 gears. Unlike the last iteration of 105, the new STI shifters feature a more compact and streamlined lever that fits into your hand. It is also adjustable for reach so that your hand-to-brake interface is secure. The shifting mechanism itself draws inspiration from Shimano's top-tier groups, with shorter strokes and polymer cables for faster, more accurate shifting. The biggest noticeable difference between the 105 shifters and their big brothers is that the levers are alloy rather than carbon construction. This, as well as alloy verses lighter weight titanium bolts, increases the weight of the shifters a bit from the top-tier models. The Shimano 105 ST-5800 11-Speed STI Shifters come in one color and are available as Left, Right, or as a Set.

Shimano Dura-Ace 9100 C24 Carbon Laminate Road Wheelset - Clincher Shimano Dura-Ace 9100 C24 Carbon Laminate Road Wheelset - Clincher
When Shimano first released its Dura-Ace carbon laminated clincher, we swore we could hear palpable sighs of relief from cycling forums, group rides, and tech geeks thumbing through the glossies. Some we're sure exercised healthy skepticism, as the first round of carbon clinchers had done a good job at inspiring fear rather than confidence, but as time went on, it became clear that, by combining the lightweight of carbon with the reliability of alloy, Shimano had somehow conjured a wheel that rose above the hindrances its ancestors had faced. The Dura-Ace 9100 C24 Carbon Laminated Clincher Wheelset continues the legacy its landmark predecessor established, updated to modern standards and remaining every bit as strong a member of the carbon clincher category as it was when it was first introduced. The C24 may be the least changed member of the Dura-Ace 9100 line, with the only change coming in the form of wider flange spacing, which further increases the wheels' torsional and lateral rigidity by improving the spoke bracing angle. The previous C24 hubs were already relatively wide because of Shimano's angular contact bearings. The bearings' shape allows them to be pushed as far outboard as possible, making the hub a wider platform for the spokes to stand on and making the additional width even more impressive. Notably, and despite the increased drive stiffness, the improved spoke angle has no impact on the rim's engineered radial flex, which means the C24 still takes the edge off of harsh bumps. The rim's construction, which is ultimately responsible for the wheelset's devoted following, remains the same. It involves an alloy body that's extruded and machined to thin the walls down to an almost two-dimensional 0. 6mm wall thickness--about half of the typical alloy rim wall thickness of 1 to 1. 3mm. This obviously reduces weight to a minimum, but it also does mean the overall structure is less sound, so Shimano buttresses the rim with a jealously guarded carbon lam...

Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 FD-R9150 11-Speed Front Derailleur Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 FD-R9150 11-Speed Front Derailleur
Aside from some slightly modified aesthetics and a 10g reduction in weight, the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 FD-R9150 11-Speed Front Derailleur carries over the high functioning precision of its 9070 predecessor. While the new 9150 rear derailler gets all the attention for its mountain-inspired changes, the front derailleur sits stealthily by as the brains of the Di2 system, ensuring fast, reliable, and customizeable gear shifts whether you're off to the coffee shop for the Sunday social ride or hammering the pedals at the pointy end of the peloton. The front derailleur has always been our favorite component of the Di2 series, reinforced by years of mechanical systems throwing chains at inopportune moments on climbs and winding up for sprints. Di2 makes thrown chains a part of history with fast, silent, and accurate chain movement boosted by Shimano's automatic trimming function. This feature adjusts the position and angle of the front derailleur, on-the-fly, and eliminates the possibility of dropping the chain under heavy shifts up or down the chainrings, regardless of how cross-chained that you may be. This function also prevents the mere thought of chain rub for a smooth, quiet ride in every gear combination.

Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 RD-R9150 11-Speed Rear Derailleur Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 RD-R9150 11-Speed Rear Derailleur
Shimano's new Dura-Ace Di2 RD-R9150 11-Speed Rear Derailleur boasts a sleek profile that practically hides from the wind and finally brings the Synchronized Shift functionality honed in the trail-focused XTR Di2 system onto the road. Enabling Synchronized Shift lets the Di2 system work its magic to automatically shuttle your chain from cog to cog without any input from you and intelligently manage the fleet of cogs at the aft-end of your drivetrain. That said, it isn't a requirement to use, so the traditionalists among us will breathe a sigh of relief that this derailleur also allows the same precise, manually controlled and customizable shifting we've come to expect from Di2. By putting the rear and front derailleurs in communication with each other, Synchronized Shift can actually calculate your efficiency and perform simultaneous front and rear shifts to eliminate cross-chaining and set you up in the best chain line for any given gearing. These shifting patterns depend on the direction you're shifting and the combination you're shifting into, and they're also programmable via Shimano's E-Tube system, so you can set your preferences in advance to ensure that your internally communicating drivetrain isn't conspiring against you. The shifting itself is peerless, as the derailleur always knows where it is, so its travel isn't restricted or lengthened by imperfect cables. It situates the chain squarely on every cog and it jumps between those positions with startling speed. As with other Shimano Di2 bits, the Dura-Ace rear derailleur is compatible with Shimano's rust-, stretch-, freeze-, and generally worry-free E-Tube wiring system. Its modularity makes it easy to set up on virtually any frame, though it does cohabitate with less friction when the frame is built with Di2 in mind.

Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 ST-9070 11-Speed Shifters Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 ST-9070 11-Speed Shifters
Dura-Ace Di2 has become renowned as "the" electronic shifting system to trust. And while it neared perfection, leave it to Shimano to improve upon it even more with the advent of the Dura-Ace Di2 9070 11-Speed STI Shifters. First and foremost, you'll notice that the new Di2 features 11 speeds, which is quickly becoming the number to hit. But beyond that, Shimano looked at the aesthetics and ergonomics of the levers to create touch points that enhance your riding experience. The shape of the levers has been given even more of an outward curve while also growing in length. This allows for a better interaction with the levers, whether you're on the hoods or in the drops. Speaking of the hoods, they are made from a dual-compound rubber composite with a perforated design, but are now smaller and slimmer in shape. Conversely, the shift paddles have been widened for a better interface in the heat of the moment. Shimano still adds in 10mm of reach adjustment. Beyond the aesthetics is the shifting performance. It is here that Shimano's Rider-Tuned philosophy takes shape. For example, with the Di2 9070, you're able to select one of five different rear derailleur shifting speeds. More impressive is that the 9070 is now capable of performing shifts up to 28 teeth on the cassette. To enhance shifting, a more minimal single-wire E-Tube connection is used. This also makes for more options for the inclusion of satellite shifting systems.

Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 ST-R9150 11-Speed Shifters Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 ST-R9150 11-Speed Shifters
As the rest of the industry scrambles to catch up, Shimano's Di2 groupsets continue to set the standard for precise electronic shifting with nearly endless customizability. The release of 9150 is the next evolution of Di2, bringing slightly updated aesthetics and even better shift functionality to your next ride. The Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 ST-R9150 11-Speed Shifters sit at the helm of your cockpit to drive precise shifts exactly when you need them. The hoods take on a similar shape to 9070, but with a few slight tweaks for improved comfort when your hands are on the hoods. Made from a dual-compound rubber composite, the low-volume hood design retains the slightly perforated form of 9070 and makes lever accessibility easy. The lever blades and paddles see an outward curve and feel that's slightly more pronounced than in the prior generation, which makes for a more positive interaction from either the hoods or drops. Shimano also incorporates a more noticeable "click" feeling when shifting, which addresses the almost too-stealthy shift feel that was one of the few complaints we've fielded about previous Di2 systems. Aside from those tweaks, the Dura-Ace 9150 shifters deliver the precise, swift gear changes we've come to expect from Di2. Shimano even claims that this version might even be a little bit faster, but frankly, we have a hard time qualifying that claim when we're out on the road. Both shifters allow a customizable shifting experience dialed to your riding style and requirements, including the ability to dump through multiple gears--or even the entire cassette--with one shift movement. And for the proverbial icing on the cake, when paired with the new 9150 rear derailleur, these shifters are now capable of performing shifts up to a 30t cog on the cassette.

Shimano Dura-Ace FC-R9100 11-Speed Crankset Shimano Dura-Ace FC-R9100 11-Speed Crankset
If you, like a few of us old souls around the Competitive offices, are holding fast to your belief in the soul of mechanical shifting, Shimano hasn't abandoned you. Though the world may very well be moving towards 100% electronic drivetrains someday in the future, mechanical still makes a hell of a case for itself. With smooth lines, elegant finishing, and functionality beyond reproach, the redesigned mechanical Dura-Ace drivetrain calmly holds its own in this brave new world of wires, batteries, and display screens. It's fitting then, that the Dura-Ace FC-R9100 11-Speed Crankset also comes with the double chainrings that many roadies are loathe to abandon just yet. Call upon your granny gear when needed with this lighter, stronger version of a top-end classic, and embrace tried-and-true tradition of cables. Of course, in the even that you do decide to run electro-shifting, the crank's ring profile plays just as nicely with Di2 derailleurs. Shimano didn't introduce any drastic changes to its proven four-arm design, but it did make a few subtle, deliberate changes to bring it up to the most modern compatibility standards. By widening the crank arm, Shimano was able to move the chainline 0. 5mm outboard; this barely perceptible repositioning was just enough to give the crankset broader compatibility with shorter chainstays and the growing number of road bikes built for disc brakes. The gram counters will be happy to learn that beefing up the crank arm didn't result in a change in weight. Instead, Shimano was able to carefully remove internal material where it wasn't needed, strengthening only the most crucial areas of the crank arms and actually reducing weight by around a claimed 7g over the previous generation. The Japanese brand calls this process Hollowtech II, but it could very well be sorcery for all we know. In addition, Shimano also slightly reshaped the chainrings' gear teeth profile to adapt it to the gearing on disc brake-equipped race bikes. As alway...

Shimano Dura-Ace FD-R9100 11-Speed Front Derailleur Shimano Dura-Ace FD-R9100 11-Speed Front Derailleur
Across Dura-Ace 9100, Shimano made subtle, rather than monumental, shifts in design to improve a system that was already pretty damn good. Proving that mechanical drivetrains can--and still should--be improved, Shimano focused most of its attention on the derailleurs, making the biggest changes to ride experience with important tweaks to both the front and rear derailleurs' designs. The resulting Dura-Ace FD-R9100 11-Speed Front Derailleur delivers concrete improvements to its predecessor's shortcomings, behaving far more consistently than the often moody than some of its predecessors, whose changes in attitude could be set off by cable entry angles and cable tension that didn't suit it. How'd they do it' Not by magic, though sometimes we wonder. No, Shimano found a way to redesign the body of the derailleur, equipping it with a new linkage system and integrated cable tension adjuster that does away with the need for a barrel adjuster. The design embraces multiple routing options that its previous version wouldn't dream of allowing, and requires low rider effort to generate precise, crisp shifts. Key big ring shifts in the heated moments of a race are no longer just possible within a strict set of parameters; now, you'll only have to lift a finger. Plus, the derailleur's more compact internals mean that the entire body has shrunk, increasing clearance and eliminating the infuriating cable rub that has irritated many of us to our limits at some point in our cycling careers.

Shimano Dura-Ace FD-R9150 Front Derailleur Adapter Shimano Dura-Ace FD-R9150 Front Derailleur Adapter
There are two things you can count on with steel frames: they ride like butter and you'll have to spend an inordinate amount of time hunting down a braze-on mount in order to attach any of today's front derailleurs to them. Shimano's Di2 derailleurs are a good case in point, but the Dura-Ace FD-R9150 Front Derailleur Adapter simplifies the hunt. It's an age-old solution to a contemporary problem. Frankly, Di2 front derailleurs are designed to be attached to carbon frames whose seat tubes have such tortured, overwrought shapes that no clamp known to human kind can tame them, so they're all just braze-on derailleurs that mount directly to the frame. This rules out frames with traditional, round, tube-shaped tubes--unless, that is, you've got the right adapter. The FD-R9150 Adapter lets you marry the latest drivetrain technology with your favorite frameset.

Shimano Dura-Ace RD-R9100 11-Speed Rear Derailleur Shimano Dura-Ace RD-R9100 11-Speed Rear Derailleur
At a time when electronic drivetrains are gaining unstoppable traction, we appreciate that Shimano chose not to neglect its storied pro-level mechanical drivetrain for Di2, making careful, meticulous updates that have resulted in subtle, but significant, improvements to functionality. For those of us who still unabashedly believe in the soul of mechanical shifting, the Dura-Ace RD-R9100 11-Speed Rear Derailleur feeds our love for self-actuated shifting with a more protected position and cleaner mounting interface. When redesigning Dura-Ace, Shimano carried over the modifications to the rear derailleur shaping from Di2 to 9100. That involved altering the low-profile Shadow design slightly to better protect it in the event of a crash. This slimmer, more streamlined shape integrates expertly with the sleek aesthetics of the Dura-Ace 9100 drivetrain as a whole, delivering smoother lines and a less utilitarian appearance. Shimano also worked to improve shifting efficiency on the rear derailleur, constructing the pulley to remain a consistent distance away from the cassette for more dependable shifts. The shorter, effortless shift throws on the levers result in crisp chain jumps up and down the cassette all day long with no sign of getting bogged down. Shimano also looked to its mountain drivetrains when reworking the rear derailleur's mount, adopting its Direct Mount interface to add stability and offer more efficient cage alignment.

Shimano Dura-Ace ST-R9100 11-Speed STI Shifters Shimano Dura-Ace ST-R9100 11-Speed STI Shifters
For Dura-Ace 9100's redesign, it was only fitting for Shimano to update its ST-R9100 11-Speed STI Shifters alongside the reworked front and rear derailleurs. When it unveiled Dura-Ace 9100, Shimano subsequently gave a nod of solidarity to double cranksets and mechanical shifting for road. Rather than stubbornly refusing to let traditional standards die, Shimano demonstrates these technologies' ability to transition into the future. Sure, a few of us at Competitive unabashedly love the soul of mechanical shifting, but with the crispness, precision, and sinewy curves of the new R9100 Shifters, the system makes the argument for itself. Shortening up the lever stroke and updating the internal shifting unit were first on the list for the shifters' upgrades, and Shimano succeeded admirably at what it does best: creating incredibly reliable, functional componentry. Quick taps deliver smooth, effortless shifts along the cassette and crankset compared to 9000, whether you're mashing down on the pedals in a race or out for a Sunday hill climb with your ride crew, which places Dura-Ace 9100 at the zenith of mechanical shifting. Shimano waved its meticulous wand over the brake levers as well, achieving improved hand/lever interaction by carving the lever blades into a more sinuous, contoured shape. This shape enhances braking leverage in a decidedly European style not previously seen from the more utilitarian brand, giving you the ability to shave, rather than dump, speed on serpentine descents from the hoods as well as the drops. Further, the brand cleaned up the hoods, sculpting them into a smaller, more organic shape that enhances both rider comfort as well as the groupset's already classy aesthetics.

Shimano Dura-Ace WH-9000-C24-TL Carbon Road Wheelset - Tubeless Shimano Dura-Ace WH-9000-C24-TL Carbon Road Wheelset - Tubeless
Logic prevailing, you'd assume that a lightweight wheelset would sacrifice its durability and ruggedness for weight savings. Well, the Shimano Dura-Ace WH-9000-C24-TL Carbon Tubeless Road Wheelset is here to throw that notion by the wayside. Shimano's proprietary Carbon Lamination technology reduces the rim's aluminum to only 0. 6-millimeters thick without sacrificing strength or stability, courtesy of its fused carbon layers for added lateral stiffness and strength. Although deep-dish rims are all the rage these days, this wheelset sticks to a lower profile 24-millimeter depth for fast spin-up, as well as nimble handling in tricky crosswinds. Its 20. 8mm width adds a bit larger contact patch for greater traction, also allowing you to run a lower pressure for increased shock absorption, especially considering its tubeless-ready design. Additional performance-enhancing features include an offset design that takes into consideration the stress exerted by drive and non-drive sides, further reinforced by sturdy T-nut construction at the junction of the spoke and rim. The lightweight titanium freehub is housed within a wide flange hub for maximum efficiency and power transfer. Moreover, its cup-and-cone bearings resist undue stress from straightaways and hard corners. Please note that this wheelset works with tubes and tubeless setups, as well as 11-speed and 10-speed cassettes (with additional spacer).

Shimano Shimano Dura-Ace 9000 Chainring Shimano Shimano Dura-Ace 9000 Chainring
The Shimano Dura-Ace groupset is well known for its precision engineering. This engineering extends into every part of the groupset, including the new 9000-series Chainring. The DA 9000 chainring is made from alloy that has been carbide-reinforced. Carbide is often used in drill tips for longevity and durability, and you'll find those same qualities extend to the chainring. Additionally, the teeth on the rings receive less wear, making for consistent, smooth shifting. But, as perfect as these chainrings are, they are only compatible with Shimano 11-Speed road drivetrains.

Shimano ST-R785 Di2 Hydraulic STI Lever & Disc Brake Caliper Set Shimano ST-R785 Di2 Hydraulic STI Lever & Disc Brake Caliper Set
The R785 Di2 Hydraulic STI Lever and Disc Brake Caliper Set marks Shimano's hydraulic disc brake debut, and because the UCI has not yet approved disc brakes at the pro-level (for which its flagship Dura-Ace groupset is intended), the R785 is atop the pack. The R785s feature Shimano's IceTech technology, which results in braking power that is consistent no matter what the conditions. By placing cooling fins in the braking pads, Shimano has found a way to dissipate heat more effectively, allowing the brakes to grab faster and the pads to last longer. In addition, Shimano's disc break system was designed to work with Di2 electronic shifting. In order to hold the fluid reservoir for mineral oil, the front profile of the R785s is higher than previous Ultegra profiles. The R785s also feature reach and stroke adjustments to ensure that your hand position is ideal. Lastly, keep in mind that Shimano's ST-R785 Di2 Hydraulic STI Lever and Disc Brake Caliper Set does not include the rotors.

Shimano Ultegra 6800 Crankset Shimano Ultegra 6800 Crankset
We've all got multiple cycling lives, ranging from racing road and 'cross to riding charity sportives and all the long training miles that go into preparing for them. Few cranks can comfortably straddle every aspect of the mutable cyclist's life like Shimano's Ultegra 6800 Crankset, which brings the stiff Hollowtech II design of Dura-Ace to a price that appeals to riders outside of the peloton. The Ultegra 6800 Crankset may not be as light as the Dura-Ace model, but it still checks-in at a race-worthy 765g. While the Ultegra 6800 drivetrain's two extra speeds may be the most noticeable upgrade, in truth, the entire crankset has been redesigned to follow in its big brother's footsteps. The biggest change is the use of a four-arm, rather than the traditional five-arm, spider, which saves a claimed 26g. The new crankset design also standardizes the bolt circle diameter, so it accommodates standard or compact chainrings without having to spring for a completely new crankset. You're able to switch gearing from a 55-42t down to a 46-36t in a matter of a few minutes.

Shimano Ultegra 6800 Front Derailleur Shimano Ultegra 6800 Front Derailleur
Front derailleurs are pretty single-minded, so we were initially a bit bemused that Shimano insisted on making as many changes as it did to the latest generation of the Ultegra 6800 Front Derailleur. The 6800 model borrows design cues from its more expensive Dura-Ace cousin, which manifest visually as a much longer pull arm. This creates more leverage at the point of chain contact than a shorter pull arm, so shifts are faster and more responsive while requiring less cable pull and a shorter shift lever stroke.

Shimano Ultegra 6800 STI Shifters Shimano Ultegra 6800 STI Shifters
Shimano Ultegra has always been the groupset of choice for riders who prefer bombproof durability over the latest in carbon. But, what those riders also know is that Ultegra is always privy to the latest advancements in the venerable Dura-Ace group. The Ultegra 6800 is no exception. Taking its cues from the Dura-Ace 9000, 11-speed group, the STI shifters see a significant leaning toward the engineering and aesthetic of its older sibling. The bulkiness of the old Ultegra shifters has been replaced with a slimmer, dual-compound rubber composite hood and streamlined carbon fiber levers. This means improved grip on the hoods as well as more reliable shifting. Additionally, they now have 10mm of reach adjustment to ensure the perfect fit for most hand sizes. As far as the shifting, Ultegra has upped Shimano's "Rider-Tuned" philosophy a notch. To begin with, the lever stroke has been shortened by almost 13%. This means that you won't have to push as far to make the gear change. Using its Vivid Index Technology, the effort to downshift is now as smooth as to move the gears up. This is done not only through careful design of the Ultegra 6800 STI mechanism itself, but also through the incorporation of Shimano's polymer-coated shifter cables that reduce drag.

The 6870 Di2 rear now also has 11-speed shifting capability with sleeker, more professional-looking wiring and a mid-cage version that can accommodate a 32t cog in the rear. Shimano Ultegra Di2 ST-R8050 11-Speed Shifters Shimano Ultegra Di2 ST-R8050 11-Speed Shifters
They say the third times a charm and Shimano continues to bring Di2 to the masses with the much-refined gen 3 Ultegra Di2 ST-R8050 11-Speed Shifters. Exceptional electronic shifting and powerful braking, when operating the firm's SLR calipers, is at your fingertips and the value and performance of this group are simply remarkable. Borrowing heavily from the top-tier Dura Ace levers, the R8050's are redesigned with improved ergonomics in mind. Because much less space is needed to house electronic buttons versus mechanical bits, the hoods are much more compact, lighter, and the lower profile feels great, perfect because that is where we spend most of our time while riding. Shimano even went so far as to create a new rubber compound and tread for the hoods that is designed to reduce vibration and improve grip. Gloves or no gloves, the tactile grip is amazing and our hands refused to slip even climbing out of the saddle on the hottest of rides. Befitting riders with bigger and smaller hands alike, a screw reach adjustment places the brake levers just where you need them for comfort and maximum control. The shift buttons are easy to reach both from the hoods and in the drops and, again trickled down from Dura Ace, have a more positive click and are more distinguishable between upshift and downshift than previous versions. What we love most about Di2 is that shifting feels akin to clicking a mouse, only requiring 2mm of movement. This requires much less focus and effort, especially for front shifting, so you can concentrate on riding and is much appreciated on the battlefield. Remote sprinter and climbing satellite shifters are available separately that plug into these shifters, allowing further customization. The Ultegra Di2 STI levers are compatible with Shimano E-Tube components and accessories including derailleurs, battery, junction boxes and wires. The E-Tube software allows you to fully customize the group including shifting speed, number of shifts per click or ...

Shimano Ultegra FC-R8000 Crankset Shimano Ultegra FC-R8000 Crankset
Shimano's Ultegra FC-R8000 Crankset represents true trickle down from Shimano's flagship Dura-Ace group not only visually, but in the technological features that make both cranksets light, stiff, and shift with precision. The new, aggressively angular lines increase stiffness, providing excellent power transfer. The chainrings and bolts were also redesigned to provide better chainstay clearance for shorter rear end bikes or road disc bikes with wider dropout spacing. Shimano has the technical expertise and manufacturing prowess to create industry-leading shifting and stiffness to weight for the rings and crank arms, respectively. The latter property is owed to Shimano's Hollowtech II arm construction, a heavily guarded secret. Where other manufacturers drill the arms to reduce weight or create two sides and clam-shell them together, Shimano is able to forge the arms and still keep them hollow. As with the Dura-Ace 9100 series, Shimano adds some width to the R8000's arms and orients the spider to more efficiently transfer energy during important power phases throughout the pedal stroke. The asymmetric spider and chainring spacing allows Shimano to put two chainring bolts close to the wider arms, further adding rigidity to the rings for better shifting and power transfer. As noted above, Shimano's excellent chainring engineering continues with the FC-R8000. We once heard a rumor that Shimano owns patents on every single chainring tooth's shape, pin, shift ramp, etc. We're not sure if this is true, but we do know that, compared to other rings we've used, Shimano rings in operation tend to run much quieter, wear at a much better rate, and offer more positive and quicker shifting. The tooth profiles on this crank have been slightly altered to improve shifting and chain retention at the extreme chainlines seen on the shorter stays of newer bikes combined with larger cassette ranges and wider rear spacing. To lessen the chainline, the inner chainring has been brought...

Shimano Ultegra FD-R8000 Front Derailleur Shimano Ultegra FD-R8000 Front Derailleur
The trickle down of Dura-Ace 9100 technology to Ultegra R8000 11-speed drivetrains continues with the FD-R8000 front derailleur. Shimano redesigned it to have a lighter shift action, increased frame and tire clearance, and to work better with chain lines seen on road bikes with disc brakes and shorter chainstays. Everything we love about the Dura-Ace mechanical front derailleur has carried over to the new Ultegra version. The derailleurs longer arms, which house the cable anchor bolt and debuted on the Ultegra 6800 and Dura Ace 9000 front derailleurs, allow for a lighter shift as the anchor point gives the cable increased leverage. Word is this design was born when Shimano challenged its engineers to make a mechanical version of Ultegra and Dura-Ace that performed well enough and was still able to hold its own against its electronic siblings, particularly the front derailleurs. The design worked well, but the industry trend towards wider tires and disc brakes pushed the rear end spacing out to 135 or 142mm. Cable routing was more particular with the longer arm derailleurs. Shimano even sent a guide with each derailleur to gauge which way to run the cable to the anchor bolt, but the evolving rear hub spacing made this an untenable solution. To address this, Shimano engineered a new design that increases the clearance between the front derailleur and rear tire and increases shifting responsiveness with more flexible cable routing. The FD-R8000 also includes a cable tension setting adjustment at the derailleur for a more precise and ease setup. The more compact design doesn't come at a sacrifice of shift feel. Shimano claims that the new link construction matches the force curve of the hand more naturally to reduce effort at the end of shifting. The shift throw is reduced and the effort required to throw the chain to the big ring, even (or especially) while you're exhausted and trying to bridge up, is reduced. The FD-R8000 Front Derailleur is constructed from a ...

Shimano Ultegra RD-R8000 Rear Derailleur Shimano Ultegra RD-R8000 Rear Derailleur
Shimano has used Shadow technology for years on its mountain bike rear derailleurs. It allows for a lower profile and places the derailleur further inboard, keeping them out of harm's way and allowing a better chain path off the top jockey wheel in relation to the cassette. Shimano's R9100 group is the first time we saw this technology carried over to the road side, and we're happy to see its inclusion on the Ultegra RD-R8000 rear derailleur. The RD-8000 is the crowning jewel on the new Ultegra group, and if you are building up or updating a bike, you really can't do wrong with this group. The additional range afforded by the longer cage opens up the Ultegra group to adventure bikes and brings the precision, durability, and value to the masses. Additionally, if you just want to add a wider range to your Dura-Ace steed, adding the long cage Ultegra derailleur and cassette is all you need to spin perfect circles up long mountain passes. The shifting is impeccable, the durability is immaculate and the performance gap to Dura-Ace is about a tire width's margin in a bunch sprint. The change to an aluminum cage and some other minor hardware details are all that separate the Ultegra R8000 version from the Dura-Ace 9100 unit. Two cage lengths are available with cassette ranges from 11-30t (short) and 11-34t (long). Given a few design tweaks, the R8000 rear derailleur works best when paired with R8000 or R9100 levers, and it's a perfect addition to a full Ultegra bike or those running Dura Ace who want to run a bigger cassette. Another advantage of the Shadow design is the more linear path of the derailleur when shifting, which allowed the engineers at Shimano to create a shifter with a shorter throw resulting in more precise and quicker shifts--even with the larger cassette ranges we're beginning ride on everything from tarmac to gravel. We are happy to see Shimano continuing with a barrel adjuster at the derailleur. Road shifters don't have adjusters at the levers lik...

Shimano Ultegra ST-R8000 STI Shifters Shimano Ultegra ST-R8000 STI Shifters
Shimano's Ultegra is often thought of as a budget racer's group or one that was worthy to put on a top tier frame helping to bring the total price down. This latest version performs so flawlessly that unless you are just dead-set on Dura-Ace, you should seriously consider the Ultegra 8000 group. Because it's a serious drivetrain for serious cyclists. The Ultegra ST-R8000 STI Shifters have enough DNA from the new 9100 shifters--themselves perhaps the pinnacle of mechanical shifting--that you will have a hard time separating them as twins. An all new look, larger gear range, and smoother, more precise shifting are the hallmarks of the redesigned Ultegra group. We've always felt like the control levers on a road bike are akin to the central nervous system and must perform complex and precise tasks such as firing off shifts with proper indexing to provide just enough cable tension or slack to initiate a clean shift or pulling the right ratio of cable for controlled braking and rider feedback. This group is damn good at both. A group is only as good as the sum of its parts; however we've put enough miles on this new Ultegra group to realize that it is the best version we've ridden,. The improved ergonomics and super-light-shift and brake action make these Ultegra ST-R8000 STI shifters a perfect perch for Tuesday night worlds or a weekend double century. Shimano's mastery of shift indexing allows it to create shifting action that is more positive yet feels lighter and requires less effort. The new 8000 group is backward-compatible with Ultegra 6800, but to reap the most benefits of the new control levers, we recommend pairing them with the new series derailleurs and brake calipers. Most of the 8000 control levers share material makeup with the 9100 group. A slight increase in weight and a few bearings substituted for bushings are the most notable exceptions. We would place some heavy bets that most riders wouldn't be able to distinguish between the two in back-to-back ...

Shimano Ultegra WH-RS500 Road Wheelset - Tubeless Shimano Ultegra WH-RS500 Road Wheelset - Tubeless
We would never think of riding a mountain or gravel bike that wasn't shod with tubeless tires. The ability to run lower pressures and the increased flat prevention can't go unnoticed. While it's been a little bit slower to catch on with the road set, more road tubeless tires are currently available, and the technology, materials, and reliability have vastly improved. Shimano has been on the forefront of road tubeless know-how from the get-go and the Japanese bicycle component manufacture has been delivering tubeless road wheel options for over a decade. The durable Ultegra-level WH-RS500 wheelset adds to Shimano's current lineup and brings road tubeless to the masses is weighing in at just 1649 grams and built for rim brake use. First, a note on naming conventions. Though it's now got a serial model number, RS500, this wheelset is an updated version of the Ultegra hoops that Shimano partisans have been training on for years. They're lightweight, reliable, and tubeless-ready, making them an obvious choice for those spring base miles in questionable conditions. And speaking of questionable conditions, the machined brake tracks promise superior braking to carbon race hoops in all weather conditions. The 24mm deep rim profile ensures quick acceleration through low inertial mass and a comfortable, more compliant ride. At 20. 8mm external and 15mm internal width, the rims aren't quite on par with the behemoths we're seeing on gravel grinders, but the tubeless compatibility goes a long way to taking the sting out of chipseal when mounted with tubeless tires in the 25mm range. The front wheel is built to a high-tension on 16 stainless steel straight-pull spokes to deliver a responsive ride and increase aerodynamics. A 14mm oversize alloy axle increases stiffness, and we're big fans of Shimano's cup and cone bearing system, as it has proven to be easy to adjust and maintain. The rear wheel is laced with 20 spokes in a 2-cross pattern on both the drive and non-drive s...

SRAM Force 1 HRD Brake Lever & Flat Mount Caliper SRAM Force 1 HRD Brake Lever & Flat Mount Caliper
The SRAM Force 1 HRD Brake Lever & Flat Mount Caliper sets the trend for powerful braking and precise shifting at a more affordable price point than its top-tier Red counterpart. Force 22's functionality rivals that of Red, and swaps out the full carbon levers and titanium hardware for a carbon brake lever, aluminum shift lever, and stainless steel hardware that may tack on a smidgeon of weight but also saves your bank account a bundle. Force 22 HRD boasts the versatility to manage a rapidly rising flood of disc-equipped road, gravel, cyclocross and all-road machines. While the lever hood aesthetics may not appeal to everyone, we've found the additional height to be surprisingly functional when traversing the less traveled of roads. Navigating steep descents and chattery surfaces are a breeze with that bit of extra leverage and grip, which also nearly eliminates the possibility of your hands getting thrown forward off the hoods after a shocking encounter with a pothole hiding under smooth, loose gravel. The Force 22 HRD levers incorporate the adjustability and smooth shifting functionality we've come to expect from all of SRAM's higher end offerings. A slight redesign from the original version sees a more comfortable hood-top hand positioning, which is much appreciated on long gravel epics and through particularly tricky 'cross course segments. Adjustable reach accommodates a variety of hand sizes so you can further dial in the comfort, and a low initiation force makes for easy lever actuation and leaves more energy to drop into the pedals. SRAM Force 1 Hydraulic Disc Brake SRAM Force 1 Hydraulic Disc Brake
The SRAM 1 Hydraulic Disc groupset brings not one, but two major SRAM innovations to the table: the ingenious 1x11, single-chainring drivetrain platform, and road- and 'cross-ready hydraulic disc brake technology. Bolting 1 to your bike effectively turns your rig into a 'cross weapon, and the SRAM 1 Hydraulic Disc Brake system itself is a big part of how and why 1 is the most advanced groupset in cyclocross. To reboot its original road and cyclocross hydraulic braking systems -- which were already ahead of their time -- SRAM pulled apart every molecule of their anatomy to find room for improvements. The lever body, housing the reservoir and master cylinder, was reconfigured for more efficient internal spacing while at the same time boosting strength and stiffness, resulting in solid, consistent performance, regardless of braking or weather conditions. The master cylinder piston itself was also completely revamped, receiving an all-new bore design and new seals, after being subjected to thousands upon thousands of testing hours in every temperature and performance setting imaginable. The goal was absolute reliability, and the new system delivers. SRAM was far from finished with updates, however. The new higher-capacity fluid bladder -- the part of the system designed to maintain braking feel and consistency in compensation for pad wear -- was also redesigned to improve fluid flow, so your brakes feel as great brand new as they do after a season of racing. On the action-end of the line, the caliper spring was re-engineered for more even pad contact and smoother retraction, translating into a more consistency and control in hand, regardless of riding conditions. Finally, the shift paddles were trimmed slightly to be both lighter and more ergonomic, and cyclocrossers especially will appreciate the new shape that allows for greater clearance when wearing thicker gloves. The SRAM Force hydraulic system makes a few material substitutions compared to the top-shelf Red sys..

SRAM Force 22 Front Derailleur SRAM Force 22 Front Derailleur
The latest iteration of SRAM's Force 22 Front Derailleur boasts two properties that we typically don't see together: accommodating flexibility and unyielding stiffness. The derailleur's willingness to accommodate is the result of SRAM's Yaw technology, which has only just trickled-down to the Force level. Yaw is the equivalent of an auto-trim feature that keeps the derailleur cage aligned with the chain as it moves through the sprockets, making for a truly 22-speed groupset by virtually eliminating chain rub. The derailleur's stiffness comes courtesy of the aluminum and steel body. The incorporation of steel makes for an irresistible force to quickly shift the chain up or down without yielding valuable moments of response time while waiting for a flexing cage to finish throwing the chain--think of it as the opposite of the Close Door buttons on elevators. In case you get a little too overzealous with its stiff shifting, the Force Derailleur also features a removable Chain Keeper to help keep you from throwing your chain while shifting in response to an attack.

SRAM Force 22 GXP Crankset SRAM Force 22 GXP Crankset
Beyond the 22 gears, the Force 22 GXP Crankset draws heavily from SRAM's Red technology for more precision and power than before. SRAM lays up the cranks with unidirectional carbon fibers. When placed parallel to each other, the strength of carbon fiber is maximized so that the loads work along the axis of the fibers. This also means the amount of carbon used is able to be reduced, which in turn means greater weight savings. The unidirectional carbon decreases flex, which means every pedal stroke counts for a bit more. The spider it's mated to is a forged alloy that includes the spindle on the non-drive side. SRAM chose to use a 130mm diameter spider, which means you're able to use it with most aftermarket chainrings. Taking the standard a bit further, however, the mounting bolt has been incorporated into the backside of the crank arm. This reduces deflection and ensures no skipped front shifts. Trickling down from the SRAM Red group are the Exogram chainrings. SRAM uses its "True 22" X Glide R chainring calibration, ensuring no missed shifts. They are machined from 5mm 7075-T6 aluminum and specifically designed for the 11-speed system with optimized shift ramp profiles and stiffness.

SRAM Force 22 HRD Shift/Brake Lever & Flat Mount Caliper SRAM Force 22 HRD Shift/Brake Lever & Flat Mount Caliper
With disc brakes barreling towards dominance of even the pavement-covered frontiers, SRAM's Force 22 HRD Shift/Brake Lever & Flat Mount Caliper sets the trend for powerful braking and precise shifting at a more affordable price point than its top-tier Red counterpart. Force 22's functionality rivals that of Red, and swaps out the full carbon levers and titanium hardware for a carbon brake lever, aluminum shift lever, and stainless steel hardware that may tack on a smidgeon of weight but also saves your bank account a bundle.Force 22 HRD boasts the versatility to manage a rapidly rising flood of disc-equipped road, gravel, cyclocross and all-road machines. The post-mount calipers' two-piston design is specifically engineered to handle the rigors of cyclocross, which transfers effortlessly into confident brake performance on the road, gravel, and any other surface you see fit for skinnier-tire adventuring. Featuring stainless steel backed organic pads, these calipers are designed to pa...

SRAM Force 22 Hydraulic Disc Brake SRAM Force 22 Hydraulic Disc Brake
When SRAM's line of hydraulic disc road brakes hit the market, they shook things up, setting the new standard for what road brakes could do. SRAM, however saw some room for improvement. The brakes were torn all the way down, picked apart, and completely reconfigured for huge improvements in stopping power and reliability. SRAM started with the lever body, which houses the reservoir and master cylinder. It was redesigned for more internal spacing and a boost in strength and stiffness. The resulting performance is solid and consistent, regardless of weather conditions. The master cylinder piston was redesigned as well, in order to achieve absolute reliability. It succeeded. SRAM then redesigned a new higher-capacity bladder to improve fluid flow to give your brakes the ideal feel, whether you're riding them on day 1 or day 1001. The caliper spring was also redesigned for increased pad contact and smoother retraction. Finally, the shift paddles were trimmed to reduce weight and increase comfort.

SRAM Force 22 Rear Derailleur SRAM Force 22 Rear Derailleur
All the best things, from Tufnel's amp to SRAM's Force 22 groupset, are designed to max out at 11. The Force 22 Rear Derailleur is a key part of the new Force 22 drivetrain, and it gives you smooth, laser-guided 11-speed shifting under even the most demanding conditions. SRAM didn't design the Force 22 from scratch. To ensure precise shifting no matter the gear combination, it took the 1:1 Exact Actuation technology from its award-winning 10-speed Red groupset. This means that you'll pull the same length of cable in every shift, regardless of gear, so shifting stays super precise and adjustment free. More speeds means smaller gaps between gears, too, so each shift is lightning fast. Not content to update the shifting mechanism, SRAM also updated the pulleys and the materials used in the Force 22. The AeroGlide pulley system ensures super-smooth, quiet, and efficient pulley action, and a new elastomer coating reduces noise even further for a more pleasant riding experience. There's a new barrel adjuster, too, which lets you dial in micro-adjustments without the need for tools. As far as materials are concerned, the Force 22 is made from a combination of rugged aluminum, carbon fiber, and magnesium for the ultimate combination of stiffness, lightness, and durability.

SRAM FORCE Rear Derailleur WiFli- Medium SRAM FORCE Rear Derailleur WiFli- Medium
Other than the Double Tap shift lever, perhaps no component in the SRAM road component family represents a greater departure from familiar mechanical territory than the Force Rear Derailleur. It's a bit of a technical story, but it's one whose benefits are evident the first time you run through your gears: You'll experience crisper, more precise shifting than you've ever felt before. Virtually every rear derailleur you've ever used, pre-Force, was built around 3 springs: The B-position spring, the pivot spring, and the parallelogram spring. What SRAM learned as they developed their rear derailleur, though, was that a 2-spring system built with more powerful springs outperforms the 3-spring standard. By eliminating the B-position spring and fixing your derailleur's B-position in place, the Force derailleur better manages the gap between the guide pulley and your cassette cog. The stout strength of the springs is directly related to the inherent mechanical advantage of the Force Double Tap shifter. Strength requires strength, and it results in punchy, quick shifts. The other half of the story is SRAM's Exact Actuation technology. Most rear derailleurs pull slightly different amounts of cable depending on which end of the gearing spectrum they're in. You can feel this when the first few cogs of your non-SRAM system shift perfectly, and then the shifts are off. With Exact Actuation, the Force derailleur pulls the same amount of cable (and thereby moves the derailleur the same distance) with every click, no matter what gear you're in. Each click gives you a predictable 3mm of cable pull. Thanks to the 2-spring design and Exact Actuation, the Force rear derailleur is perhaps the most user-friendly derailleur we've ever seen. SRAM refers to it as "a more tolerant" derailleur, and practically speaking it means that it's easier and quicker to set up, it stays in adjustment longer, and it provides more accurate shifting even if you're riding a bike with thicker-than-nor...

SRAM's shifting prowess is one of its greatest selling points. The affordable PG-1050 10-Speed Cassette proves that you don't need to spend a fortune to get a stellar shifting experience. The PG-1050 uses SRAM's WiFli (Wider, Faster, Lighter) as the basis for its design. Using both an 11-36 and 12-36 option, you're given a full range of gears so you're never stuck doing that frantic "up, down, up" shifting to find something your legs like. SRAM uses PowerGlide technology to design the ramps and teeth to hold and release your chain for smooth shifting. The PG-1050 is built around an aluminum spider for the largest of the cogs to save weight. The cogs are nickel-plated steel, which keeps corrosion and rust at bay for a long life. The spline configuration means that it will fit any SRAM 9/10 speed freehub. It works well with any 10-speed chain, although SRAM touts the best shifting from its PC-1000 series chain.

SRAM Rival 1 Brake Lever SRAM Rival 1 Brake Lever
2016 witnessed a rebranding of SRAM's ever popular Force CX1 groupset as Force 1, and an expanded focus of one-by drivetrains for gravel and road applications. With that expansion, SRAM also introduced a Rival 1 drivetrain for those of us pining over one-by simplicity and looking for a more budget-conscious option. Boasting much of the same technology as its more expensive sibling, Rival 1 delivers exceptional functionality for cyclocross, road, and gravel excursions. While the SRAM Rival 1 Brake Lever weighs in a bit heavier than its carbon-endowed Force 1 counterpart, its forged aluminum lever brings with it a significantly lower price point without sacrificing SRAM's renowned precision--not to mention the improved odds of emerging from a one-on-one scuffle with gravel unscathed. The Rival 1 Shift Lever utilizes the same Reach Adjust technology found in SRAM's top-line offerings to provide a customizable reach distance, which keeps the lever perfectly in reach no matter your hand size. The hoods also feature ergonomic shaping for an extra bit of comfort over rough roads.

SRAM Rival 1 GXP Crankset SRAM Rival 1 GXP Crankset
With one-by drivetrains firmly established as a viable option in the mountain and cyclocross realms, SRAM is now in the process of expanding the one-by paradigm to the road with its Rival 1 group. The Rival 1 GXP Crankset sits at the center of the group to guide the chain through the pedal stroke with perfect lines and outstanding chain retention. While some of us at Competitive's office remain skeptical of a sole chainring's utility in more mountainous regions, others are eager to sacrifice a top-end gear or two for the weight savings and clean simplicity of the new options. Whatever the case, this setup certainly shows promise for riders living in less aggressive topographies and may be an ideal setup to ditch the front derailleur and save some weight for crits and time trials. The crank arms are fashioned from forged aluminum for efficient power transfer at a much lower price point than their carbon fiber counterparts. The chainring's teeth feature a distinctly tall, squared-off profile that catches the chain earlier and releases it later in the pedal rotation than standard triangular teeth, improving chain stability and retention. The teeth also have rounded chamfer edges to aid chain retention and minimize deflection. SRAM also keeps b-road adventures in mind by including recesses that help clear mud. The SRAM Rival 1 GXP Crankset is compatible with GXP-equipped framesets with 130mm and 135mm rear spacing.

SRAM Rival 22 11-speed Rear Derailleur SRAM Rival 22 11-speed Rear Derailleur
The SRAM Rival 22 11 Speed Rear Derailleur may be a touch heavier than its Force and Red siblings, but it sacrifices nothing when it comes down to performance, dependability, or durability. Its competition-proven design ensures exacting shifting no matter what the conditions. SRAM's Exact Actuation technology is actually a hand-me-down from its mountain bike groupsets. It designates a 1:1 relationship between shifter cable travel and derailleur movement. This simple index shifting helps to simplify balancing derailleur hanger design, tight cog spacing and cable tension to ensure fast, efficient shifting. The derailleur moves through the entire range of shifting via a 3mm movement from gear to gear. The derailleur was constructed from aluminum inner and outer cages as well as b-knuckle. Although these are slightly heavier than the titanium hardware and carbon cages used in the Force and Red Groups, they retain structural integrity and ensure durability. The SRAM Rival 22 11-Speed Rear Derailleur is available in both a Short and Medium cage version. The Short cage has a maximum rear cog capacity of 28tooth while the Medium is able to work with a 32tooth cog. It is available in the color Grey.

SRAM Rival 22 Front Derailleur SRAM Rival 22 Front Derailleur
It was only a matter of time before SRAM's fantastic, pro-level Red 22 and Force 22 drivetrains trickled down into the technological pool that would become the sport-level Rival 22 groupset. The SRAM Rival 22 Front Derailleur captures many of the same design features that make those more expensive derailleurs so great, only without breaking the bank. The most critical element to understand about SRAM's new 22-speed front derailleurs is what they call their Yaw feature. SRAM's Yaw means that the derailleur adjusts its yaw relative to the chain line. In other words, the derailleur cage rotates to align perfectly with the chain in any given position. This not only improves shifting accuracy and speed, it eliminates the need to "trim" the derailleur to prevent the maddening chain rub that can occur toward the back of the derailleur's cage, regardless of what chainring/cog combination you select -- a welcome improvement over virtually all previous drivetrains on the market. All of SRAM's 22-speed front derailleurs, including this Rival version, also feature the revolutionary integrated Chain Spotter, which protects against chain drop, against scratches, and against frustration. The Chain Spotter can be removed, or adjusted independently of the derailleur's position, so it's configurable to any frameset. The derailleur's steel cage is stiff, tough, and has precision alignment markings in the appropriate areas to help with proper installation. The SRAM Rival 22 Front Derailleur's cage has a silver finish, while its hardware and the Chain Spotter are black. It is designed exclusively for use with SRAM 22-speed X-Glide R chainrings and SRAM 22-speed shifters and drivetrain components. It comes only in a braze-on version, with clamp adapters available separately.

SRAM Rival 22 Hydraulic Disc Brake SRAM Rival 22 Hydraulic Disc Brake
The pioneer of road-ready hydraulic disc brake systems, SRAM is confident that taking a set for a spin will leave you wondering how you were ever satisfied with anything less. To be clear, the company will be the first to admit that its first generation of the brakes needed some refinement to be as great as they could be, but all bets are on this new 2015 stuff: leaner, cleaner, and as reliable as any mechanical braking system. The SRAM Rival 22 Hydraulic Disc Brake represents the entry-level price point into the road hydraulic game, but with all the performance of the more expensive systems intact. To reboot its original road and cyclocross hydraulic braking systems -- which were already ahead of their time -- SRAM pulled apart every molecule of their anatomy to find room for improvements and make them even better and more reliable. The lever body, housing the reservoir and master cylinder, was reconfigured for more efficient internal spacing while at the same time boosting strength and stiffness, resulting in solid, consistent performance, regardless of braking or weather conditions. Zipp 202 Firecrest Carbon Clincher Disc Brake Road Wheel Zipp 202 Firecrest Carbon Clincher Disc Brake Road Wheel
Zipp's 202 has earned its reputation as a light climber's wheel that can also descend and roll the flats with ease. The Zipp 202 Firecrest Carbon Clincher Disc Brake Road Wheel is the natural evolution of the venerable 202, aligning with the current trend towards disc-equipped road, gravel, and cyclocross whips and delivering Zipp speed and durability alongside the power of disc braking systems. The 202 Firecrest features Zipp's lowest profile rim with a 32mm depth for exceptional crosswind stability on exposed descents. A wide, 24. 62mm brake track accommodates a variety of tire widths to match different racing styles and surface conditions and provides a solid platform on which to mount your favorite tire. Zipp's wind tunnel testing shows that the 202's 32mm U-shaped profile cuts through the air on flat ground as efficiently as most other 45-50mm rims, with the added advantage of a feathery light claimed weight of 1,530g to fly away when the road turns skyward. Rail the course with confidence that these wheels will hold pace with the deep-dished aero setups and climb away like a mountain goat when the moment calls. The 202 also incorporates an updated version of Zipp's signature Aerodynamic Boundary Layer Control (ABLC). ABLC dimpling involves strategically placed and sized dimples spread across the rim surface to smooth airflow much like a golf ball. ABLC also boasts aerodynamic advantages at real-world yaw angles of 10 to 20 degrees, which compares favorably with many competitors whose minimum drag numbers at yaw angles of five to 10 degrees rarely occur outside of a wind tunnel. In less scientific terms, these wheels perform best in the windy conditions you'll actually encounter on the roads, not on paper. At the center, Zipp uses its updated 77/177 hub set, which has improved stiffness and durability over its predecessor. With a new platform and graphics for 2016, these hubs boast increased bearing protection over the previous versions and are ready to r...

Zipp 303 Firecrest Carbon Clincher Disc Brake Road Wheel Zipp 303 Firecrest Carbon Clincher Disc Brake Road Wheel
When Zipp set out to create a new disc wheel for the new generation of disc-equipped road and cyclocross steeds, it only made sense to build it on the 303 platform. The result is the 303 Firecrest Carbon Clincher Disc Brake Road Wheel. The 303 has long been a favorite around the Competitive offices for its ideal blend of aerodynamics and speed in a convenient clincher design. The new disc wheelset updates the steadfast 303 rims with a newly designed hubset and additional supporting spokes to perfectly complement your disc-brake equipped road and 'cross machines. The 45mm rim depth on the 303 wheels is better for lighter riders or for those who feel concerned about being buffeted by crosswinds. As they did on the 404 Firecrest rim shape, Zipp's engineers developed a new 303 Firecrest that moves the center of pressure in towards the hub, away from the outside edge of the rim. The tangible benefit is a marked decrease in the leveraging effect of stiff crosswinds on the steering axis -- you'll be able to ride more confidently and faster in blustery conditions. Despite their good manners in cross winds, the dimpled 45mm rims are still deep enough to offer serious aerodynamic advantages. In fact, the Firecrest is 8% faster than the last generation of 303s. Even with this marked increase in shear speed, the 303 Clincher Disc comes without much of an increase on the scales. The rims are laced to Zipp's updated 77/177 hubs, which enjoy improved stiffness and durability over their predecessors. Featuring a new platform and graphics for 2016, the hubs increase bearing protection over previous versions and are ready to roll without any pre-load adjustment. The rear hub is compatible with a separately sold XD driver body, opening up options for a larger SRAM one-by road cassette if needed. The driver bodies can be swapped out without having to re-dish the wheel, making it easier to get back out on the road. Each wheel includes Zipp's new quick-release skewer with a widened h...

Zipp 404 Firecrest Carbon Disc Brake Road Wheel - Clincher Zipp 404 Firecrest Carbon Disc Brake Road Wheel - Clincher
The 404 Firecrest Carbon Disc Brake Road Clincher Wheel is Zipp's answer to keeping this versatile and aerodynamic rim profile current with the shifting trends toward disc brakes for nearly all cycling disciplines. Whether you're looking to run even rim depth front to rear on your new disc-equipped steed or aiming to mix the dish, this wheel delivers confident speed and predictable handling no matter the conditions. The 404 is an ambitious rim profile designed to bring near-tubular feel to the clincher world, featuring an aerodynamic 58mm rim depth and a 16. 25mm internal rim width that gives the tire a solid platform to reduce instability caused by the side bulge effect found in tires mounted to narrower rims. It's not as wide as some of the exaggerated rim widths we're seeing more of every year, but it does sit in the sweet spot of ISO and ETRTO recommendations for 25mm tires. Zipp testing shows that the rim design creates a more stable overall structure while providing greater radial compliance for a comfortably controlled ride over rough road surfaces. The design also increases stiffness under load from hammering and cornering, making for snappy jumps and sharp lines through corners. Aerodynamics are a key element of the 404 Firecrest's versatility. It features an updated version of Zipp's signature Aerodynamic Boundary Layer Control (ABLC) dimpling, which uses strategically placed and sized dimples across the rim's surface to smooth airflow and reduce drag. ABLC boasts aerodynamic advantages at real-world yaw angles of 10 to 20 degrees. This compares favorably to wheels that hit low drag numbers at yaw angles of five to 10 degrees, conditions that rarely occur outside of a wind tunnel. In non-techy talk, that means these wheels are faster the competition in the windy conditions you'll actually encounter on the road. Zipp uses its 77 disc hub in the front and its 177 disc hub in the rear. Featuring a new platform and graphics for 2016, these hubs boast in...

Zipp 808 Firecrest Carbon Disc Brake Road Wheel - Clincher Zipp 808 Firecrest Carbon Disc Brake Road Wheel - Clincher
The tide shift towards disc brake equipped road bikes has seen in influx of riders looking for the same deep-dish, aerodynamic profiles found on their rim-disc whips and an echoing sound of crickets when assessing options. Zipp answers the call with its 808 Firecrest Carbon Disc Brake Road Clincher Wheel, bringing blazing speed and lightning quick stopping power to your next ride. The 808 profile is aggressively designed to slice through the wind. It utilizes Zipp's signature Aerodynamic Boundary Layer Control (ABLC) dimpling with strategically placed and sized dimples across the rim surface to reduce drag and smooth airflow, allowing the wheel to swoop through the air like a catnip-fueled kitten zooming after a fleeing mouse. ABLC boasts aerodynamic advantages at real-world yaw angles of ten to twenty degrees, compared to many wheels out there that feature minimum drag numbers at yaw angles of five to ten degrees that occur much less frequently outside of a wind tunnel. In more relatable terms, these wheels go faster and handle better than the competition in the windy conditions you'll actually see out on the road. In addition to blazing speed on the flats, the 808's modest weight means it'll survive any climbs you might encounter without any troubles. For the concurrent descents, or in the event of a technical course, the disc brakes ensure confident stopping power and modulation unrivaled by any rim brake system on the market. In the middle of it all, Zipp uses its 77 hub on the front wheel and its 177 hub on the rear for a silky smooth, friction-free ride every time you clip in. Featuring a new platform and graphics for 2016, these hubs boast increased bearing protection over their predecessors and are ready to roll without any pre-load adjustment. The rear hub is compatible with a separately sold XD driver body, giving riders options for a wider cassette range of up to a 10-42 if needed. As an added bonus, driver bodies can be swapped out without havin...

Zipp Service Course SL-70 Ergo Handlebar Zipp Service Course SL-70 Ergo Handlebar
Regardless of its renowned homage to carbon, Zipp realizes that aluminum is far from an outdated material. Whether you prefer it for peace of mind in the heat of the sprint or find the slight weight difference an easy way to keep your ultra-light bike above legal weight limits for your Cat 1 debut, the Zipp Service Course SL Ergo Handlebar showcases the best of aluminum's qualities -- strength, low weight, and relatively low cost. The Zipp SL Ergo handlebars are the replacement for the Zipp CSL bars. They were designed with Zipp's SSR (Super Short Reach) dimensions -- a 70mm reach means that it is easier for riders with shorter arms and smaller hands to reach the shifters while in the drops. These dimensions are the same as the SL-70 -- the primary difference is that the tops of the SL Ergo bars have been sculpted flat to provide a substantial platform for your hands during long climbs. The cables tuck nicely underneath. The drop angle of the bars is only 20 degrees. This allows you to position your levers in the 'high-and-Belgian' style or in the flat-top neo-pro style without having to rotate your bars skyward. The drops have a 2 degree outward bend for more wrist comfort, which also minimizes bruised forearms while sprinting. The Zipp Service Course SL Ergo Handlebars are available in 2cm increments from 38cm-44cm measured center to center, and each pair of bars fits a 31. 8mm stem. They come in two colors: Polished Black, a high gloss finish with white logos, or Beyond Black, a matte black with etched logos for a stealthy look.

Zipp Service Course SL-70 Handlebar Zipp Service Course SL-70 Handlebar
Aluminum is far from extinct as a high-end bike material. For example, many pros still rely on aluminum handlebars, whether it be for peace of mind or because having a more substantial bar is an intelligent way to meet the UCI minimum weight requirement without sacrificing ride quality. Regardless, the Zipp Service Course SL Handlebar makes the most of aluminum's beneficial properties -- it features a low weight, high strength, and a relatively low cost. All the while, the SL provides the same exquisite design detail that's found in Zipp's carbon fiber bars. The Service Course SL uses the same shaping for the Short-and-Shallow version as used in the SL Carbon Fiber Handlebar. It's built with round tops that taper downward in a smooth and constant manner from the 31. 8mm clamp area to a 24. 2mm diameter at the top bend. The drop angle is only 20 degrees. What's the net effect' You're able to position your levers in the high-and-Belgian style, and you'll get a smooth transition from the bar onto the drops. In addition to this, the Short-and-Shallow bar has a dual radius curve in the drops. So, you'll benefit from the longer, flatter hand surface. We're tempted to call it an anatomic bend, but be aware that the bend shape is, thankfully, subtle and not overly curvy like many anatomic bars of the past. The 84. 5mm reach, plus the short radius behind the clamp area, make it easy to get the crook of your hand 'locked' into position for a solid feel in the drops. This also provides a simplified reach to the brake levers. For the drop, the 128mm plunge makes the lower portion of the handlebars more accessible. Zipp also produces the Service Course SL in a Traditional Bend with an 87. 5mm reach and a 130mm drop. If you detest anatomic bars of any sort, but you're looking for a bar with a modest drop, then this is the bar that's best suited to your tastes. With a slightly steeper drop angle than the Short-and-Shallow version, this Traditional Bend will give you a bit ...

Zipp Service Course SL-80 Handlebar Zipp Service Course SL-80 Handlebar
You could pay top dollar for carbon bars and hope they don't break when you crank into a sprint or take a tumble, or you could trust your first-place finish and cockpit durability to the 7050 aluminum of Zipp's Service Course SL-80 Handlebar. They weigh only 60g more than Zipp's comparable carbon bars, and have a relatively short 80mm reach that makes the drops more accessible without needing a shorter stem, which can make the bike twitchy. The drop is also a moderate 125mm, so you don't have to be a circus performer to use them comfortably, and the rounded top of the bars provides a comfortable platform for your hands without torqueing your wrists.
