3T DiffLock LTD Seatpost - 0 Offset 3T DiffLock LTD Seatpost - 0 Offset
By replacing the heavier alloy head found on the lower-tier models in its family, 3T slims the DiffLock LTD Seatpost with 0 Offset down by a claimed 5 to 35g, depending on which model you're comparing it to. While calling aluminum heavy and celebrating such apparently trivial weight losses may seem a bit hyperbolic, the DiffLock LTD Seatpost represents one of the final, incremental upgrades toward lighter machine that an XC or enduro racer can take. One feature that the LTD shares with its heavier cousins is 3T's DiffLock adjustment system. DiffLock involves a series of interlocking splines that let you precisely dial your saddle angle in half-degree increments for a position as customizable as the seatpost is lightweight. It also requires minimal torque force, so your saddle is easy to adjust with a classic multi-tool. Since sliding it fore and aft won't alter the saddle angle, you can use the DiffLock's full range without worrying that adjustments will affect your preferred setup.

3T DiffLock Pro Seatpost - 0 Offset 3T DiffLock Pro Seatpost - 0 Offset
A seatpost is a pretty utilitarian component, but it still has to do its job well without creating issues. 3T's DiffLock Pro 0 Offset Seatpost gets it done with a tough aluminum alloy construction, zero-offset design, and 3T's unique DiffLock clamping mechanism. DiffLock's interlocking splines hold your saddle rails precisely to within half a degree for perfect alignment, and require minimum torquing force, so your saddle is easy to adjust, even mid-ride. Sliding it fore and aft won't alter the saddle angle, either, so you can utilize the DiffLock's full range without worrying that adjustments will affect your riding.

3T DiffLock Team Seatpost - 0 Offset 3T DiffLock Team Seatpost - 0 Offset
With 3T's precise DiffLock system and the carbon shaft's natural damping abilities, the Team Seatpost with 0 Offset helps reduce saddle discomfort and smooth trail chatter to a consistency as buttery soft as the gravy in your family's classic casserole recipe. This gravy train doesn't come with a weight penalty, though. Compared to the aluminum Pro model, the Team seatpost drops a claimed 30g for that final weight loss advantage when all other avenues have been exhausted. The DiffLock adjustment system incorporated in the Team's alloy head features interlocking splines that let you precisely dial your saddle angle in half-degree increments for a position on par with the most comfortable of comfort foods. It also requires minimal torque force, so your saddle is easy to adjust with a classic multi-tool. Since sliding it fore and aft won't alter the saddle angle, you can utilize the DiffLock's full range without worrying that adjustments will affect your preferred setup.

3T Ionic 0 LTD Seatpost 3T Ionic 0 LTD Seatpost
The 3T Ionic 0 LTD seatpost keeps rider weight forward for quick, precise handling and a more aggressive pedaling position. This high-modulus carbon fiber seatpost also absorbs road vibration to reduce fatigue and increase comfort on long rides. 3T used a blend of lightweight and durable carbon and aluminum for the construction of the Ionic. For the shaft, 3T used ultra-stiff high-modulus carbon, which blends low weight, stiffness and comfort. Although stiff, carbon also helps to dampen the vibration from rough roads. The high modulus carbon is 3T's top-of-the-line carbon. Atop the post, 3T uses it sophisticated Difflock seat clamp. This is a single-bolt clamp was built from alloy and it is compatible with saddles that have 7mm round rails. The splined design of the clamp makes setting saddle angle and setback simple and it requires only lightweight clamping to ensure that the saddle is secure.

3T Ionic 0 Pro Seatpost 3T Ionic 0 Pro Seatpost
Purists and old-schoolers alike often fall back on aluminum's proven performance in areas of the bike where strength is absolutely critical. 3T's Ionic 0 Pro seatpost is identical to the Team version in every way, except that it features an alloy shaft. Instead of the carbon used in the Team, Ltd, and Stealth versions, the Pro Ionic seatpost utilizes a full aluminum alloy construction. It gains a few grams, 30 to be exact, but maintains the robust feel of carbon. Atop the post, 3T uses it sophisticated Difflock seat clamp. 3T Ionic 25 Ltd 3T Ionic 25 Ltd
We find it a bit ironic that 3T's Ionic 25 Ltd seat post is made out of lightweight carbon. After all, the original Ionic columns were cut from nearly immoveable slabs of stone and marble. This new seat post embeds classic 3T design with its Difflock technology to create a new standard in, what is sure to become, classic seatpost design. Constructed from alloy and carbon, this Ionic 25 Ltd features 3T's high modulus carbon for the seatpost itself. It is designed using 3T's Clean Sheet design, which means that the way it is formed makes optimal use of the carbon weave sheets and their individualized properties. High modulus carbon fiber has a higher strength to weight ratio than standard carbon, yet it still functions to dampen vibration from rough roads. Placed on top of the carbon post is 3T's proprietary Difflock seat clamp. Unlike most clamps that require extreme flexibility and inventiveness to loosen two bolts and properly adjust the saddle, the Difflock features a single bolt. The saddle is easily adjustable for both angle as well as fore-aft position with the turn of a single hex bolt. The carbon fiber 3T Ionic 25 Ltd seatpost comes in two diameters: 27. 2 and 31. 6mm. Each diameter is available in two lengths: 280 and 350mm. It's color scheme is black with a grey stripe.

3T Ionic 25 Pro 3T Ionic 25 Pro
The Ionic seatposts by 3T are a new series that feature its proprietary Difflock seat clamp. The Ionic 25 Pro features a robust and sophisticated design that is ideal for the rider who needs a more rearward position on a shorter frameset. The entry level Ionic 25 is called the Pro. It was constructed with aluminum alloy construction for the entire seatpost and clamp assembly. While this adds a few grams (35 to be exact) to the overall weight of the post, it makes up for it in price. The setback is 25mm, which gives riders a more relaxed position and is also an ideal compromise on a frame with a more aggressive seat tube angle. Sitting on top of the post is 3T's Difflock saddle clamp. This is a single bolt clamp that allows for quick and easy adjustment of both saddle angle and fore-aft position. The hex key both is easy to reach and you're able to adjust for setback without disrupting seat angle. The 3T Ionic 25 Pro seatpost comes in two widths: 27. 2 and 31. 6mm. Stiff, light, and reliable, the 3T Ionic 25 Team Seatpost scoots you back 25mm in the cockpit to give you a liiitle extra reach if things are feeling a little bit cramped. It uses a Difflock single-bolt clamp, made of rugged aluminum alloy, to lock your saddle in place while allowing for easy adjustment without changing the seat angle as you move the saddle. The post itself is made of carbon fiber which, it goes without saying, is stiff, light, and strong, so it won't weaken or flex under load, and you won't lose any power that should be going into the pedals.

3T Stylus 0 LTD Seatpost 3T Stylus 0 LTD Seatpost
The zero setback of 3T's Stylus 0 LTD Seatpost may lack the compliant comfort of the 25mm setback version, but its uncompromising position moves your hips up -- much closer to centered on the bottom bracket. This means you can harness your engine's power more efficiently while sitting in the saddle's more comfortable cradle rather than up on the far less forgiving nose. Some cyclists may prefer to maximize comfort and stability with a setback post, but if pure power is your game, then zero setback is the only option. Both the post and the clamping plate are monocoque, high-modulus carbon fiber, which puts weight loss above all else -- including cost -- in order to maximize on the watts you're pouring into the road. All told, its claimed weight of 150g for a 31. 6 x 280mm model brings the Stylus 0 LTD in at just 75% of the Stylus Team's weight, making it the lightest model in 3T's line. The two carbon pieces are joined with the new Stylus clamping system, which secures the saddle with two bolts situated just inside of either saddle rail. This design more effectively distributes load pressure, which is a must for clamping carbon to carbon -- especially if you're clamping carbon rails. Despite its all-comers ease of use, we do recommend using a torque wrench tuned at or below the max suggested torque of 10Nm while tightening the Stylus 0 LTD's twin bolts. This tolerance is relatively high for any cockpit component, and we're especially impressed given that -- unlike the carbon post and alloy clamp of the Team model or the Pro model's all alloy construction -- the LTD pits carbon against carbon. That high tolerance speaks volumes about not only 3T's carbon fiber expertise but the confidence the Italian company has in the durability of its high-modulus carbon fiber, which is unique to the LTD model.

3T Stylus 0 Pro Seatpost 3T Stylus 0 Pro Seatpost
In designing the Stylus 0 Pro Seatpost, 3T wanted to create a "fresh new take on the 2-bolt seatpost," which is exactly what was accomplished with this post's clamping interface. The sleek design provides a solid, lightweight base for mounting your saddle, and it's built with the attention to minute details that 3T is known for. The Stylus 0 Pro Seatpost's shaft is constructed from a lightweight and durable shot-peened aluminum. Long a staple material choice among professional cyclists for its durability, aluminum also provides low weight and smooth riding characteristics. Atop the post, 3T adds its refined 2-bolt alloy head. This new finned clamping interface is where the post really shines, as 3T spent considerable time getting both the look and functionality just right. The alloy head features a rearward 'swoosh' that was modeled after the classic single-bolt designs of the good old days, keeping that traditional aesthetic alive. The two clamping bolts were placed on either side of the saddle-support cradle, resulting in a secure, stable clamping interface that's easy to adjust. The zero setback model accommodates all the puncheurs who prefer an aggressive positioning in favor of being set back, allowing them to easily get forward on the saddle and down in an aerodynamic position.

3T Stylus 0 Team Stealth Seatpost 3T Stylus 0 Team Stealth Seatpost
Italian component manufacturer 3T built a company around small, hardworking parts that we take for granted every time we ride -- after all, we never head out on a ride with a spare seatpost. The Stylus 0 Team Stealth Seatpost is part of 3T's newer line of zero setback seatposts, offering a sleek clamp interface that's a purposeful departure from the traditional 2-bolt design and that will add only a claimed 195g to your setup. The post is made with carbon fiber to help absorb fatiguing road vibrations, and the aluminum head's rearward 'swoosh' design is a nod to the classic single-bolt seatposts of decades past. 3T positions the clamp bolts on either side of the saddle to add stability to the design and to make quick adjustments easy. With zero setback, you'll save weight and gain a more forward position on the bike, making it easier to access your drops or aerobars when you want to ride in an aerodynamic position.

3T Stylus 25 Team Stealth Seatpost 3T Stylus 25 Team Stealth Seatpost
A new addition to 3T's setback post collection, the Stylus 25 Team Stealth Seatpost brings a "fresh new take on the two-bolt seatpost" to the company's line with a sleek new clamping interface that sets it apart from other offset posts. This integrated design provides a solid, lightweight base for mounting your saddle, and it relies on the same proven materials and craftsmanship we associate with all things 3T. The Stylus 25 Team Stealth blends a carbon fiber post and refined 2-bolt alloy saddle clamp with 25mm of setback for more vertical compliance and added stability on fast descents as compared with the zero offset model. The new, finned clamping interface is where the post really shines though, as 3T spent considerable time getting both the look and functionality just right. The alloy head features a rearward "swoosh" that was modeled after the classic single-bolt designs of the good ol' days, keeping that traditional aesthetic alive. Bike Yoke Revive Dropper Seatpost Bike Yoke Revive Dropper Seatpost
In the well saturated dropper post market, it takes something special to make a new offering standout. Bike Yoke's Revive Dropper Seatpost does just that. The Revive represents such a different take on dropper post functionality that Bike Yoke may as well have called it the Departure--as in, a departure from what we've come to expect. Namely, dropper posts that operate with an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) design, which is used to keep oil and air separate in the hydraulic system. If your dropper has ever inspired trail-side expletives, chances are good that IFP is to blame. It's a notoriously finicky design because of the precise tolerances and hydraulic babysitting required, both of which will often manifest as stuck or outright unresponsive droppers. The Revive throws off the burdensome IFP yoke in several ways. First, it literally eliminates the IFP. Second, it cuts the number of dynamic seals in half compared to the three most common dropper models, going from four to two. The result is a simpler system that doesn't require the precise tolerances and perfect seals of the typical IFP design, so it just works better because, well, it just works. And it keeps working without the issues inherent in IFP designs gumming up the works. If there's one drawback to the Revive, it's that, without the IFP keeping them separate, there's more of a chance that air and oil will mix. This can generate a bit of give when the post is extended, but Bike Yoke has the solution. Its Revive Valve lets you "bleed" the post with nothing more than a 4mm Allen key and a bit of pressure on the saddle. That's it. On the trail, in the garage, outside of the bike shop, in the bike shop, in the bike shop with an Allen key you borrowed from the bike shop because you lost your multi-tool--anywhere, anytime. It's the simplest bleeding process we've ever experienced.

e*thirteen components TRS Plus Dropper Seatpost e*thirteen components TRS Plus Dropper Seatpost
Not only does the simple act of raising and lowering your saddle make riding more fun, but it's also become a crucial part of enduro racing. So, it makes sense that the three main focuses of the e*thirteen components TRS Plus Dropper Seatpost are ease of use, reliability, and then, of course, durability. With a no fuss, no muss design, the install for the TRS Plus seatpost is quick and easy thanks to the lever-clamped cable, and a simple, fully mechanical design. Then, saving you frustration, a heat-treated, cable actuated cam reliably and consistently locks the post into one of four positions. Coil sprung means less maintenance than air sprung posts with a smooth, consistent return speed every time for the life of the post, which ultimately saves you money and aggravation. Capping off this design with a fantastic lever, the ingenious cable design seals out the elements and pivots on sealed ball bearings, and puts the cable lug at the seatpost so disconnecting the cable is a snap.

Easton EC90 Setback Seatpost Easton EC90 Setback Seatpost
Light isn't good enough anymore. While the Easton EC90 Setback Seatpost is certainly one of the lightest posts on the market, it's also designed to last. To be direct, it's designed to be both tough and light. Increasing the toughness doesn't begin with overbuilding it but instead, recognizing the enemy of longevity -- impatient bike mechanics (you or your local shop rat). It happens when someone slams a seatpost clamp shut rather than taking the time to back off the fine-adjust nut on the opposite side of the clamp lever. When you overzealously clamp a carbon seatpost, you risk overloading the "pinch" zone at the back of the post, where the seat tube is cut to allow it to flex and clamp the seatpost. Too much clamp force narrows the focus of the clamp on this one area. To avoid any possibility of mashing your EC90 Carbon Seatpost, Easton came up with what it calls Relief Area Design, RAD for short, and you'll see it deployed on the brand's seatposts as well as steerer tubes on their forks. RAD works by simply eliminating material at the zone where that imbalanced force would normally pinch (this is the flat edge you see on the back of the seatpost). This helps to spread the clamping load more broadly across the circumference of the tube. Easton's EC90 carbon is of course their top grade, and the material is even used on both the upper and lower plates of the clamp assembly where it attaches to the seat rails. While "full carbon" posts are increasingly common, Easton uses a very stable, two-bolt clamp design that echos one of the most venerable posts ever made, the Thomson. Both rely on long clamp zones and highly adjustable through-bolts. The Easton EC90 Setback Seatpost has a uni-directional Matte Carbon finish. It is 350mm in length and comes in 27. 2, 30. 9, and 31. 6mm diameters.

Easton EC90 Zero Offset Seatpost Easton EC90 Zero Offset Seatpost
With composite technology continually being pushed to the limits, we're always on the verge of the next component boasting a 'lighter and more aerodynamic' design than was previously thought possible. And while we're all for these attributes that seemingly dominate our current world of cycling, we're equally concerned with the durability of these featherweight products. This couldn't be more true for cockpit componentry, and it seems that Easton is right on track with this way of thinking. With its new EC90 Zero Offset Seatpost, Easton hit the drawing board with a focus on low weight and durability. In fact, it's the lightest post in Easton's lineup (200g in a 31. 6mm), but with a few exclusive technological innovations, it's also one of the strongest due. Easton built the EC90 carbon post with both its Relief-Area Design (RAD) and TaperWall technology. TaperWall is a manufacturing technique that applies more carbon to the wall surfaces of the post, where stiffness is paramount. Meanwhile, less material is applied to areas requiring more compliance. For the EC90, this means that you get a thinner aft portion of the post, which creates a more compliant, comfortable ride quality. However, the thicker sides provide an enhanced level of rigidity and a strong resistance to torsional flex. The RAD technology works directly with the TaperWall, essentially flattening the rear section of the post. In addition to this eliminating unnecessary weight, RAD prevents the gouging and scoring that often occurs on round posts from the binder bolt/clamp assembly. In addition to the post itself, Easton's top grade EC90 carbon material is also used on both the upper and lower halves of the clamp assembly. This all-carbon system securely encloses your saddle's rails using a hidden two-bolt design. Not only are fine-tune adjustments made easy, but you also retain a clean aesthetic and solid aerodynamics with the two 4mm clamping bolts staying tucked away and out of view. The Ea...

ENVE Twin Bolt Seatpost - 25mm Offset ENVE Twin Bolt Seatpost - 25mm Offset
Even so subtle a change as new shoes can affect your cockpit setup, as a thicker or thinner sole means your pedal force is being applied from a slightly different angle. For cyclists who tailor their fit for each individual discipline and event, the adjustability and carbon construction expertise that ENVE builds in to the Twin Bolt Seatpost means it's strong and light enough for road and trail, easy to install, and intuitive to adjust via the titular Twin Link hardware. The Twin Link mechanism itself comprises two bolts that govern the movement of two wedges, which are twin peaks of adjustability that lock your saddle in place with a 0 to 27 degree range of tilt. The mechanism doesn't require tortured angling with a wrench to reach under the saddle where Allen keys fear to tread. Rather, the bolts are on either side of the clamp, sitting well below the saddle rails so you can adjust them with your preferred tool. For kit this nice -- not to mention to protect carbon rails -- we recommend the reliable restraint of a torque wrench.

ENVE Twin Bolt Seatpost - Zero Offset ENVE Twin Bolt Seatpost - Zero Offset
Despite all evidence gathered from the aerospace industry, F1 racing, and the WorldTour, some cyclists may still have lingering doubts about the viability of ENVE's signature item, carbon wheels; however, there can be no questioning both the benefits and risk-free nature of the Utah-based manufacturer's latest foray into the realm of black fiber, the Twin Bolt Zero Offset Seatpost. Given the impact ENVE has had on wheels, we can only assume the Twin Bolt will sign post the future of cockpit adjustability. The Twin Bolt benefits from all the advances of ENVE's strict carbon construction ethos. Given what these methods did for the advancement of carbon wheels, you can imagine the benefits to a seatpost: strong enough for road or trail, lightweight, easy to install, and intuitive to adjust via the Twin Link hardware. The Twin Link mechanism itself comprises two bolts that govern the movement of two wedges in order to adjust the saddle's angle from 0 to 27 degrees, locking your ride in place at your preferred setting. KS LEV Dropper Seatpost KS LEV Dropper Seatpost
Not only does the KS LEV Dropper Seatpost offer the reliably smooth travel that makes KS dropper posts some of the most popular on the market, but it also shaves precious grams with its titanium clamp bolts, carbon lower clamp, and carbon remote lever. Reducing weight even more, its PowerCordz cable is 75% lighter than the stainless steel line that's used on most dropper posts. The rest of the post is made of aluminum for durability. As expected from a high-quality dropper, the LEV Dropper Seatpost uses hydraulic internals that remove play/excess movement from its design. However, most impressive is the stationary connection near the non-moving part of the post. This provides a better fit that's customizable to your frame without the cable bunching up or getting in your way, as there's no need for the excess cable to accommodate seat movement.

KS LEV DX Dropper Seatpost KS LEV DX Dropper Seatpost
Whereas a true XC Mountain bike puts you in a more aggressive position, a lower, slacker stance keeps you from going head over tail on rocky downhills. The KS Lev DX Dropper Seatpost not only transforms your XC into an all-mountain goat, it also takes your full-suspension to another level of downhill riding. The LEV DX takes its cues from the more expensive LEV to provide smooth, uncompromised performance. The fixed cable box at the lower collar is its trademark and it allows the cable to remain in one position reducing the risk of it getting snagged or caught in your rear suspension. Although it doesn't feature the popular stealth routing, this design allows for more customization of the cable placement. Additionally, the LEV DX uses a one-way roller bearing to clamp the inner post, ensuring that there is no play in your saddle. It is topped with a zero-offset head to allow for minute saddle adjustments for the perfect ride. While the LEV DX doesn't have the carbon lever actuator of the LEV, the handlebar mounted remote is easy to operate and may be mounted in several positions, including on an ODI lock-on grip.

KS LEV-272 Integra Dropper Seatpost KS LEV-272 Integra Dropper Seatpost
If a dropper post isn't already a key feature of your XC setup, you're already behind the times. Invest in all the hyperlight cassettes, carbon frames, and lighter-than-air wheels you want, but you'll still get left in the dust when you hop off in the middle of a ride to raise or lower your seat. It follows that the KS LEV-272 Integra Dropper Seatpost is the most effective time saver you can buy. Made from lightweight and burly aluminum, it has an internally routed cable to prevent twisting, breaking, and catching, and KS's patented one-way roller clutch bearing, which provides infinitely adjustable settings and eliminates the side-to-side play common with most dropper posts. On top, the seat rail clamp has two angled bolts for micro adjustments and increased strength, while the handlebar remote is designed to replace the inner ring of an ODI Lock-On grip for a streamlined and comfortable assembly. The Integra's braided cables are rugged and reliable, and come with barrel adjusters to help you dial in the correct tension for reliable and precise seatpost adjustments without the fuss.

Magura USA Vyron eLect Dropper Seatpost Magura USA Vyron eLect Dropper Seatpost
Dropper seatposts are soaring in popularity, and the days of an internally-routed design being enough to garner attention from the public are slipping into the past. In the race to improve upon an already great invention, Magura has secured the distinction of being the first company to release a wireless dropper post with its Vyron eLect Dropper Seatpost. Using proven ANT+ technology, the Vyron eLect is compatible with the same remote that Magura uses with its wireless suspension forks and shocks. If you're already riding with a wireless Magura fork and shock, you can use one remote to control all three components or choose to separate them and use multiple remotes. With the remote able to be mounted on either side of the bars, you have plenty of options for customization to take advantage of a one-by drivetrain's left shifter vacancy or fit it in a crowded cockpit. The eLect still relies on rider weight to actually move up and down, with Magura's imperial Royal Blood hydraulic fluid providing a smooth transition as you lower and raise the seat to adapt to changing terrain. In terms of battery life, Magura states that a full charge will gain you 400 actuations of the dropper, which equates to about two months for most riders. If you happen to be caught on the trail during your 400th engagement, the seatpost does work for up to 20 "emergency" actuations via buttons on the post itself, so you aren't stuck riding your last climb of the day with your knees bumping into your chin. Once you need to recharge, expect about three hours for the eLect's battery to make its way from empty to fully charged in any USB port.

Pinarello Dogma F8 Zero Setback Seatpost Pinarello Dogma F8 Zero Setback Seatpost
Early photos of Froome's matte-black prototype F8 frame revealed just about everything that's available on the "stock" version, minus a few choice components reserved for the likes of Team Sky riders. Such is the case, or should we say was the case, with his neutral Air8 seatpost. Well that's not the case anymore, as the Dogma F8 Zero Setback Seatpost has officially arrived. Made with the same FlatBack tube shaping that the F8 frame employs, this Air8 post wears an ovalized frontal section paired with a rather truncated back half, which was done to create a vacuum that eliminates turbulence. A full carbon construction gets paired with a two-bolt carbon seat clamp, further ensuring weight remains as low as possible. The Pinarello Dogma F8 Zero Setback Seatpost is available in either a Gloss or Matte Carbon version, and it is only compatible with the Dogma F8 frame. PNW Components Rainier Dropper Seatpost - Internal Routing PNW Components Rainier Dropper Seatpost - Internal Routing
PNW Components developed the Rainier Dropper Seatpost with Internal Routing for greater levels of reliability, smooth operation, and easy servicing in mind, so you can spend more time riding your favorite trails and less time messing with a finicky dropper post. It's available in a wide range of dropper lengths, from the shorter 80-millimeter options for endurance and XC riders, all the way up to 125-millimeter versions for dedicated trail enthusiasts seeking a greater drop across technical terrain. The Rainier Dropper lacks an adjustable air preload, which means its return speed isn't adjustable and it's a bit heavier than others on the market. However, before you run off to look at the competition, PNW Components actually scraped this design feature due to its increase in manufacturing costs, as well as its tendency to become sticky, due to the tiny tolerances needed to make adjustable air preload work. Instead, PNW Components uses a spring for the preload, which keeps its overall cost very affordable and reduces overall maintenance for less hassle on the trail. Its sealed damping cartridge consists of a two-stage damping unit that uses both air and hydraulic fluid, resulting in a nice, smooth rate of return--without having to constantly check on air pressure while riding. Not only is it very reliable, but it's also incredibly fast and easy to service, as the whole damping unit pulls out without much hassle. This is great, as there's no open bath of fluid and no replacement seals for easier servicing at the shop or home. One of the last impressive features with this dropper lies in its ability to virtually eliminate play in the seat, which has incessantly plagued droppers since inception. PNW Components eliminates side-to-side play with their "Spin-Stop" technology. This innovative feature employs a keyed slider, with an inner portion with machined slots locking into the stanchion's brass keys, thereby eliminating the side-to-side motion experienced with othe...

Profile Design Fast Forward Aluminum Seatpost Profile Design Fast Forward Aluminum Seatpost
Consider the cat out of the bag -- a forward body position is ideal for both triathlon and time trial. However, we don't all have bikes with 78 degree seat tube angles, do we' Well, lucky for us all, Profile Design created the Fast Forward Aluminum Seatpost to alleviate this problem. The Fast Forward Aluminum features a 38mm offset, meaning that it moves your riding position 38mm forward. So, for a real world example, the Fast Forward will make a 73 degree seat tube angle more like a 78 degree seat tube angle. Accordingly, you're able to achieve a more forward position, limiting the required stretch that's necessary for the TT body position. Additionally, it creates a direct drive of power to the cranks, while reducing pressure and stress to the perineum region. For the the construction, Profile Design employed the lightweight and durable 6061-T6. Accordingly, the Fast Forward only tips the scales around 300 grams without sacrificing anything to strength or rigidity. The Profile Design Fast Forward Aluminum Seatpost is available in the color Black and fits both 27. 2 and 31. 6mm diameters with included shim. Please note that this seatpost features a length of 265mm and 38mm of offset.

Profile Design Fast Forward Carbon Seatpost Profile Design Fast Forward Carbon Seatpost
We're sure that by the point you reached this page, you've spent multiple seasons refining your time trial position on the bike. And, over the course of this trial and error, you've realized that the more forward your position is on the bike, the more efficient your ride becomes. However, the governing bodies that be have placed uncompromising restrictions on your saddle position, which is why Profile Design created the Fast Forward Seatpost to skirt around the rules. The Fast Forward Carbon (FFC) features a 38mm offset, meaning that it moves your riding position 38mm forward. So, for a real world example, the FFC will make a 73 degree seat tube angle more like a 78 degree seat tube angle. Accordingly, you're able to achieve a more forward position, limiting the required stretch that's necessary for the TT body position. Additionally, it creates a direct drive of power to the cranks, while reducing pressure and stress to the perineum region. For the construction, Profile Design employed a multi-directional carbon fiber in order to maintain a low overall weight (210 grams in a 27. 2mm size) and to assist in vibration absorption. And for durability, Profile built the head of the FFC from forged 6061-T6 aluminum. The Profile Design Fast Forward Carbon Seatpost is available in the color Black and in both 27. 2 and 31. 6mm diameters. Please note that this seatpost features 300mm length and a 38mm offset.

RockShox Reverb (B1) Dropper Seatpost RockShox Reverb (B1) Dropper Seatpost
On the outside, the RockShox Reverb (B1) Dropper Seatpost looks remarkably like its revered predecessor. On the inside, however, it hides a host of updates for improved functionality with modern mountain bikes. The big news is that it's available with travel-specific post lengths and in a wider range of travel options. With the current crop of superbikes and versatile all-mountain machines, expanded travel options mean that even taller riders will have the range to manage all manner of terrain. The Reverb's story has been completely rewritten, including redesigned internals and updated travel options. It features new host of SKF internal seals, and repositioned bushings help deal with the issue of slacker seat tubes occasionally thwarting the action of the old Reverb. The latest model features overlapping bushings that not only smooth the post's travel on enduro machines, but also increase that smoothness' longevity. It's not so smooth that it results in undo give though, so you won't suffer any mushiness from the post jogging 5mm under impact. The hydraulic actuator system returns virtually unchanged. When we first heard that the Reverb employed a hydraulic remote, we were dismayed at the thought of bleeding a seatpost. However, the Reverb has proven to be so smooth and reliable that its hydraulic remote has come to be one of our favorite features. And while the competition's cable actuated posts seem simpler on the surface, clumsy levers and gummed-up cables have made us thankful for the Reverb's buttery, push-button actuation, and the reworked internals mean that we'll be enjoying that action for much longer.

RockShox Reverb Stealth (B1) Dropper Seatpost RockShox Reverb Stealth (B1) Dropper Seatpost
Don't make the mistake of thinking the Rock Shox Reverb Stealth (B1) Dropper Seatpost has been sitting comfortably for all of these years, content to rely on its name and impressive legacy rather than change with the times. While you've been barreling through rock gardens and earning a few new scars on your old Reverb, RockShox has been quietly overhauling the Reverb Stealth's design. This year, it unleashes some serious changes like travel-specific post lengths and a wider range of squish options to bring it up to speed with the discipline-bending enduro monsters multiplying by the day on the trails. The expanded post lengths and travel options are good news for taller riders who find the range offered by traditional lengths to be slightly lacking on either end of the spectrum. RockShox didn't just adjust sizing for taller riders, though. Gleaming new internals stand at the ready inside the seatpost, complete with SKF internal seals keeping the grit out as well as rearranged bushings. The repositioned bushings mean that slacker seatposts won't interrupt travel anymore, and you'll experience a smooth glide, rather than a jump, every time you engage the remote. RockShox couldn't find room to improve the already impressive cable routing on the Reverb, and the clean design remains reassuringly unchanged for this model. Free of excess cables and complicated fitting, the Stealth's cable runs subtly through the internal seatpost routing space most modern frames are now built with, but a mechanic can adapt an older frame by carefully drilling a hole. Mount the hydraulic actuator on either side of the bars, and in exchange for a few regular bleedings, you'll enjoy supple actuation ride after ride.

It's no secret that the RockShox Reverb Stealth (B1) Dropper Seatpost is the most popular dropper post on the market, being omnipresent in the mountain bike community due to its silky-smooth actuation and revised internals for reliable operation. This particular version, the Reverb Stealth (B1) Dropper Seatpost w/1x Remote, comes with an ergonomic 1x remote for light and precise actuation with the flick of your thumb. It mimics the shape of SRAM shift levers, residing next to your front brake lever for riders with a 1x drivetrain. MatchMaker X cleans up your cockpit by attaching it to the same clamp as your SRAM brake lever while Bleeding Edge fitting makes periodic maintenance a breeze. The rest of the Reverb Stealth (B1) Dropper remains the same--a good thing if you're seeking a wider range of travel options, especially for taller riders seeking a greater drop on aggressive downhill sections. Gleaming new internals (over the previous version) sport an SKF internal piston design, while rearranged, overlapped bushings keep out grit. These re-positioned internals mean that slacker seatposts won't create travel interruptions, so you'll experience a silky-smooth glide, rather than a jump every time you engage the remote. Stealth routing is unchanged from the previous model, giving you the option to route the cable through compatible frames for a cleaner overall aesthetic.

Thomson Dropper Seatpost Thomson Dropper Seatpost
While a foray into hydraulic systems may seem a stretch for Thomson, which has always made static parts, keep in mind the manufacturer is first and foremost an aerospace contractor. That means that, while it would seem that Thomson is starting behind companies like Fox and RockShox, who have been manufacturing hydraulic parts for years, Thomson is actually ahead of the learning curve--and the Thomson Dropper Post makes this point obvious. The only part that the Dropper shares with its siblings is the much-loved saddle clamp. The post uses an oil cartridge to control height and a nitrogen shock to lift the mechanism. Because oil doesn't compress, the post stays put wherever your posterior leaves it, for an infinite range of adjustment. The last 15mm of travel (at the top) is damped, so your body isn't on the receiving end of a hard smack.

Zipp Service Course Seatpost Zipp Service Course Seatpost
Zipp's innovative, low-profile clamp provides a wide range of adjustments to both angle and for-and-aft position. This adjustment range makes the Service Course Seatpost suitable to a wider range of riders and lets you dial your fit and feel. That isn't the only feature that sets the Service Course Seatpost apart, however. Zipp engineers paid special attention to the length of the clamp assembly. On the lower portion, it's designed to be a bit longer than what you might see on other seatposts. Essentially, this is to support the saddle rails if you favor to ride at the rearward position. And in this day and age of super-light rails, we view any extra insurance against damage as a welcomed friend. For this iteration of the Service Course, the seatpost forgoes carbon fiber in favor of a one-piece, 3D forged design. If you pay close attention to the Grand Tours, you'll notice that this is a reoccurring trend in the peloton. The reason is simple. For the cost of a few grams, the seatpost becomes stiffer, stronger, and more comfortable that its carbon fiber counterparts. In fact, we find that road vibration is better dispersed, while power is better conserved during seated exertions.

Zipp Service Course SL Seatpost Zipp Service Course SL Seatpost
By using a single piece, forged head and shaft instead of bonding separate units, Zipp was able to make its Service Course SL Seatpost even more Super Light. The titanium bolts also contribute to weight loss, and the fact that they're easily reached from below means that you can simply adjust your saddle position once it's installed. The clamps themselves feature a low profile which provides more clearance and a wider range of fore/aft adjustment.

Zipp SL Speed Seatpost Zipp SL Speed Seatpost
The Zipp SL Speed Seatpost has taken Zipp engineering a step further, and the result is a seatpost that is 35 grams lighter than the Service Course, with the same durability. The SL Speed features the same adjustable, low-profile clamp system as is popular on the Service Course. It is a two-bolt system that provides adjustment both fore and aft and in the tilt of your saddle. You'll also notice that the lower portion of the clamp is beefier than other seatposts on the market. This provides extra support for those riders who prefer a more rearward position. Meanwhile, the post itself is carbon. The main difference, which is a big one, is that the SL Speed uses carbon fiber for the construction of the post. Not just a cosmetic change, the carbon keeps the weight of the post under 190 grams and also gives you a ride that dampens road vibration and chatter. While many carbon posts feature a low maximum rider weight, the maximum weight for the SL Speed is 300lbs. The saddle sits on carbon and titanium rails for performance longevity and additional vibration dampening.
