4FRNT Skis Blondie Ski - Women's 4FRNT Skis Blondie Ski - Women's
Skiing isn't supposed to be serious--it's about having a good time, and the 4FRNT Women's Blondie Ski is all about letting your hair down and getting wild whether you're sending it in the park or doing some all-mountain shredding. Light and playful, yet solid on the hardpack, the Blondie sports a traditional camber profile, an easy to maneuver cap construction, and tight turn radius that loves to link turns down the frontside.4FRNT also built the Blondie with its ContourCore technology, which moves the weight of the core back about 5cm to give the ski a more centered feel for female skiers that tend to drive their skis from the hips. The Blondie sports a light and nimble shape with just 85mm underfoot in a 167cm length, meaning this ski is easy to spin and even easier to roll from edge to edge when you're rallying back down to the base area.

4FRNT Skis Hoji Ski - Women's 4FRNT Skis Hoji Ski - Women's
Realizing that big-mountain-ripping gals were digging what the Hoji had to offer, 4FRNT decided to tailor a lady-specific model that maintained all the original's hard-charging nature, but with a more female-friendly construction: behold the Hoji Women's Ski. Don't think 4FRNT dumbed down the guys' version, though, because this lady still checks in at an identical 112mm underfoot, and in lengths ranging from 171cm to the Ullr-sized 187cm. Outfitted with progressive, smooth-turning ReflectTech technology, the Hoji's rocker radius matches the sidecut to eliminate tip hook in powder for smooth edging and predictable carving, and the fully rockered profile maintains legendary float in deeper-than-deep conditions, making these skis capable of slaying the steepest and deepest lines you care to point them at.The only real difference between the guys' and gals' Hoji is the ContourCore. Ladies tend to drive their skis from the hips, not the chest, so 4FRNT moved the core's center of mass back about five centimeters to give the women's Hoji better balance and allow a more natural stance. This lets you milk the energetic and strong Hi-Lite poplar and ash core for all it's worth, while the fiberglass laminates keep the ski stiff on edge and the VibeVeil laminate reduces chatter, tip flap, and vibration. ABS sidewalls underfoot provide bomber edge hold and the semi-cap construction tapers towards the tips for decreased swing weight and maneuverability, and the sintered carbon base lets you rally like a race car without worrying too much about dinging a shark tooth on your way back to base.

4FRNT Skis Madonna Ski - Women's 4FRNT Skis Madonna Ski - Women's
The 4FRNT Madonna Women's Ski eats up the spotlight (and the mountain) with its combination of traditional camber, tip and tail rocker, and women-specific core design, so you can shred, slash, and even throw down a dance move or two. She's smooth as silk on groomers and off piste, with a tapered rocker that's matched to the sidecut for smooth, easy turning that's aggressive when you want it to be and easy to control at slow speeds. If you're not too busy busting moves down the mountain, you can take a second to dig the women-specific ContourCore, which has a center of gravity that's been moved back 5cm to better complement a more centered style of skiing, so you won't spend your runs struggling to stay out of the backseat. It makes for more enjoyable, easier skiing and helps to reduce backward falls so you spend more time ripping down the mountain instead of gathering up your gear after taking a tumble.Inside the Madonna, a combination of stiff ash and energetic beech gives the ski a stable but pliable nature, and fiberglass laminates give it some added pop and stability. 4FRNT also incorporated a Semi-Cap ABS sidewall construction which offers up the dual benefits of a sidewall's durability and a cap's light weight, making the Madonna an all-mountain champion that's not afraid of the occasional spin in the park. 4FRNT also hooked it up with a slick sintered base and full-wrap metal edges for increased speed and durability, respectively.

Black Crows Atris Birdie Ski - Women's Black Crows Atris Birdie Ski - Women's
There's an enduring belief that ripping ladies need to ride men's skis, but that's not entirely the case. While the Black Crows Atris Birdie Women's Ski has a lot in common with the men's version, it's been tweaked for gals, and it hasn't sacrificed any of the stability or aggressiveness that made the original such a champ. It boasts a bomber semi-cap construction with underfoot ABS sidewalls that taper down to a cap at the tips and tails, which helps the Birdie stay aggressive and stable without feeling lifeless or heavy. The sidewalls work with the cambered underfoot section to serve up plenty of hardpack bite and variable-snow stability, and the rockered tip and tail live to float through pow, smooth out chunder, and throw down giant slashes when the going gets soft. Black Crows also designed the Birdie with tapered tips and tails, so it won't hang up and send you flying when you're pushing the speed limit down soft, open lines. All this gnar is predicated on the Birdie's lively, energetic, and smooth-flexing poplar core. It gives the ski a playful feel, and it's also been laid up with several layers of multi-directional fiberglass to provide torsional stiffness and a more powerful, aggressive nature when you're charging hard. Black Crows softened the flex up slightly to better suit lighter riders, shortened the radius up slightly to make navigating tight spots and skiing at slower speeds more predictable, and even moved the recommended mounting point a few centimeters forward, so it's easier to find a balanced, aggressive stance without feeling like your skis are running away underneath your feet.

Black Crows Camox Birdie Ski - Women's Black Crows Camox Birdie Ski - Women's
The thing about birds is they very rarely fly in a straight line--they like to squiggle, slash, and bounce around, which is obviously a lot more fun. The same could be said for skiing, which is why you'd rather treat the mountain like your own personal playground, rather than some strict boarding school where fun isn't allowed. Luckily, Black Crows shares your free-as-a-bird philosophy and built the Women's Camox Birdie Ski, so you can squiggle, slash, bounce, and even straightline as much as you damn well please. The Camox Birdie has been in production for a few seasons now, but it has been redesigned with more rocker in the tip and tail, along with a semi-cap construction that puts ABS sidewalls underfoot that step down to a cap construction in the tip and tail. All this adds up to a ski that's more playful and forgiving, but is still plenty stable to ski fast in variable conditions. The mid-fat waist will float the occasional boot-top powder and rolls quickly from edge to edge when you're skiing groomers or hardpack. Mild camber underfoot gives the Camox Birdie the edge hold it needs to be considered a true all-mountain ski, while fiberglass laminates add the torsional rigidity you need to really open them up down wide-open groomers and wind-buffed slopes.

Black Crows Captis Birdie Ski - Women's Black Crows Captis Birdie Ski - Women's
The Black Crows Women's Captis Birdie Ski is simply captivating to ride, whether it's down early-morning corduroy or late-afternoon crud. This ski is particularly well suited to beginner or intermediate skiers looking to up their game, from first jumps in the terrain parks to that dreadful double diamond at the resort's highest mountain. Its versatile mid-wide waist works with the tight sidecut to assure quick edge-to-edge transitions and hard carves. The Captis sports a classic camber underfoot for enhanced edge control on firmer snow, while the double rocker tip and tail adds maneuverability and pivot control to variable conditions. Just because there's a men's version of the Captis doesn't mean Black Crows gave this version a simple shrink-and-pink process; it actually has a poppier poplar core with a softer flex for a female-friendly ride. Triaxial and biaxial fiberglass laminates make this ski responsive and rigid, and durable ABS sidewalls keep the mid-section sturdy while the capped tip and tail reduce weight.

Black Crows Navis Birdie Ski - Women's Black Crows Navis Birdie Ski - Women's
Having a ski for never-evers and beginners is nice and thoughtful, but it's not really Black Crows' MO. The Chamonix-based setup likes to build boards that go fast and big, and their women's skis, like the Navis Birdie Ski, are no exception. A slightly tweaked version of the men's Navis, the Birdie is a reasonably traditional all-mountain charger that's been tweaked in a few key spots to make it a little more versatile and fun. Wanting to blend stability with quickness, Black Crows built it with a semi-cap construction, which employs ABS sidewalls that taper to a cap construction towards the tip and tail, giving you tons of edge bite underfoot with a quick, poppy feel in the extremities. This construction works in concert with the "single beak and a half" rocker profile--progressive tip rocker, camber underfoot, and a slightly raised tail--to give the Navis a solid feel in variable snow, float in pow, and quickness in tight spots, so you can really rally the whole mountain without sweating the small stuff. To lighten things up for smaller riders, Black Crows built the Navis with a poplar wood core, which is light and energetic, and laid it up with multiple layers of fiberglass to keep things stable as a table when you're maching through chunder or hitting big lines at high speeds. The tip and tail have gentle taper, which prevents them from hanging up when you're riding in soft snow, so you can milk pow slashes like it's no big deal. The Birdie also has a slightly softer flex than the men's Navis, and Black Crows built it with the recommended mounting point a little bit forward, so you don't have to fight to stay aggressive and in the front of your boots.

Blizzard Cheyenne Ski - Women's Blizzard Cheyenne Ski - Women's
The nimbler, more hard snow oriented little sister of the Black Pearl, the Cheyenne Women's Ski is the narrowest offering in Blizzard's Women's Freeride line, but that doesn't mean it can't handle a little bit of trailside fluff. While it has traditional camber underfoot for edge grip and turning power, both the tip and tail feature a decent amount of early rise, so intermediate ladies will be able to cruise through fresh snow without worrying about their tips diving in and sending them flying. Rocker also makes it easy to disengage the tail, letting you make short, slashy turns in softer snow and control your speed like you were born on two sticks. When you're tearing up groomers, the vertical sidewalls and torsion-resistant sandwich construction provide plenty of power and edge control, so you can expand your speed horizons with confidence. The light, lively wood, bamboo, and ISO-wood Flipcore has also been specially pressed to compliment the sidecut and rocker profile, giving the Cheyenne a smooth, consistent flex pattern that engages easily and won't give you any sudden surprises.

DPS Skis Nina 99 Alchemist Ski - Women's DPS Skis Nina 99 Alchemist Ski - Women's
That sparkling patch of rock-solid ice you hit after boosting off the cat track is proof enough. Luckily, the DPS Women's Nina 99 Alchemist Ski doesn't care much for glitz and glamour--it rolls up its sleeves whether you find stashes of champagne powder or nothing but bumps and bulletproof. With an agile yet floaty 99mm waist width and a damp, powerful full-carbon core, the Nina boasts formidable versatility in variable snow conditions and serves as a steadfast daily driver for early season hardpack and steeps, playful days poaching pow-day leftovers in February, and spring corn harvesting. But it's not just the waist and core that bring balance and power to this all-mountain charger. DPS utilizes its trademark 3-D PaddleTech Geometry to sift out the golden nuggets from every ski day. When you're carrying speed on firm snow, a slightly cambered 18-meter underfoot turn radius sinks its teeth in for smooth, confident carves, and when there's fluff to be found, the gradually rockered paddle tip lends levity. And after a bell-to-bell day getting down and dirty on technical terrain, the Nina suggests you get your gold and glam fix with a glass of bubbly enjoyed in a location where you can scout your lines for tomorrow.

DPS Skis Nina 99 Pure3 Ski - Women's DPS Skis Nina 99 Pure3 Ski - Women's
El Nino might be the preferred weather pattern of most skiers, but even The Boy doesn't guarantee you'll spend the whole winter living in dumptown. When you're ripping variable conditions, with boot-deep blower one day, manky leftovers the next, and crusty groomers for a few days after, the DPS Nina 99 Pure3 Women's Ski is the tool you want. It's based on DPS' Yvette ladies' pow ski, but DPS slimmed the Nina down to 99mm underfoot to give it more all-year all-mountain awesomeness. It didn't change the legendary Pure3 construction, though, so the Nina still rocks a lightweight and super-energetic aspen core that's sandwiched between two layers of prepreg carbon fiber, giving the ski a highly stable and edgy, but still playful, feel. UHMW sidewalls help prevent torsion, or twisting, which means the Nina has great edge grip on hard snow and can be skied aggressively without folding up or feeling flimsy and scary. DPS didn't do anything crazy with the sidecut or camber profiles of the Nina, either. There's a generous amout of powerful and grippy camber underfoot that's balanced out with mellow rocker in the tip and tail, so you can take your adventures off piste without burying your tips into soft snow or getting locked into a turn that takes you straight into a tree. The raised tail lets you scrub speed, throw your skis sideways, and make quick turns like it's no big deal, and DPS' Paddle Tech sidecut profile blends the sidecut down to almost nothing a the contact points, so you can make all sorts of turn shapes without feeling like the Nina has a mind of its own. It's finished off with bomber steel edges hardened to 48 Rockwell, and World Cup bases that provide plenty of zip and durability, perfect for seasons of all-mountain adventuring.

DPS Skis Yvette 112RP2 Pure3 Ski - Women's DPS Skis Yvette 112RP2 Pure3 Ski - Women's
The DPS Women's Yvette 112 RP2 Pure3 Ski is an undiluted all-mountain charger with the chops to plane through pow, smash crud, and rail down groomers til the lifts cease to spin. The Yvette may borrow dimensions from DPS' award-winning Wailer, but this women-specific ski is anything but a, "shrink it and pink it," kind of job. Looking under the hood, the Yvette features the Pure3 Carbon + Nano sandwich construction, which consists of an aspen wood core, full UHMW sidealls, and a carbon fiber laminate--this makes the Yvette both 30 percent lighter and torsionally stiffer than traditional boards.Paddle Tech geometry enables the Yvette to effortlessly float through deep fluff, while a heavily rockered tip makes for easy planing and schmearability in deep powder. Camber underfoot and a moderately sized waist offers plenty of float and maintains a good amount of maneuverability once conditions turn variable. You might expect the Yvettes to tip the scales in the wrong direction with their full side walls, wide profile edges, and World Cup race bases, but with a weight just under seven pounds, they remain light and nimble whether you're slarving through the trees inbounds or making hop turns deep in the backcountry.

DPS Skis Zelda F106 Foundation Ski - Women's DPS Skis Zelda F106 Foundation Ski - Women's
As immune to a siren's call as you may be, there's no denying the tantalizing allure of fresh snow--something that the bewitchingly fun DPS Skis Women's Zelda F106 Foundation Ski comprehends very well. Designed for female rippers who like to indulge themselves in a little bit of everything, the Zelda boasts a women-specific mounting point, which not only makes for a more savory and powerful skiing experience, but also means you don't get thrown uncomfortably into the back seat. Though, much like its male counterpart, the Zelda adapts to a plethora of terrain, so you're able to cruise through the resort or tour up yonder into the backcountry. Now, this information is all good and fun, but without a little proverbial moisture and colliding ice crystals, it's all just empty promises instead of coldsmoke. Starting with its 106mm width waist and partial twin tip construction, the Zelda crushes powder and crud alike, so you're not left hanging out to dry when you're unsure as to what the upcoming season brings (especially considering the last was all like "to snow or not to snow"). To further reinforce the Zelda's adaptability, the rocker-camber-rocker construction is complemented by a tapered, flatter sidecut (DPS' paddle tech design) that encourages smooth and effortless turn engagement--one that's quickly finished off by a smooth exit. And while most skis with the aforementioned rocker type would leave you chattering over varied terrain like a wind-up toy that's had too much caffeine, the Zelda is fashioned with a damping, bi-phase bamboo and poplar core that ensures a responsive and powerful feel underfoot. Not to mention, the ski's textured topsheet, unidirectional carbon, and triaxial fiberglass laminates assure hard-wearing durability, so you're left wondering whether or not your skis were on the butt-end of some crazy voodoo trick by the end of the season. However, if you're worried about your need for speed being catered to, fear not: the Zelda is finished off w.

Dynastar Cham 97 2.0 Ski - Women's Dynastar Cham 97 2.0 Ski - Women's
Dynastar's Cham series blew freeriders out the water last year, and it's back this winter for a second go round, along with a few tweaks that make it even better. The middle child of the Cham sisters, the Cham 97 2. 0 Women's Ski provides a balanced blend of hard and soft snow shredability, with a 97mm waist, underfoot camber, and moderate rocker in the tip and tail to let you float and slash through soft snow. Dynastar cut the Cham with a five-point sidecut, which allows smooth and easy turning on hardpack and in powder, and gave the tip and tail significant taper, so you don't have to fight a hooky, grabby feeling when you're tearing up deep days. The Cham's light and energetic paulownia wood core gives it a lively and nimble feel so you can snake through trees, pop from edge to edge, and bounce off terrain features with minimal effort. Dynastar forewent metal, so the ski is light enough to take into the backcountry, but laid down a layer of fiberglass over the core for increased torsional stiffness, durability, and strength. This helps you utilize the solid bite of the full-length sidewalls to make short work of hardpack, so you can slash turns when the going gets powdery and still rail groomer turns on your way back to the lift.

If you've ever stared longingly into the park from the groomers and wished you could duck in without having to go home and grab your other skis, listen up. The guys don't have to choose between up-for-anything all-mountain boards and something they can jib and pop their way through the park on, and neither should you. To give the Prodigy versatility befitting its name, Faction started with a thoroughly all-mountain 96mm waist, then it added rockered tips and tails and camber underfoot. It's got a balsa and flax core that blends poppy responsiveness on playful pillow lines with dampness for stability on stubborn, days-old chop. Looks don't say much of value about a ski, but when your planks ski like these do, a stellar topsheet is the extra few inches on top of the storm day. Your turns won't be the only thing earning you nods of approval when you're ripping around the resort on the Supertonic, and Faction's decision to use a gloss lacquer means those pretty topsheets will stay that way for more than just a few off-piste turns. Faction uses its Tech Rocker to give you springy camber underfoot countered by rockered tips and tails that'll surf their way through soft stuff and power through sludge without getting hung up. At 107 underfoot, the Supertonic can handle chop and chunder as comfortably as mid-deep storm days, and for smaller ladies, even the really deep goods. Faction's P-Tex 4000 bases will keep your crew choking on your roostertail while you race them down the mountain to the real-life beer stash.

Head Skis USA Big Joy Ski - Women's Head Skis USA Big Joy Ski - Women's
There are two ways to make a ski light: you can either cut corners to cut weight, or you can incorporate new technologies and careful designs to shave ounces while actually enhancing the ski's performance at the same time. Head opted for option number two when it made the Big Joy Women's Ski, resulting in a big-time powder ski for gals who might not weigh enough to drive a stiff plank designed for dudes. Don't think the Big Joy's is some kind of wimp; it sports an aggressive Allride Rocker (traditional camber with a rockered tip) so you can crush hardpack in addition to float over powder, and it has a superlite sandwich cap construction that combines the weight-saving benefits of a cap with the power and torsional rigidity of sidewalls.Since it was designed for lighter riders, the Big Joy's camber profile has been mellowed out, making it easier to use every millimeter of camber without getting bounced around by too much rebound. Head tailored the rocker, rebound, and turn radius to work in concert with what it calls it ERA 3. 0 technology for a smooth, powerful, and predictable ride. The lively wood core is laminated with Graphene, a carbon laminate that's just one atom thick and 100 times stronger than steel, to provide an unbeatable combination of strength and lightness. Add in a tough and speedy UHM C base, and you'll be hard-pressed to wipe that goofy grin off your face after a long day of crushing big lines and deep pow.

The good times don't have to end with the smooth-flexing and lightweight K2 Fulluvit 98 Ti Ski on your feet. Rail down groomers, charge through crud, and blast down tight chutes and tree lines with this versatile all-mountain plank. Then do it again the next day thanks to its lightweight core that will keep your legs fresh and ready to go day after day. It's no secret that K2 builds skis for some of the burliest big mountain skiers out there, but it may come as a surprise that it develops women-specific skis with specialized cores, weights, and flex patterns to better suit female skiers. How does K2 do it' Well, it starts by using a combination of lightweight woods (aspen, paulownia, and a ultralight nanolite material) then it redistributes weight to the perimeter of the ski--this reduces swing weight while maintaining the power, strength, and stability hard-charging ladies will appreciate. Next comes layers of fiberglass with a metal laminate to give the ski a torsionally stiff and damp feel, which is exactly what you want if you plan on spending the majority of your time screaming down frontside groomers and laying down turns on the hardpack. The Hybritech sidewall construction combines both the power of sidewalls with the reduced swing weight of a cap ski, so you get the best of both worlds.

The Remedy's been totally redesigned for better soft-snow performance, with an All-Terrain Rocker that features a rockered tip and tail for improved float in powder, along with camber underfoot for reliable hardpack and crud-busting performance. K2 Remedy 112 Ski - Women's K2 Remedy 112 Ski - Women's
The K2 Women's Remedy 112 Ski is the widest ski in K2's women's line, so it can handle powder, but it won't shy away from mixed snow or the occasional groomer, either. Built from the ground up for ladies who like to rip, the Remedy's not just a guy's ski that's been renamed and given different graphics; it can charge, but it's designed for lighter riders, so you can push the speed limit without feeling like you've strapped onto a bucking bronco with a mind of its own. Triaxial braided fiberglass wraps around the Bioflex aspen, paulownia, and bamboo core to give you serious torsional strength and stability without sacrificing any of the liveliness and pop that you'd expect to find in a wood-core ski. The core's also built to be nice and light, so you can get a little jibby if you want and shimmy your way through tight trees without expending all your energy to get through a turn. The generous 112mm waist and All-Terrain Rocker lets you float effortlessly through powder, though the traditional sidecut and underfoot camber allow this ski to perform better in variable conditions than you might expect. In case you find yourself riding these beasts in low snow conditions, the TwinTech sidewall helps to keep you from experiencing any nasty blowouts and sending you to the shop for costly repairs or worse.

This moderately sized all-mountain ripper will gobble down freshies, blast through chop, and rail down groomers with speed. Thintip technology shaves 100 grams of weight from the tip and tail, making turn initiation effortless and reducing their overall swing weight. Additionally, the hybrid Capwall construction blends the snappy feel of a cap ski with the power and durability of a full sidewall ski. And, sintered bases mean you won't have to call it a day when you graze a few rocks, and their directional flex delivers a soft and playful tip and a stiff tail for power and stability for when you're arcing big turns back down to the base.

Rossignol Soul 7 HD Ski - Women's Rossignol Soul 7 HD Ski - Women's
Most everyone fancies themselves a big-time freerider these days, and while these folks are busy chasing glory, making POV edits, and telling everyone at the bar how rad they are, there are plenty more skiers who are more worried about seeking out soft stashes and secret tree lines. The Rossignol Women's Soul 7 Ski isn't the biggest, burliest, or hard-chargingest ski out there, but it's the perfect tool for skiers who like to ski hard all over the mountain, and are more worried about having fun and skiing well than going Mach 7 and stomping 60 footers. Rossi's 7 Series has been around for years now, starting with the game-changing S7, and the Soul 7 keeps things pretty true to the "fun-shaped" heritage of that ski. The Super 7 and Squad 7 are bigger and burlier, but the Soul 7's 106mm width and versatile Power Turn Rocker help it conquer any type of snow and all types of terrain, from deep blower to leftover crud to wind-buffed cream cheese to groomers. Power Turn's large amount of tip splay smooths out rough snow and helps you float through the deep, and the camber underfoot provides plenty of stability and edge grip when you're pinching the throttle on the way back to the lift. Rossignol also incorporated its honeycomb Air Tip technology, which lightens the tip to reduce the chatter and flap of old-school tip rocker and lowers swing weight to keep the Soul 7 nimble through tight trees and in the air. By building the core out of lightweight Paulownia wood, Rossignol kept the Soul 7 quick and maneuverable, and it reduced the weight to make it more backcountry friendly. The new Soul also has a slightly more squared-off tail, which allows easier skin attachment. Vertical sidewalls are also new on this year's Soul 7, which give the ski a bit more edging power and a more hard-charging look. And, while it's nice and light, the race-inspired Carbon Alloy Matrix in the core keeps things stiff enough to charge when you're feeling aggressive.

Rossignol Super 7 HD Ski - Women's Rossignol Super 7 HD Ski - Women's
The endless succession of floppy, boring powder skis is enough to lull you to sleep instead of psych you up for serious shredding, but the lively, strong, and high-powered Rossignol Women's Super 7 HD Ski is a giant WAKE UP slap right across your dozy mug. The latest offering in the game-changing 7 Series, the Super 7 is revamped from last year and ready to lay down huge pow slashes, stomp cliffs, and rally though chunder like it's late for something.Rossignol's original S7 pioneered the "fun shaped" powder ski and set the standard for friendly powder skis, and while its influence is still there in the Super 7's slight pintail and gently tapered tip, the Super is a different, more aggressive beast than its forebear. The S7's easiness made it feel noodly when you drove it hard, but the Super's light and snappy paulownia wood core is beefed up with Carbon Alloy Matrix, which give it a stiffness and torsional stability that beg to be driven hard, not gently shimmied through mellow trees. Rossignol's Minicap Sandwich construction combines the stiffness and edginess of sidewalls with the smooth-turning and lightweight properties of a cap, so the Super 7 feels like a beefy sidewall ski when you're pushing it through crud and down big lines, but it moves with the agility and ease of a capped board when you're zippering tight tree lines or ripping soft post-storm bumps.Tip and tail rocker combined with underfoot camber isn't exactly groundbreaking these days, but it doesn't have to be because it works so damn well. Rossignol pressed the Super 7 into a profile it calls Powder Turn rocker, which features a section of reasonably mellow camber underfoot for hardpack performance and pop, along with rockered sections in the tip and tail that let you slash big turns, powerslide when you want to, and generally make short work of deep, soft snow. To fix the tip chatter that plagues many rockered skis, Rossignol incorporated a honeycomb material into the Air Tip to reduce mass a...

Rossignol Temptation 100 Ski - Women's Rossignol Temptation 100 Ski - Women's
If you spend your time on the west coast, mobbing through day-old powder, ripping steep lines, and charging the occasional groomer, you'll fall head over heels with the Rossignol Temptation 100 Women's Ski. It's an all-mountain crusher, to be sure, but at 100mm underfoot, it's bigger than a lot of east-coast powder skis, so it won't feel out of its depth if the flakes start to pile up. It might not be the most versatile ski in Rossignol's all-mountain lineup (that honor probably goes to the Temptation 88), but the Temptation 100 is easily the most comfortable in deep, uneven snow and at high speed. It sports the same Auto Turn Rocker as all of Rossi's all-mountain rippers, with camber underfoot for edge grip and a gently rockered tip and tail to make short work of boot-deep powder, tight trees, and rough storm leftovers. The sidecut's been extended, too, to provide more edge contact when you lay the ski over without sacrificing the ability to pivot quickly when you keep it flat, so you can rip groomers one lap and slice your way through glades the next. Although she has a titanal laminate to help her open up the throttle and charge, the Temptation is a surprisingly nimble ski, thanks in large part to the snappy, lively poplar core that's stiff enough to be driven hard and light enough that it won't ever feel like it's in charge. It uses Rossignol's trademark Air Tip construction to keep weight down and eliminate the tip chatter that can be a problem for rockered skis, and is built with a hybrid Minicap sandwich construction, which combines cap and sandwich designs for a top-shelf combo of edge hold and lightness. If you split your time between off-piste and on, and can't wait for the deeper days, the Temptation 100 is likely to take the top spot in your quiver.

Volkl 100Eight Ski - Women's Volkl 100Eight Ski - Women's
What do you imagine when you think of an all-mountain freeride ski' About 105mm underfoot, maybe, with flat or traditional camber underfoot, a gently rockered tip, probably a sheet of metal somewhere, and a flat tail to help you rail turns like a locomotive, right' That's all accurate, unless you're thinking about Volkl's brand new 100Eight Women's Ski. Sure, it has a 108mm waist that's comfortable mobbing through power, blasting through chop, and dicing up sections of hardpack, but the rest of the ski isn't really what you'd consider traditional. For starters, it's fully rockered--you read that right--which isn't really what you'd expect. It also features a carbon stringer construction, along with 3D Ridge design, which isn't found anywhere outside of Volkl's lineup. So yeah, it's a little different. OK, how does a fully rockered shape work for a ski that's designed to do it all' By being combined with a host of other design features, that's how. While the rocker helps the 100Eight float through pow, smooth out choppy snow, and make short work of wet 'n' heavy mank, the carbon stringer construction employs a strong, energetic, and torsion-resistant combination that allows you to put plenty of power into the ski's edges without worrying that they'll be flimsy or unstable. The multi-layer wood core features burly ash underfoot for stability and edging power and springy poplar towards the tips and tails for a lively, quick, and energetic feel that helps you scoot through tight trees, pop off terrain features, and open it up when the mountain allows. The core construction is also designed to work with Volkl's new 3D Ridge construction. Basically, Volkl created a raised center section fore and aft of the binding and tapered it dramatically towards the edges, which gives the ski unreal edge-to-edge quickness and smooth flex without adding weight or sacrificing stability. Combined with the moderate taper found in the tips and tails, 3D Ridge gives the 100Eight a ridic...

Volkl 90Eight Ski - Women's Volkl 90Eight Ski - Women's
Yeah, you've heard it all before: the unwavering promises of versatility, but nine times out of ten those do-it-all skis simply come up short--until now that is. Say hello to coldsmoke and goodbye to the mirrors with a little help from the Volkl Women's 90Eight Ski. Touting a design that's legitimately based in all-mountain fun, the 90Eight features an adaptive 98mm width waist that'll go to mow-town on bumps, sashay through groomers, and float pow like a grade A yacht on the sea. Oh, and don't forget about those nuggets of spring time slushy joy, the 90Eight easily maneuvers those without skipping a beat. Now, simply because it's a women-specific ski doesn't mean it's been the victim of the pink-and-shrink laser beam of doom. Boasting the same design as its twin brother (just in an overall lighter package), the 90Eight features Volkl's 3D Ridge construction, which brings the bulk of material to the center of the ski, resulting in reduced swing weight. Though, Volkl does this without actually sacrificing the ski's damping and stability at speed. Additionally, the early taper sidecut eases turn initiation for an easy, playful feel when it comes to hunting down pow stashes or making tight turns through technical features. The multi-layer wood core encompasses the character and flex of the ski, which, since its a Volkl, is inherently stable at speed, and is packed with plenty of power to bust through crud, without even batting an eye.

Volkl Kenja Ski - Women's Volkl Kenja Ski - Women's
The Volkl Kenja Women's Ski is a fun-loving, all-mountain ski that indulges in the occasional pow and relishes ripping down front side groomers, no matter how many diamonds are on the trail sign. A skinnier version of the more powder-hungry Aura, the Kenja checks in at 90mm underfoot, making it significantly friendlier on the hardpack than its big sister, without giving up the necessary float to enjoy the freshies. Volkl made sure to include a rockered tip and tail, which will smooth out any bumpy rides, plane through powder, and make turn initiation a simple act of thought. Although it's buttery smooth to ski, the Kenja has the chops to open things up courtesy of a titanium laminate sandwiched to the multi-layer ash and poplar core. The ash is located underfoot to improve torsional stiffness, while the light and flexible poplar provides pop and playfulness in the tip and tail. Volkl built the Kenja with its full sidewall construction that consists of vertical sidewalls for durability and serious grip when you're looking to crave up some groomers. When versatility is paramount, look no further than the Kenja.

Volkl One Ski - Women's Volkl One Ski - Women's
Charging hard, well it's not a gender thing. It's a powder-loving, sweeping turns, and endless hoots-and-hollers kind of thing. So when push comes to shove, reach for the Volkl One Women's Ski: a powder-hounding, big-mountain devouring tool that can hold its own just about anywhere on the mountain. The One checks in with a 116mm waist that's plenty wide enough to slay all but the snorkeliest powder days, and has a 23. 5m turning radius in the 176cm version, so you can really open it up on big, fast faces. Not to mention, the One is fully rockered too, so you'll be able to slide, smear, and surf turns through all the deep stuff, while the tapered tip eases turn initiation and makes it easier to throw your skis sideways for permagrin-inducing powerslides and giant slash turns. Now, don't let all this powder fun make you forget that the One is still a Volkl, after all, which means tough construction and surprising frontside abilities. Like most of Volkl's freeride skis, the One has a multi-layer wood core, with ash underfoot to provide stiffness and binding retention, and poplar in the tip and tail for a lively, buttery-smooth ride and low weight. The Power Tough Box torsion-box construction provides plenty of strength when you're torquing the ski into high-G turns. Additionally, the fiberglass-and-composite laminate provides just-enough strength to charge and stomp without making the One feel like you're a straight-lining two-by-four.

Volkl Yumi Ski - Women's Volkl Yumi Ski - Women's
Whether you're craving corduroy, got a hankering for hardpack, or curious as to whether or not trees sound, well, tasty, step into the Volkl Yumi Women's Ski and go get your fill at the all-mountain buffet. Falling on the frontside end of Volkl's women's freeski spectrum, the Yumi's an all-mountain freeski that devours bumps, trees, and groomers, without having to worry about that post-meal indigestion. More specifically, this ski features traditional camber through the body of the ski for grip and stability, but it has a rockered tip that smooths out bumpy rides, cruises over soft patches, and makes it super easy to initiate turns in almost any condition. Additionally, the Yumi boasts a moderate turning radius, making it easy to control, and an 83mm waist that's slim enough to be nimble, but wide enough to provide a stable platform, especially when it comes to tackling East Coast terrain. And while the Yumi's smaller than Volkl's other offerings, it's no shrinking violet. It features the same multi-layer wood core as its big mountain sisters, which is a high-end blend of flexible poplar in the tip and tail, and stiff ash underfoot for power, control, and increased binding retention.
